I went to the Destinations Show to meet the Riviera people in person. The reps were very efficient, listened to what I wanted and came up with a solution. I have used Riviera before and find them an excellent company to deal with.

We booked a guided tour to Sicily in June using Riviera’s website. This was an all inclusive package, including flights and hotels. It was remarkably easy to do and everything worked smoothly. My only quibble, and it is a small one, is why I needed to create an account password having at least 14 characters.

I needed additional information before booking our River Cruise so phoned and spoke to Shana. She was friendly, knowledgeable and patient and held our booking so that I was able to discuss different options with our travelling companions. She made the whole booking experience less stressful. Booked a holiday yesterday for one of two available dates in 2026. Really should have selected the other one, but when requested this afternoon, Riviera wants to charge £40. It can only just have been over the 24 hour window when I rang back, but they won't budge on this. Considering this is my first holiday with Riviera and the trip is not until 2026, I think it's very harsh (OK so yes, it's in accordance with the booking conditions, but how jobsworth!). Not a good start to our relationship!
