Easy and convenient.

Sakura Mobile is very easy to set up via eSIM which is what I went for. We travelled a fair amount in Japan and I had good coverage everywhere we went. The price was fair (equivalent to about £25 per week for unlimited use). I wasn’t sure how to set up the eSIM at first so I emailed Sakura Mobile help center. They replied within an hour and walked me through the IOS recommended settings. 10/10. Will use again and would highly recommend.

Amazing experience

All the processes was easy eve that i had an issue with the data not working because I did something wrong in the process, i contacted them through email and they were super fast and helpful and helped me to fix the issue, thanks for the amazing team and i highly recommend it

I went Japan early in October for 8…

I went Japan early in October for 8 days I used Sakura mobile card Once the setup of my mobile was done I did work perfectly well I stay mostly around Tokyo

Do not recomended - Internet is limited and stopped working the 3r day.

I've bought a unlimited card 30 days for a 1 month trip to japan. The 3r day stopped working. I've emailed them and I got the first reply after my trip was already over. No refund and no apologies. Just a terrible service that don't reflect the quality standard that we are used in Japan. They don't want to payback the money because with the order confirmation information they say that is not enough and that need a photo of the sim? Do they think that I will save the sim that is not working 3 months after my trip?

We were positively surprised of the ease and use.

We have been travelling ni Japan for 2 weeks and have used the SIM card without any troubles what-so-ever. The pick up at the airport was as fast and easy as the installation. The card had reception everywhere without any hick-ups. We were anxious for the usage due to the earlier posted reviews and therefore probably more positive suprised by the outcome.

“Flatrate”- No internet after using 5gb

I paid 9500 yen for a “flatrate” for 23 days, but after using more than 5gb the sim was deactivated and i was lost and could not even use google maps. Just buy a regular sim, that will be way cheaper and also have SMS and phone, which sakura mobile does not. The actual provider is Docomo. Sakura Mobile looks like a tourist scam. I highly advise against using this. My negative review on sakuramobile’s website was immediately hidden…

Extremely misleading data structure.

Extremely misleading data structure. 3 months with 5 gb means that you'll get 5 gb offered over the entire 3 months. After this you get super slow speeds (even lowest quality YouTube videos do not function) and this is further lowered to an entirely unusable speed if you use a paltry 300mb per month. I recommend using ninja/mobal instead as they are transparent, well priced and I've previously had nothing but great customer service. I will undo this review as well as my other upcoming social media posts if I am provided with the 5gb for my remaining 2 months.

Easy and without trouble

I have been very pleased with a 4G SIM card solution from Sakura Mobile. Convenient pick-up at the airport which I specified when ordering. Great coverage and performance during my trip to Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama, Okayama, Osaka, Hiroshoma and Kyoto. I never got the SIM card to work with my home-brought Huawei mobile wifi hotspot, because I was unable to set the APN authorization settings. But I just used the SIM card in my smartphone, and used that as a mobile hotspot when needed for my travel companions. Very easy drop-off. Put the SIM card + accessories in a pre-filled envelope and drop it in an airport mailbox. I greatly appreciated that I could check my data usage online during my trip.
