Review summary
Postoffice has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Parcel returned from Royal mail. Post office staff did not know why although they had completed the CN22 and I signed it. The parcel came back after 7 weeks with a CN15(b) form on the returned parcel. After 15 minutes, they sent me off with a contact number that could not help. Poor service. Visit an alternative post office if you want your post to be delivered.
My local Postman is great BUT when it comes to parcels they do not come any where near the time that they are due such as 9:30 11:45. It it ALWAYS well into the afternoon.
This makes it impossible to plan. I have commitments which I am willing to work around but NOT the WHOLE DAY.
If you say you will deliver between these time THEN YOU SHOULD.
On top of that it's the same guy - who's not too friendly - it's like you have disturbed him by having a parcel delivered.
Possibly the worst delivery company in the UK.
The regular guys are great who deliver your letters, however, when you have a parcel being delivered not letters, it never arrives on time, the time slots are too long as well, and when they stick a note via your door they don't tell you what neighbour they left it with and the item reference on the last two were incorrect. I have heard they use agencies workers to deliver parcels. They clearly need more training. Lastly trying to get hold of anyone to speak to is like trying to speak to Pope.
Absolutely rubbish system with redelivery.
Firstly I was waiting 6 hours for delivery and was informed that it happen in the middle of wait - no red card left, nobody knocked the door.
Automatic delivery next day - useless - I am not at home next day
Booked online redelivery to local post office - (received confirmation email), but tracking website have no track of it at all, and post office keeps redelivering to my home.
When called helpline I was assured it will be redelivered according to my online booking which did not happen. Who to trust? Online system not working, live human giving false information.
PBIS9649932001 i received a text saying delivery was attempted and no one was home and a card was left and this would be needed to be collected from a local post office. This is not true no delivery was attempted, i have cctv to prove, my road is totally clear (no snow) so when will this actually be delivered?
This is about over 50s life cover....
Stay away go somewhere else. Example for you. You need to pay until 95 that is 540 months, let's us £25 a month... easy calculation 540 x 25 £13500. Yet your benefit amount will be.......£4403. So please stay away. Also at anytime if you cancel sorry no refund... shocking!
Please avoid Long lane POST OFFICE Chester they have lost 5 packages over Christmas I can only imagine they didn’t give it to Royal Mail to deliver as it only gives the deposit date with no other information given. I have stopped using this post office.investigators needed…..
The postman attempted to deliver my parcel unsuccessfully twice and then asked for me to decide what to do with redelivery. As I knew I would be off on a Saturday, I requested the parcel be left at the post office for collection. On my arrival, I was told that their machine was broken and an engineer was fixing it and to come back later. I asked why I couldn’t leave the calling card and take my parcel and then make a note of it and was told “It has to be scanned”. I went back again 4 hours later and a sign said “Post Office not working” and was told there was no timescale for a fix. Again I asked why I couldn’t take my parcel and leave the proof I had that it was mine. Surely there should be a policy in place or standard operating procedure in place to give out parcels when technology isn’t working? What did you used to do before scanners and technology?!? It’s just ridiculous that I can’t have my parcel which I’ve been waiting all week for and will now roll into next week. It was a present for Christmas, so it’s hardly time critical anymore but it’s frustrating none the less.
Used the post office for the first time as I am new to the area, and I am appalled by the way I was treated and spoken to by Helen, who refused to answer or make eye contact when I politely asked about posting a package. Onlookers seemed equally shocked and disgusted by her manner. I work in customer service myself and this behaviour would never be tolerated under any circumstances. How dare they put signs up warning customers that ‘abuse of staff will not be tolerated’ when it doesn’t work both ways. Thankfully this is my only hostile experience in Hereford to date.
Cambridge Road PO Grimsby Avoid
After closing the proper Post Office and relocating inside a one stop it’s been horrendous ! 6 weeks of training and still the staff ( one stop colleagues) don’t know what to do ( not their fault) it’s never open and when it is it’s not serviced correctly . Up until December there were poor pensioners unable to get their money . Parcels unable to be collected or sent . Even after some intervention 1/2 the staff don’t know if it’s open or shut or what they are doing
Bring back the proper post office please
Even now Jan 25 it’s hit and Miss if it’s actually open
Why can't the post office produce à stamp for letters to Europe? and stock low value stamp given that they don't.
I just had to put 2 x 2nd class stamps and 13 x 1p stamp on a Xmas card to Paris - some on the back of the envelope!
Bletchley Post Office: terrible service and queues. Gossipy old woman on the shop counter, who lets people queue jump and only accepts cash. Really unprofessional. I use Evri wherever possible now to avoid going here.
