We booked the holiday by telephone. Amanda understood the questions we asked and was able to provide detailed answers. The financial aspect was clear and the process of paying the deposit was done over a secure line. The e-mail confirmation with further information followed a short time after the telephone conversation.

It was very straightforward and easy to select and book our holiday online. However it took a week for our flights to be confirmed.

The Riviera web site is clean yet detailed and informative, making cruise selection easy. Payment schedule is helpful.

Andrew Sage was brilliant, spoke to him a few days ago and went through details. He promised to call back last night and did so. Then completed booking very efficiently even though the card payment system had a small glitch which he sorted. Very impressed.

Very easy process to book the holiday. Spoke to Kevin and he was very informative and reassuring as I was a little nervous as a first time solo group traveller.

While the process itself was easy enough, there were a couple of problems: as I understood it at the time, booking early came with a discount - this did not happen. Maybe I should have waited until later in the year or maybe I didn’t read it right. Also, as the deposit is non-refundable I tried to get cancellation insurance on it ( I was advised to do this by a Riviera rep). I could not find anyone to cover it. Possibly my fault, I will admit.

I found the sales assistant Niki Foster very helpful & friendly Any queries she was able to answer straight away There was an issue with the booking but Niki kept me informed throughout & managed to resolve the issue within 2 days to our benefit Overall a pleasant experience with a lovely holiday to look forward to

The experience itself was very good with a knowledgeable and thorough adviser but it took a long time to get through. The lines seemed busy all the previous afternoon.

My booking call was answered swiftly.. Having travelled with Riviera before my details were found swiftly. Apart from speaking too quickly … the member of staff was efficient and handled the payment smoothly. I had a confirmation email back within five minutes. There was no ‘hassle’. Hopefully the holiday will go as smoothly with no last minute alterations, strikes or changes….!

I was very impressed by the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful Candice (and Kevin briefly!) whilst I asked her a lot of questions. Pro-active with suggestions and options, and absolutely on the ball. Both conversations were immediately followed up with emails detailing our conversations. So far, Riviera Travel has more than lived up to its excellent reputation! Thank you!

I saw the five day river cruise advertised in The Times at a competitive price (from £1,299), so went on-line only to find that there was no availability for a single traveller. I therefore telephoned and discovered that in fact there WAS availability but at an extremely high price - in excess of £3,500! I have, however, booked for April 2026, as the single supplement was more affordable, but it's a long time to wait.

We've had eleven holidays with Riviera and they've all been great. Can't recommend them enough.
