We made enquiries about a further cruise (this would have been our third) with Riviera. The quality of food & service on the previous ones was excellent, Unfortunately we'd had to cancel our planned Douro river cruise planned for Sept 2025 due to the airline cancelling the booked flights from Birmingham. Laurie Mathieson at Riviera went to considerable lengths to try to accommodate our needs to re-plan the cruise for September 2026. His customer care and client focus was exceptional. Unfortunately we didn't rebook since there was no guarantee the airline wouldn't cancel its Birmingham flights in 2026, as it had in 2025. Such a shame because we cannot overstate Laurie's care & attention and we've loved the two cruises we've been on.

I went in October on the Puglia, Lecce and Vieste holiday. I was very disappointed to find the itinerary to be highly unsatisfactory, with too little time in the world heritage places and too long in the coach. Group sizes are in my opinion too big , about 40, so this means that they book hotels that are miles away from anywhere, as with the one near Matera. The strangest decision of Riviera Travel was to drive 3 hours to Vieste, almost closed in October, and cold, which then necessitated getting up very early to leave for the airport in Brindisi on our return. The area of Puglia is bursting with wonderful towns.much closer to Brindisi and Bari. Why they don't stay in this area is mindless.

Have used Riviera for numerous holidays and always had excellent service. Here’s to our next holiday .
