I don’t know why there is no option for zero star . Worst service ever, after moving to other provider rebel still taking money. They took more than 6 month to set up my online account but i am still not able to login that account. If you try to contact them automated line says contact British gas , if you call British gas they says we don’t have access. What should i do because i paid more then £900 for 4 month and we are only 3 living
have been billed for the same period by both Rebel Energy and British Gas, and it has left me with a £246 bill from Rebel and British Gas now demanding £175 for that same timeframe. I paid Rebel Energy on 22 April and 19 May 2025, both times £123 — yet British Gas claims they were supplying my electricity starting 5 April.
I've called and emailed numerous times to try and get clarity on billing periods, to cross-check what I actually owe — but still no clear response. On top of that, I can’t even log into my Rebel Energy account anymore to verify anything for myself.
The lack of communication between Rebel Energy and British Gas is appalling. It is completely unacceptable how customers have been left in the dark and expected to chase down answers themselves, while being charged hundreds of pounds without proper explanation.
All I’ve asked for is a clear breakdown of the billing periods and for Rebel to communicate directly with British Gas to confirm the payments I’ve already made.
Do not bother replying with the usual “If you'd like to resolve this, please contact us” — I ALREADY HAVE. Repeatedly. Still no help.
Sort this out. This is NOT how you treat customers.
Rang in regard to energy switch final readings not asked for from old supplier. Jaydrin was most helpful and took my reading.although contradictory of their email stating would request them from me and not from old supplier who had subsequently closed my account. But all sorted now. Thank you Jaydrin. Katy.
simple, fast and painless process. no waiting around for speeches or massive verses, helpful. phone was a little crackly but still managed to get done in less than 10 mins
I joined rebel energy since June and it took 4 months for them to prepare and send me my bill despite the fact that I keep calling every week.
The customer service is rubbish as the don’t ever resolve any issuer.
After sending an engineer to install a smart meter in my property? The began sending me outrageous bills and refuse to display my usage on the smart meter so I can monitor.
Now I’m looking to switch and they wouldn’t update my details on the national dater base so no energy supplier can take me on.
This is a very frustrating experience with them and I strongly discourage anyone from using them as the only care about money and not the customer.
Absolute shambles of a company, pretty much forced to get smart meters fitted although no screen was available, however it turns out my electric smart meter wasnt sending readings, i knew my gas wasnt. DO NOT USE THEM !! as soon as my bills are sorted im leaving !!!
Customer service came up with a plan to help, still leaving i cant trust them !!
Excellent!! Call was answered by a person in a couple of rings. It was a pleasure to speak to Queenie she was amazing and solved the problem very efficiently.
