I don’t know why there is no option for zero star . Worst service ever, after moving to other provider rebel still taking money. They took more than 6 month to set up my online account but i am still not able to login that account. If you try to contact them automated line says contact British gas , if you call British gas they says we don’t have access. What should i do because i paid more then £900 for 4 month and we are only 3 living
have been billed for the same period by both Rebel Energy and British Gas, and it has left me with a £246 bill from Rebel and British Gas now demanding £175 for that same timeframe. I paid Rebel Energy on 22 April and 19 May 2025, both times £123 — yet British Gas claims they were supplying my electricity starting 5 April.
I've called and emailed numerous times to try and get clarity on billing periods, to cross-check what I actually owe — but still no clear response. On top of that, I can’t even log into my Rebel Energy account anymore to verify anything for myself.
The lack of communication between Rebel Energy and British Gas is appalling. It is completely unacceptable how customers have been left in the dark and expected to chase down answers themselves, while being charged hundreds of pounds without proper explanation.
All I’ve asked for is a clear breakdown of the billing periods and for Rebel to communicate directly with British Gas to confirm the payments I’ve already made.
Do not bother replying with the usual “If you'd like to resolve this, please contact us” — I ALREADY HAVE. Repeatedly. Still no help.
Sort this out. This is NOT how you treat customers.
I keep getting cold called from foreign call centres on behalf of rebel energy - I get 4 calls per day from withheld numbers -which is highly illegal and will be reported to the ICO to investigate - they clearly employ 3rd party call centres to cold call people with directly or through 3rd party brokers.
Update!!! Your reply is not true because I went through the call and they transferred me through to you to switch my energy !!! Lies lies lies
De-Juan was very helpful and knowledgeable. Cost associated with my house move seems very high so a plan of action is in place to monitor and resolve. Can't ask for more than that!
Spoke with Parian and she was very pleasant and not to pushy , answered all my questions very well and left me feeling very confident about rebel energy
Terrible customer service
We have had issues between rebel energy and a 3rd party supplier. It took over a month to get the previous account closed with the third party. We have then been told that rather than creating a new account and billing the old account with money transfered in we have to pay for all electric and gas used between the start of our tenancy and now despite the other account still having £300 in it.
They also changed the account details on the new account to say ive managed it from the start when i havent. It was managed by the third party.
They have since told us the £300 in the old account cannot be transferred and we need to contact the 3rd party to contact rebel energy and then contact ourselves again to refund this money. Since my name is on both accounts, I am unsure why it was not either billed correctly in the first place, or transferred across. Instead I am out £300
