Good communication and updates from Ela and the team and a trouble-free completion of the sale
Our first buyer pulled out to move abroad, lost the property we liked. Found another buyer and a new property to purchase but had to pull out of that due to probate issues. Found a third property and completed on that this week. The deposit fee had to be paid at the start of each transaction, this was taken in full by Simply Conv (SC) each time the deal fell through, we asked for discount but not interested. SC processes and procedures are just not set up to cope when a chain collapses and you have to find another buyer or property to purchase. On each occasion a admin reset is required which involves setting up a new account, we had to chase each time to get this done which caused unnecessary delays and frustration. The communication with the admin team was very poor and laboured, information given was not always correct, estimates incorrect and so on. All the chasing and checking we had to do to supplement the admin team was very stressful and distressing. Raised all the issues twice but same old issues kept resurfacing. However, our lawyer (Jack) was very good. Always returned our calls, very knowledgeable and helpful. Hope not to have to go through this process again.

Really pleased with the whole process, nobody minded our sometimes daft questions, everything was dealt with really simply and efficiently and they explained each step along the way. We were expecting the process to be a bit of a nightmare to be honest but it really wasn't. Thank you.
The communication throughout the whole process was really bad. Getting hold of people on the phone was incredibly difficult. The information provided to me was not clear and was explained poorly I want to make it clear that this is not directed at anyone in particular as I had the same experience with multiple people at Simply For example, on day of completion, the lawyer dealing with the sale/purchase did not call me and did not answer the phone when I tried to call multiple times. I spoke to the lawyer in question a few days before completing who explained that they would be calling me on the day, which they did not
The appointed property lawyer assigned was very good, she was patient and cheerful whilst helping us navigate the conveyancing process.
We had a great experience, our house sale ran smoothly and our new home purchase was smooth and fast - we would definitely recommend simply conveyancing.
Very efficient
We had very positive interactions with Simply Conveyancing and our solicitor, Jayde. She was prompt when replying to queries and clear with instructions for what we needed to do. It was very helpful to be able to arrange a call at short notice when our situation changed, and she was brilliant at explaining our options. Cost throughout the process were clearly explained. We felt very well supported throughout the home selling and buying experience.
This is a company where in the main you can get to speak to your conveyancer. So rare nowadays where solicitors forget they are being paid by you, and do their own thing in their own time. We were only selling so cannot comment on the buying side. Dealing with our buyer’s solicitor though was tortuous. I would definitely use this company again have now dealt with them twice. Thanks go to Colette Reade who was very helpful
Being the first move in 34 yrs, we needed a little hand holding at times. Kate was calm, informative and kept us updated of progress. House selling and buying in England is a ridiculous flawed system but the process is bearable if you have the right solicitor which we had. Would recommend and use again.
