Frustrating but got there in the end
Our first buyer pulled out to move abroad, lost the property we liked. Found another buyer and a new property to purchase but had to pull out of that due to probate issues. Found a third property and completed on that this week. The deposit fee had to be paid at the start of each transaction, this was taken in full by Simply Conv (SC) each time the deal fell through, we asked for discount but not interested. SC processes and procedures are just not set up to cope when a chain collapses and you have to find another buyer or property to purchase. On each occasion a admin reset is required which involves setting up a new account, we had to chase each time to get this done which caused unnecessary delays and frustration. The communication with the admin team was very poor and laboured, information given was not always correct, estimates incorrect and so on. All the chasing and checking we had to do to supplement the admin team was very stressful and distressing. Raised all the issues twice but same old issues kept resurfacing. However, our lawyer (Jack) was very good. Always returned our calls, very knowledgeable and helpful. Hope not to have to go through this process again.
