I don’t know why there is no option for zero star . Worst service ever, after moving to other provider rebel still taking money. They took more than 6 month to set up my online account but i am still not able to login that account. If you try to contact them automated line says contact British gas , if you call British gas they says we don’t have access. What should i do because i paid more then £900 for 4 month and we are only 3 living

Awful Transition to British Gas

have been billed for the same period by both Rebel Energy and British Gas, and it has left me with a £246 bill from Rebel and British Gas now demanding £175 for that same timeframe. I paid Rebel Energy on 22 April and 19 May 2025, both times £123 — yet British Gas claims they were supplying my electricity starting 5 April. I've called and emailed numerous times to try and get clarity on billing periods, to cross-check what I actually owe — but still no clear response. On top of that, I can’t even log into my Rebel Energy account anymore to verify anything for myself. The lack of communication between Rebel Energy and British Gas is appalling. It is completely unacceptable how customers have been left in the dark and expected to chase down answers themselves, while being charged hundreds of pounds without proper explanation. All I’ve asked for is a clear breakdown of the billing periods and for Rebel to communicate directly with British Gas to confirm the payments I’ve already made. Do not bother replying with the usual “If you'd like to resolve this, please contact us” — I ALREADY HAVE. Repeatedly. Still no help. Sort this out. This is NOT how you treat customers.

The phone was answered before the electronic message had time to inform me where I would be in the queue; so I didn't queue. I spoke with a very affable and helpful chap named Neal. He dealt with my enquiry quickly and professionally, which I have found to be the norm with Rebel energy. Impressive service, thanks.

Always a pleasure to contact the Customer Service of Rebel Energy as all the staff I have conversed with have been kind and considerate about what I asked. Fatima was very helpful and informative I am led to believe I am now in credit by£43.84 after all amounts were reviewed I don’t pretend to understand how the Rebel bill list is displayed but I did know having been away in Scotland with everything switched that I must have surely been using less energy So I’ll wait ( as Kalsi suggested in 2nd phone call today ) to see next bill since meter reading today I have asked for a smart meter please Thankyou foot Fatima’s patience and attempt to explain to mein afraid I am now good at following the list as it was displayed Thankyou

Do not use this Company !!!

Moved into emergency accommodation,.was told they didn't know who the electrical supplier was. Told my previous supplier I wanted to carry on with them as I get a discount for having a disability. Then to get an email 7 weeks later I owe £280 for 7 weeks ? Rang Customer Service (which is abroad) I was advised they sent a welcome pack (which i didnt). Tried to make a complaint and was told there was nothing they can do. I rang the finance team, and spoke to Diane W. May I say she needs recognition for her good work, unlike your Customer Service. Diane W had empathy and compassion and was easy to talk to. 5stars to Diane. Spoke to previous supplier as to why I was being billed for 8 weeks in total. I was advised that Rebel Energy was not responding for them to take over from the 13th October, and they have taken over from the 28th November. Rang energy Ombudsman. And was told that I had to make a Complaint. Which i advised ive already tried and they didn't except this. So tried again calling on the 11th December got through to the Complaints team, and really it was like talking to a brick wall. Again didnt except my Complaint was told they would see if it is a Complaint ? I haven't recieved an email to confirm that I've made a complaint and they have 8 weeks to look into this. What sort of Company are you running ? As it seems you don't follow Energy Ombudsman rules and regulations. When a Complaint is made (twice may I add) you are supposed to email with confirmation that you are looking into this. Ive recieved nothing from yourselves.

Spoke to Queenie about my temporary Landlords account which had been overcharged due to inflated estimated meter readings. She e-mailed me the correct final bill while on the call and all resolved. Thank you.

Neal was very helpful and friendly

Neal was very helpful and friendly. He was able to resolve an issue I have had with the new app since swapping to Rebel energy. He took new meter readings from me and made sure everything was covered. Excellent service overall.
