Review summary
Postoffice has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Parcel returned from Royal mail. Post office staff did not know why although they had completed the CN22 and I signed it. The parcel came back after 7 weeks with a CN15(b) form on the returned parcel. After 15 minutes, they sent me off with a contact number that could not help. Poor service. Visit an alternative post office if you want your post to be delivered.
My local Postman is great BUT when it comes to parcels they do not come any where near the time that they are due such as 9:30 11:45. It it ALWAYS well into the afternoon.
This makes it impossible to plan. I have commitments which I am willing to work around but NOT the WHOLE DAY.
If you say you will deliver between these time THEN YOU SHOULD.
On top of that it's the same guy - who's not too friendly - it's like you have disturbed him by having a parcel delivered.
Possibly the worst delivery company in the UK.
The regular guys are great who deliver your letters, however, when you have a parcel being delivered not letters, it never arrives on time, the time slots are too long as well, and when they stick a note via your door they don't tell you what neighbour they left it with and the item reference on the last two were incorrect. I have heard they use agencies workers to deliver parcels. They clearly need more training. Lastly trying to get hold of anyone to speak to is like trying to speak to Pope.
Review for Longmeadow post office, Stevenage.
Please give the person who serves customers some customer service training.
Rude - chatting to her friend, leaving customers waiting, then unhelpful and when I tried to point out the opening times were wrong on the website, and she should care, said everything was down to the Postmaster, she just works there! Unbelievable. Will not be going back there. ☹️😒😒🤓😎🙂↕️
The clerk was extremely unhelpful. I wanted to pay amount of money which included paying in bills and two pounds in coins. He didn’t took the two ponds, refused to exchange five pounds in coins into a bill too. While counting coins might save money, in the particular case of counting £2 ponds in coins I doubt that would have been the case. This should be a policy for businesses and not for private customers. If demanded, the clerk should explain the policy to the customers and not refusing to do it. It is I think a particular case to refuse to take £2 in coins and to be so rude in addition to. Do not recommend using St Mary’s Street, Edinburgh post office branch because the staff was outright unhelpful and rude.
Dovecot Post Office, Liverpool. Staff are incredibly rude. I've made a formal complaint over a staff member for swearing and yelling at my husband infront of 10 people. Over a parcel being 100g over weight. No help was offered to amend the postage, just sent him away to print another ourselves. Unfortunately Post Office customers don't have mail weighing scales at home. Your staff need to learn to do some work.
Lanivet Post Office. AVOID!!! Went to post 2x large letters. Diane Richards was behind the counter and huffed and puffed, rolled her eyes and laughed sarcastically when I tried to explain the letters needed to be sent and that I'm also paying for envelopes inside each, to be returned to me with the documents inside the main envelopes. She is extremely rude and unprofessional! The Indian gentleman waiting inside at the same counter to post a letter, also looked at me in horror at her unprofessional behaviour! When I asked her if she was now ready for me after dealing with the posman. She upped her attitude toward me and said she refuses to serve me and called the postmaster. He was playing with my 3 year old through the window, myself and the ladies behind me were all laughing. Then all of a sudden when his rude staff member called him, he said my son was scratching his windows all morning and that he was trying to get him to stop. I was only there for 30 minutes max and my son didn't touch the window. He was driving his toy car on the windowsil and on the ground with his sister. An absolutely dreadful way of treating PAYING customers. I feel she deliberately discriminated against me because of my accent. I phoned in when I got home, to see if they had CCTV as I am laying a formal complaint and Diane Richards whom answered, hang up on me. Again absolutely unprofessional, zero decorum and NO customer service etiquette at all.
The worst post office ever the staff are absolutely rude. After the man argued with me I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me and called someone else to the desk.
Post office broomton road Glasgow the post master fails to open shop and closes before times advertised the post master is a nasty wee man the post office should be removed from shop and moved elsewhere as advertised hours 9am till 5pm shop can be closed by 1pm what a joke for small business in area trying to get money into account close the post office
Sent a parcel track 24, 3 days later and may arrived today, even though same message was sent to me yesterday sayingwoukd arriveyesterday. What a Con advertised a service and have no intentions in honouring it. The postal service as bad as it has ever been.
Filled in the online form to notify PO Savings (BoI) about a death and requested historical account interest statements for on of the probate forms.
Had an email response saying no activate accounts, this ISN'T what I asked!
Replied to the email address which is just the general ukbereavementunit, and I received an out of office reply from an Ian, stating on holiday until 24th February, REALLY?
Only one person working the bereavement email address for the whole of the Bank of Ireland?
Oh lordy I will never use the post office again for anything of any importance. Stupidly sent a photo via the post office instead of using Royal Mail (which I have always found reliable and tend to use their home collection service) and now the photo is sitting at Exeter... doing nothing even though I paid for 24 hours. Now I'm worried. £5 to sit and worry. Tracked 24 may be 24 days ... Weeks ... Years, who knows.
Well I have to give it 1 star just to write my review but if there was another option it would get none or minus stars as a nod to the comedy theme of the shop...Dont be fooled this shop is not what you think it is as it's actually a joke shop in disguise! The first thing you notice is the lack of stock that's quite quizzical. You then can't help but notice too,all the signage that's going on to make a mockery of you not to mention let the customer know there worth.Do you queue at the first til or the second?Shop sense tells you to head for the closest but depending on how helpful the first cashier feels you can sometimes be told to head for the second til at the back of the shop.However..you can do this only to be redirected back to the first til by the miserable old cashier at the back who plays her role really well. But just when you think you know where your at there's sometimes a catch thrown into the mix..the big shout from the miserable 1 at the back who can sometimes shout you back to her til at the rear of the shop that previous experience tells you that she really can't be bothered to serve you,but once you do this walk of shame your instincts were right she doesn't.Condescending monotone response to your questions, a dead pan face and a complete lack of interest in helping you in any way leaves you feeling very confused about what type of shop your in,what your actually there for,are you at the right til after all,and is it me or is it you who's not making sense or being rude in asking such questions that require you fulfilling your shopping needs???All in all a comedic head messer that's has you leaving the shop questioning the ins and outs of what should of been a complete straight forward customer/cashier shopping experience it's brilliant.Big shout out to the miserable old woman on til 2 for playing her part so we'll as the most unhelpfully, condescending shop keeper you will ever meet..amazing,5 stars but more if I could...oh and quick tip if you havnt experienced enough comedy for 1 visit either walk back into the shop straight away to hear cashiers slagging you off, or have someone in the queue that you know who can fill you in next time they see you as to how much you were getting slagged off after you left...brilliant!!
