I would not buy from this company.

I would not use this company again! After searching for a summerhouse for my elderly father with dementia, I chose this online website as it was promising delivery within a few days. On the actual day of delivery (4 days after ordering) the time slot disappeared from the tracking just after the time it should have been delivered. I then phoned the courier company to find out what was happening, they then advised that the order hadn't even been loaded onto the delivery truck as the pallet had almost collapsed. Then had to phone project timber who knew nothing about it, but they then promised another delivery more two weeks later, which would be on a Saturday, we agreed reluctantly and then received an email confirming delivery! but come the day, waited and waited. No delivery. No contact, but as they were closed on a Saturday had to wait until the Monday morning. Telephoned the company and the excuse given was the van was broke. I asked for a refund and was told it would be 3 to 5 days for the refund. Bearing in mind they had already had just under a 1000 of our money for just on a month! Anyway a refund didn't go back in as promised, so we had to then involve the bank who then raised a dispute and refunded the money that way. I would never use this company. They are very polite on the phone but then again so are most scammers

Delivery is a nightmare

Bought a shed Sunday, was told delivery Tuesday. Called Tuesday as I had no tracking details and was told delivery due between 2-4, no delivery by 5 so called again to be told was an issue and wasn’t able to deliver, but was sent tracking details and assured it would be with me first thing today (Wednesday) I tracked last night to find it hadn’t even been loaded onto the van Tuesday and so the 2-4 time slot was a complete lie! called today for update and not loaded onto van again so no delivery today! Project timber saying its delivery company’s fault as they were given false details from them which they passed onto me. I get that but project timber use this delivery company and so are responsible. So far 2 days missed work waiting for a delivery and out of pocket as paid a company to build today but wasn’t delivered. Project timber have kept in contact but doesn’t help me still waiting on my shed, I have asked for compensation but been told they can only give me what they get from shipping company as they would need to claim it back…don’t really know what else to say other than I’m disappointed and wouldn’t recommend or use again unless shipping company was changed

Good experience with a few issues that were resolved.

I purchased a shed from Project Timber recently and overall it has been a decent experience. They delivered on time and the order process was pretty straightforward. The only issue I had was I had a large piece missing but a quick phone call later the missing piece was sent out for next day or following day delivery. It was a bit of a pain as I was halfway through building, but at least it was resolved. The shed itself seems pretty solid and has gone together so far fairly easily, not too sure about the online instructions though as the instructions are for 3-4 different size sheds and they get a bit confusing at times. Maybe a set of instructions for each individual shed would be better.

Tall shed are NOT tall

I ordered the hobbyist tall H100 pent shed. Granted I didn’t read the whole page. But how can you advertise a shed as a taller than normal roof and then provide a door that is 5ft 3inch tall (1.62m)? In six foot and smashed my head after the builders constructed it. It’s rubbish. The thing is flimsy as an another review just commented. Despite being laid on a custom made concrete base. The builders had to brace it as it would not stand upright. This is after they threw the crappy nails and screws supplied away and used proper construction quality fixings and a nail gun. The “glass” is also opaque plastic which is terrible. Inside the roof is so low the only way to light would be strips on the beams or lights on the wall taking away valuable space. Given their response (and yes they did respond quickly which was good) that if we cut above the doors to make it usable it might weaken further the already weak structure. I am kind of stuck. I will probably have to risk this, and apply more structural support than was already applied. Failing that it’s £1200 totally wasted and probably being torn down and burnt. Plus side if they are responsive and deliver was very good.

Well it was delivered.

Only thing that went right was delivery, delivered on the right date. For a £1500 shed, i feel I could have gotten better from B&Q. I get it's wood, it's natural and not square but that's why we buy sheds from companies that can make it so. No panels lined up properly supports rotten and not actually secured, windows are some translucent plastic and no option for glass panes, don't even get me started on the doors. Litterally no response from PT when complaining at all, not even a "Go fly a kite".

Very flimsy, but looks ok once finished.

Whilst the value for money, delivery, and instructions were good, it is incredibly flimsy and needed a lot of reinforcing, especially the door which is not in any way a secure option if you want to keep anything in it like a bicycle etc. Also, you really need a decent base which is perfectly flat, and properly compacted, otherwise you will struggle to get things aligned properly. Possibly the only thing that saved it for me was that it can be put together on your own without too much difficulty.

Great customer service !

Highly recommend them, From using there website to having the shed delivered has been a great experience. Delivery driver was most helpful and pleasant. Shed was packaged well and nothing broken, Good quality timber. We changed are mind about where the door should be on the shed which meant having to change end panels to accommodate this, Contacted the sales team and they arranged to swap the panels for us without any issues and were very understanding. Would purchase again, Thank you guys.

Shocking Customer Service

My Friend Steve purchased a shed from them. Shocking Customer Service, Plus their sheds are not made very good. Damaged wood. Split wood. Its not worth the £1600 paid. My advice is to avoid them. Just search Project Timber Reviews on Youtube or look at the one star reviews on here.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. We bought a 16x8ft composite summerhouse. The verdict: The company website is misleading. Customer service isn't great although the people seemed nice and polite. The prodct quality is terrible. The cost is too expensive for the quality of the product. I cannot recommend at all. The product quality: For a company that advertises quality timber the wood work is shoddy, uneven and ill fitted. Terrible quality for the cost. I cannot believe it goes through any standard of quality checks before it leaves their warehouse as it is truly poor quality carpentry. As the reviews at the time were generally good, we decided to stick with the included timber frame windows rather than pay the extra 3 grand for PVC! The window frames are uneven, poorly jointed, with large gaps allowing for water to enter the building easily and have no sills for run off. They jam when opening and closing.  The door has a 1cm gap all around it and a 2-3cm gap in between the two, allowing more rain in and of course the lovely critters that need a slightly drier place to hide away.  Again, they said no sills were included but we did find some among the rubble. He have had to remove both the doors and windows to fix and reset these issues. The flooring boards come on panels, we paid extra for thicker wood but it still feels very flimsy. The panels don't appear to be fixed to anything so lift when walked on, we had to nail these to each other, otherwise it would be a trip hazzard and cause damage to anything we put on the floor. The flooring also said pressure treated and wasn't but when challenged they highlighted the fine print which stated only treated runners, underneath. The service: We ordered a very pricey summer house and paid and extra two and a half grand for assembly  by the company. project timber sent the freelance workers with only half of the needed materials, they didn't sent them with the roofing material and ,typically in England, it poured down! They didn't even have a tarp to put over the shell of a building untill the next day when they could return with the remaining supplies (the website and customer service team will tell you it is all delivered in one pack on day 1 ready for either self assembly or their workers to do this, BS). The rain got it, soaked the soft wood (not pressure treated) inside and saturated the insulation material. The builders weren't given any specific instructions from Project Timber, felt like they were sent in blind a bit,  like I had ordered an ofset door and they built it centrally. Too late to change it and a bare bones appology from Project Timber. They came the next day to add the roofing rubber but couldn't add the internal cladding due to the soaked interior. I requested replacement insulation and they came back a week later to finish it. I'm not convinced they actually swapped out the damaged insulation as they took both replacement rolls home with them. On that Third trip (for an alleged max 2 day install) they were still sent with inadequate supplies to complete. So arranged for a fourth visit! I had to call myself and sort this as they never communicated. They cancelled on the morning of, after we arranged for someone to be home all day in anticipation. They didnt reschedule untill I called again for a week later. At this point it was week 5 of a 2 day job! And nobody showed up! I took a day off work to be home for it. At this point I gave up. The company sent the remaining peices via courier and I hired a joiner locally, to finish the job. I managed to get a partial refund of the building fee but that was a drop in the ocean of this trashpile. I will not recommend to anyone. Please don't waste your money.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a problem with delivery so it was delayed for a week, the doors are slightly big, needed plainin. Couple of cracks in panels (nothing major). It was also packaged very poorly on delivery. The instructions are all online and no option for paper instructions which made our job alot harder having to stop to flick through pages online. However after saying all this i would 100% buy from project timber again as before purchasing i spend 3-4 weeks doing research and this is by far the cheapest option. The wood is very good quality and looks fantastic! Its been stressful but worth every minute.

Customer service is outstanding.

Customer service is outstanding. Ordered a summer house which was delivered next workday. One construction I Had a problem with roof supports due to a fault and the replacement arrived less than 30 hours later. The phone always gets answered and as a customer I am pleased that I spoke to a person and not a computer. Well done to Project Timber, this is how customers should be dealt with.

New Shed

Shed was delivered on time, unfortunately during transport the paint leaked, not a problem as it was on the roof segments, and one door was badly warped. Emailed project Timber and what a customer service, new door and a new pot of paint getting delivered today, this is up to now the best customer service I ever had the opportunity to encounter. My compliments to project timbers after sales department. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ service.
