No completion of work and poor customer service

We purchased a cabin-style office for the garden of one of our care homes in March 2025. The team who came to install it were friendly and kind to our residents, which we appreciated. However, the experience quickly turned disappointing. As the cabin neared completion, the contractors ran out of flooring and skirting. They assured us they would return the following week to finish the job—but they never did. Over the next month, we made multiple attempts to contact them. Initially, they responded and promised to come back, but eventually they stopped answering our calls altogether. We then reached out to Project Timber’s customer service team several times via phone and email. Each time, we spoke to a different representative who assured us the issue would be escalated and someone would be in touch to arrange completion. Despite these repeated assurances, no one followed through. It’s now September—six months since the project began—and the cabin remains unfinished. The flooring is incomplete, there’s no skirting, and there’s visible damage from the installation process. We’re deeply disappointed and now forced to hire external contractors to fix these issues at additional cost. This has been a frustrating and upsetting experience, especially given the vulnerable setting of a care home. We had hoped for a professional and reliable service, but unfortunately, that’s not what we received.

I purchased a shed and i am not happy

I purchased a shed from them all i can say is you can buy better sheds from B&Q. The wood is like it was made from the wood you use in fencing panels. They also look like its been thrown together. Instructions are impossible to read online and there are not even any video instructions. The gaps between the panels leak. Maybe all the one star reviews should get together and look in to some sort of legal action. Customer service is poor after all the issues they offered me £50 which is an insult. I am still willing to work with them to resolve this but i been told i must be mad.

After sale

A panel turned up, broken up. once able to get through to project timber they got a new one shipped out as overnight. Then notice didn't have enough screws to complete. It contacted project timber again and then having some sent out after sales being really good. Only downfall is there is no one To answer the phones over weekends. And the insurctions to build it could be more simple and in more detail and mable a vidio to help with each part to make sure its all done the way it should be, also insurction on how to build the base that i got with them would have helped, Thank you Nichole for all the help

Wouldn't recommend this company

Wouldn't recommend this company. Ordered a shed and set a delivery date for the following Friday. I received an order confirmation but no tracking information. I waited until the day of delivery and still didn't hear anything so I called up. I was told there was a problem with the courier and that it would now be delivered on the Monday. I booked the day off work to make sure I could take delivery for Monday. Monday came and still nothing. I called again and apparently there had been another issue with the courier. The people I spoke to on the phone were apologetic but couldn't really help as it was with the courier. I was told it would be delivered Wednesday. Wednesday came round and still nothing. I called up again and asked for a refund. I was told I couldn't get the refund until the shed was back in their possession (even though I'd never seen it). I genuinely thought I'd been scammed until I finally received my refund. Wasted 2 weeks of my time and also had my money for almost 3 weeks. Avoid and go elsewhere.

Do not buy from this company do not pay the driver properly make them work all hr the sheds are crap nail sticking out the side as a driver, you would do free deliveries and always have to collect sheds because not made properly and getting driver's to work 17.5hr a day with 3hr brake between shifts I did 17.5hr on a Monday finish at 12am and then made me come back to work at 5 at on the Tuesday morning got no one to build the sheds and letting customers down and they give customers personal phone number without consent do not work for this company and DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY YOUR SHED WILL BE BOAD DAMAGED, CRACKED OR JUST FALL INTO BITS OR MAY HAVE A NAIL STICKING OUT THE SIDE ALL THE VANS ARE OVERLOADED.

Hobby Shed

Delivery was ok. But I think later than originally expected. Shed seems good. Annoying the corner facias/cloaking supplied were too short. I was sent replacements but they are too narrow and don’t cover the corners properly.

Great staff, nice building, bad management

A long journey with this company. Initially they provided the wrong dimensions for the concrete base on our building, so we had to get it extended after their assemblers drove four hours to start work and found they couldn't. Finally, weeks later, it is done, and we are happy with the building which represents good value compared to the market. What is outstanding is the attitude and diligence of the two gentlemen who put the thing together - Billy & Michael. They embodied hard work, positivity, politeness and the ability to think outside of the box to solve problems not of their making, Thanks guys, in lesser hands this would have been a disaster. The management of this firm, however, are the worst sort. They expect the assemblers to use their own tools; they send them on five hour each way journeys rather than put them up in a nearby hotel for the night; they don't take phone calls, they hide behind their staff who cannot make decisions without their say-so. To get any decision whatsoever takes repeated phone calls and emails. It is clear that internal comms within this business are poor.Project Timber is an ok firm; with better management it could be way better. Luckily, it is saved by their staff.

Very Pleased.

We bought a summerhouse from Project Timber and have now finished building it. Delivery was spot on and all unloaded by the helpful driver. I built a raised deck with plenty of joists to support the building with 4x4 posts set in concrete. The panels were painted prior to construction. The floor panels were accurate and flat. The wall and window panels fitted snugly as did the roof panels, only minor jiggling required to get everything square. However, some nails had missed the battens on roof panels and wall panels. This caused some splintering but not the end of the world; I knocked back the nails and replaced with screws. Some roof boards had been crudely assembled and had gaps between them. This looks unsightly. We will line the roof with ply. The locks supplied for the main door are both too large and cannot be used. I've bought a shorter lock. The roof felt is very thin. I have doubts that it will last very long. This though is not the end of the world. Apart from these niggles we are very pleased. We would buy another and if it had more accurate nailing, closer roof panel boards and accessories of the right size this would be a five star review. The completed building looks amazingly good and we are very pleased

Wonder company and wonderful staff

We found this company on Ebay, we were a little unsure whether to buy but we did. And what an excellent company to buy from. Shed ordered and delivered on the date quoted 5* for that. The shed was in perfect condition on arrival. Asked customer services for the instruction booklet, late wednesday on the 20/08/25 and it was emailed to me before lunch on the 21/08/25. May i take a moment to thank Nicole Orage, the customer service executive for all her help she has been wonderful and a credit to your company.

Andy was fantastic with us.

Andy was fantastic with us. I worked in sales myself for a good few years and so I know a bad salesman when I meet one… Andy is very likeable, knowledgeable, helpful and genuine. I’m a paraplegic in a wheelchair and despite the show area still being under construction (nit fully accessible YET) Andy bent over backwards to accommodate… He simply couldn’t do enough for us and between us, we found a way to get me in to see everything. Me and the wife had a REALLY positive experience and genuinely enjoyed the process if ordering our garden-house. Can’t wait to get it here and installed… Cheers to Andy and Project Timber!

Appalling service

Appalling service. I was asked to pick a date for my summer house to be delivered. Bare in mind this company offers next day delivery. I picked a date almost a week later. Waited in on the due date, it didn't show, spoke to Sam at Project Timber was told they didn't have a van big enough to deliver. I was told it would be delivered two days later ams once again no show. Same excuse no can big enough. My summerhouse due again today and you guessed it, no van big enough. Why do they use a courier company who doesn't have big enough vehicles for their products. I'm done with them, refund on its way. But not until the courier deliveries the house back to their depot. What the heck, are they sending it by plane? As they don't have vans big enough I thought. Appalling, will be chasing refund with card holder.

From the initial contact through the selection process Andy and Sam were excellent. Very personable, extremely knowledgeable and as helpful as anyone could be. Delivery was very prompt and the driver most helpful. Assembly of the shed was easy following the detailed instructions supplied. I now have an excellent shed in my back yard - THANK YOU TO YOU ALL

I would not recommend this company or…

I would not recommend this company or their products. Their pricing is middle of the range so in return you expect a slightly better level of service and quality. That was not my experience. The shed arrived a day earlier than agreed, I was not home as I had booked the next day off work to receive the delivery. The delivery team took it upon themselves to just leave the shed on the pallet in the middle of my driveway. No communication. Building the shed was a far worse experience. I have built many sheds and am a competent DIY’er. This shed was the worst I have ever built. The instructions are online only and poorly set out, all of the smaller panels were missing their part numbers and there were various warped panels. The roof comes in 4 sections rather than the usual 2 x OSB boards, this resulted in significant gaps in the structure. It took several hours longer than it should have and what I have ended up with is a sub-par leaky timber box!
