Easy and convenient.

Sakura Mobile is very easy to set up via eSIM which is what I went for. We travelled a fair amount in Japan and I had good coverage everywhere we went. The price was fair (equivalent to about £25 per week for unlimited use). I wasn’t sure how to set up the eSIM at first so I emailed Sakura Mobile help center. They replied within an hour and walked me through the IOS recommended settings. 10/10. Will use again and would highly recommend.

Amazing experience

All the processes was easy eve that i had an issue with the data not working because I did something wrong in the process, i contacted them through email and they were super fast and helpful and helped me to fix the issue, thanks for the amazing team and i highly recommend it

Great wifi option for foreigners

I set up my wifi through Sakura Mobile. The process was easy and well-priced! I tried to get wifi through a local company in very rural Kochi prefecture, but my application was rejected (a Japanese friend said it was likely because I'm a foreigner). We reached out to Sakura Mobile and they had the set-up process in motion the same day! Of course, it takes awhile to set up--they send you a router/modem/thing, and need to set a date for remote installation--but I hear that's just standard in Japan. So compared to other options in the country, it's super fast, too!

The reception is great on campus so around Kyushu university but whenever I go to the city it is impossible to communicate with anyone by text or by using the data...

Student In Japan, Best Service Ever.

I traveled to Japan to study for 6 months. As of now 2 months in, I have to say Sakura Mobile is a life saver. Not once has the connection been bad or spotty and I can't tell how many times I would have been lost or struggled without it. I purchased the 200gb a month option. Best experience one can have whilst traveling abroad.

Don’t use Sakura e-sims.

Do Not use Sakura. My e-sim didn’t connect and their online support robot unhelpfully replied that enquiries typically take about 24 hours to respond. So could take longer than 24 hours! This is after you have tapped to deny any prospect of a refund- required in the activation process. I had hoped warning them of this review might prompt assistance. They are much faster at taking your money. They left me dependent on wifi- utterly useless customer support. Score 0/10.” For clarity I am pasting here in inverted commas the “help” Sakura provide “Your email has been received and is being reviewed by our team. Our support staff will get back to you typically within 24 hours”.
