Do yourself a favour before buying from this company—go to any search engine and search “Shark Leather reviews.” I wish I had done that first. WARNING ⚠️ If you purchase from them and are unhappy with your product, don’t expect a refund. Instead, you’ll be offered store credit, meaning your money stays with them. Here’s my experience: I bought a pair of riding protective jeans that were on promotion and came with protective padding. I ordered a size 32 (my usual size), but they didn’t fit. I called and was told they’d send me a size 34 if I returned the size 32 and the padding. I questioned why the padding had to be returned since the issue was only with the jeans, but they insisted it was part of their process. I was assured I’d receive the padding back with the new size. To make things worse, I had to pay for return shipping and then pay shipping again to receive the replacement pants. When the size 34 jeans arrived, the padding was missing. I called them again, and they told me the promotion was no longer running. If I wanted the padding, I’d have to buy the padding or the best they can do is give them to me at half price plus pay for the postage—despite having bought the jeans while the promotion was still active and came with the padding I explained that my initial issue was simply a sizing problem, and I shouldn’t have had to send the padding back in the first place. They said they’d look into it, but I never heard back. Gladly taking the L and never deal with these guys again. Avoid this company at all costs. Their customer service is frustrating, and they do not honour their promotions. ✌
Do not purchase S9 helmet intercoms from this company. I have returned 3 intercoms now and none have been returned so I am out of pocket roughly $400 odd. Customer Service used to be really good but this saga has been ongoing since October 2023. I have previously purchased from Shark Motorcycle Leathers and Accessories with no issues at all. That all changed with the issue that I now have with them. I purchased a set of S9 Helmet intercoms and after a year or so, one was returned for warranty repair. The intercom was repaired/replaced under warranty and returned. A couple of months later the second intercom failed so I returned it in October 2023. On the 6th of Feb 2024, I sent an email enquiring where my intercom was/how it was progressing, I received the automated reply of up to 5 days to contact me. In the meantime I purchased another S9 as they were back in stock and I needed to be able to communicate with my pillion passenger (I figured always good to have a back up anyway) After 2 months the intercoms failed and would only emit a high pitched noise. I returned both of those to the company address listed. I still hadn't had a response to the email inquiry. On the 16/04/24, I phoned the company and spoke with a representative who told me he would pass it onto the manager, I forwarded the original email again as requested. On the 13/06/24, I phoned the company and spoke with another representative who told me that he would speak to the boss and get back to me, I forwarded the original email again. I did not receive any contact from Shark Motorcycle Leathers and Accessories and so on the 15/07/24 I forwarded the original email back again requesting to be contacted with some for of resolution. Today the 26/07/24, I decided to write a review of my experience.
Fantastic products from shark leathers and they make it known where things are sourced and made. Offering full custom fitting of all their products too is awesome!! 100% recommended for products & Service!!
Ordered a pinlock visor for my Shoei - the website very clearly highlights same day shipping if the item is in stock. The website stated 6 items in stock - upon enquiry 4 business days later regarding why there had been no shipping of the item, I was advised that the visor was at an "offsite warehouse" and so was not within the same day shipping. In other words they don't actually have stock - they order from another supplier - completely deceptive. When I enquired about cancelling the order, I was met with silence. I waited two days and then entered a Paypal dispute as I have become concerned that I would not receive the visor, or it would come damaged and Shark Leathers apparent terrible customer service would be even worse in trying to resolve that issue. Of further concern was Sharks statements on returns/ cancellations - stating they were not required to do so - In opposition of what is stated from their link to the Queensland Consumer Protection. Avoid them - its just not worth the concern, and what, based on other reviews here show - shonky business practise.
Worst ever on-line experience this company after ordering a Richa-Curtis leather,Size large EU52. This sizing should of allowed for wearing of a jersey or sweat-shirt underneath but I couldn’t even do it up with a tee shirt on, sent it back and they sent me a size 2XL, yeh I could do it up but too tight. At 80 k’s I would hardly describe myself as a large person and requiring a 2XL or even larger but that what’s they did - insisted on sending me a 3XL back in September with arrival date I was told about January. Since then they don’t reply to my emails, when I do get them on the phone the person I need to talk to is on day off, busy with another customer, in a meeting ect ect. The sales manager agreed to refund my money but that decision was reversed by the CEO without consulting or informing me. He is of the opinion that the sizing issue isn’t their fault and he has the right to retain my money as credit and refuses to refund and would rather I spend “my money” on other items I don’t need or want. Since my last e-mail he has ceased to communicate with me. As an early retired partially disabled person living on less than the minimum wage I just don’t have the funds to go out and buy from another source- this was my treat to myself for the year while I can still ride.Instead this self-important CEO sits behind his computer screen with my money in his pocket and I see no other option but to have to save up and look for a second hand one. Should of been cautious when dealing with a company called “Shark” I guess. Who knows what will happen now - they can’t even reply to my last e-mail about a 3XL. Read the reviews, I’m not the first ! Online companies like this ruin it for others
Went to the store and purchased Kevlar lined jeans , I couldn’t find any ratings or product material claims or descriptions, I’d think if the yellow lining was really Kevlar , it would say so , I know Kevlar is a proprietary name and if they put it on they have to pay , but there is nothing but washing instructions, for all I know the pockets for padding are stretchy calico , there is no standard rating sewn on the jeans , they are riveted with protruding rivets , the padding is non rated rubbish , there are a number of test ratings, these are just a pair of jeans

Purchase a leather motorcycle jacket. Delivered in a week. The jacket I love, the fit is perfect as per the fitting guide. I would definitely recommend this company and will certainly be a return customer.
Crooked and deceitful. These people will easily take your money but if something doesn’t fit or is incorrect you are out of luck. You may as well flush your money. Their customer service is not just bad it is non existent.
Bought racing gloves on sale, seams were external and kevlar showing through. Looked completely different to online photo. Faulty product status was rejected and offered credit and no refund which is illegal in Australia. When I advised I would be contacting the ACCC they blocked my email.
Bought some gloves from them about half a year ago. Order: N0005037. After spending about 3 months waiting on the delivery and subsequently being stuck at home due to Covid, I only ended up wearing the said gloves about 10 times. As you will see from the photos they are virtually new; however, the stitching has already failed in a number of places. The material on the palm has deteriorated. Furthermore, the white fluff on the palm was not shown on their listing and looks very ugly. After numerous emails and trying to get a hold of their customer care team they finally told me to send the gloves back for a warranty check up, which I did. Upon receiving the gloves they told me that the warranty period has expired, when it clearly hasn't at the time that I brought facts to their attention. Now I have paid for the gloves, shipping to send them for a warranty check up, and I can't even get them back, because I'd have to pay another shipping fee! This is unacceptable, I can't believe that you treat your customers this way, especially in this whole covid situation! The photos of their horrible quality gloves are below. Would definitely NOT recommend buying from them as they only sell cheap china quality products.
I ordered an item from this store. When it arrived, it didn't fit, was poor quality and in my opinion was significantly different from how it was described on their website. I returned the item at my own expense, expecting a full refund, like most other webstores would offer. Not these guys though - once they have your money, they do everything they can to keep it and not give it back. They only offer you a "store credit" no matter how much you beg for your money back. Tell me... why would I want to spend more money with you guys and more money on postage given the poor quality and misleading representation of the item that I already purchased from you? I tried to call them a number of times, but they only have an answering machine and don't return my calls - especially regarding refund requests. Yes, apparently it is in the terms and conditions of their website that they don't give refunds - however given that we are in another state from them and currently under severe lockdown conditions, they only way we can shop is online. You would think they would have some sympathy for people who are unable to go into stores and actually look at items in person. My advice to anybody who is considering buying from these people is to go into their store and try on the item yourself, look at it in person to confirm it's what they have described and if it is of acceptable quality. If you order online and it arrives and you're not happy with it for some reason - you are stuck with it. Or at the very least, stuck with ordering something else from their store. That's AFTER you have paid for shipping to order the item in the first place, then paid to have the faulty item shipped back and then paid AGAIN for shipping to order the next replacement item! I have since referred my complaint regarding the faulty item / misleading description to Consumer Affairs. I will let them sort it out.
I ordered a pair of jeans from these guys. When they arrived they were clearly sized incorrectly a full size too large. I returned them at my own expense and asked for a refund. They refused a refund and only offered account credit. I would advise against doing business with this company.
Bought a Shark Leathers 4 seasons waterproof protective flannel 4xl didnt fit me even though usually wear 3xl clothing. Called and they said yep return for exchange to 6xl no dramas. Sent in box with express satchel. (my own expense) They called today 20/08/2020 and told me item is ripped and stained and they will not exchange or refund. His solution was to return damaged, i said mate I paid 200 dollars for something that i wanted a return exchange of. Not only did i not get my exchange, your telling me the thing is damaged after wearing it once to trying and sending off next day or so in a box. Would never, ever buy from these people. I refused the return of the item on principle that it was not damaged upon sending back. The guy even had the nerve saying i must have rode my bike with it. What a robbery of a truly honest persons money. Been riding for 20 odd years now and i honsetly am very disapointed. This is why our country is failing as a great place to live.
I bought a bad quality gloves. I made a complaint since 30/05/2020 and they haven't solved it. More than a month waiting. They asked me to send back the gloves to the shop and they were going to assume the shipping cost and were going to send me a label. I never received the label. I had to assume the shipping cost. I'm still waiting the replacement or my money back.
I purchased motorcycle pants online from Shark Leathers and what I received bore no resemblance to the product pictured online, and was of very poor quality. When I replied to their customer service email to return the goods, it came back as 'address not found'. I rang a few times and explained that I would like to return the unopened goods for a refund and was eventually told they would not provide a refund. I am now pursuing through the ACCC. Avoid.
