Parcel returned from Royal mail

Parcel returned from Royal mail. Post office staff did not know why although they had completed the CN22 and I signed it. The parcel came back after 7 weeks with a CN15(b) form on the returned parcel. After 15 minutes, they sent me off with a contact number that could not help. Poor service. Visit an alternative post office if you want your post to be delivered.

My local Postman is great BUT when it…

My local Postman is great BUT when it comes to parcels they do not come any where near the time that they are due such as 9:30 11:45. It it ALWAYS well into the afternoon. This makes it impossible to plan. I have commitments which I am willing to work around but NOT the WHOLE DAY. If you say you will deliver between these time THEN YOU SHOULD. On top of that it's the same guy - who's not too friendly - it's like you have disturbed him by having a parcel delivered.

Long Ashton Post Office, Bristol

Long Ashton Post Office is an incredible business. Always have anwers, always helpful, polite and they get the job done for you!

Possibly the worst delivery company in…

Possibly the worst delivery company in the UK. The regular guys are great who deliver your letters, however, when you have a parcel being delivered not letters, it never arrives on time, the time slots are too long as well, and when they stick a note via your door they don't tell you what neighbour they left it with and the item reference on the last two were incorrect. I have heard they use agencies workers to deliver parcels. They clearly need more training. Lastly trying to get hold of anyone to speak to is like trying to speak to Pope.

I renewed my passport at Quedgeley Post Office. I was served by Dawn who was an absolute legend, she helped me with the whole process with a smile, very polite and it only took about 25 minutes. Brilliant service and highly recommended. Thank you Dawn.

9 times out of 10 i get a great service…

9 times out of 10 i get a great service from the Post Office. Now, i don't know if it is the actual shop that has caused this issue or Royal Mail. Last Thursday (a week ago) I posted my passport and included some other documents with it as i'm changing my name. I sent it 1st class signed for as suggested. I have my receipt and reference number. I have been checking everyday but it hasn't even been attempted to be delivered. I am presuming it has been lost. If so then i'm not happy as there were other very important documents with sensitive information on.

THE REVIEWS on this site, are joke, and should be removed!

THE REVIEWS on this site, just go to show people do not READ nor do they LISTEN! POST OFFICE are NOT ROYAL MAIL nor PARCLEFORCE, EVRI OR DPD. Post office are a retail store, they sell services for others! They do not actually deliver nor track other companies services, that would be the carriers responsibility, for the services you paid for! Majority of these bad reviews are not for post office counters at all, it’s no wonder staff are “ miserable, rude and fed up etc” imagine dealing with this on a daily basis. Our local branch’s are fabulous, yes the staff have bad days, and you may queue, the amount of services they sell and deal with each day, but they do their best. Some customers, come in with a shipping order and clerks can only go as fast as the systems. Staff also have back office things to deal with, they are not pretending to be busy, there are things that cannot be dealt with after closing, ie dealing with postman, making sure your mail goes off at each collection. I find the reviews on this site appalling, yet most are not post office related, sub postmasters have suffered enough lately, people wanting to boycott post offices because of the issues sensationalised in the media. All at the cost to the businesses of the sub postmasters and their staff, the same ones you claim to be offended for and defending, by putting others sub offices livelihoods on the line. Bravo to all the post office staff doing a good job in difficult times, keep it up. Some of us appreciate you. And to the reviewers on this site, i’d like to hope some of you have learnt a thing or two and possible feel a bit daft to say the least. But I know you won’t, because as said you don’t listen nor read, even when people try to help you!

Terrible,

Terrible, What is this company up to?. Had a parcel delivered completely wet through packaging damaged. Put in a plastic bag with an appology and a telephone number to ring if item was damaged, the number given was a chargeable one so I couldn't use my mobile Hello! You Damaged it why should I pay extra to call you. THE SOONER THEY CLOSE THE ROYAL MAIL THE BETTER.

Sends you broken QR codes and then takes 5+ days to refund

When trying to order international postage, if the address is considered "wrong" in any way it will take your payment, in my case over £50, then send you a QR code. Which doesn't contain a QR code, just an error message telling you to contact the customer service team. They'll tell you the address was one letter wrong or some such rubbish, refund the payment (which will take 5 days). Tell you how to write it properly, send you on your way, you do it again, same again, busted QR code and another £50 gone from the account. "Sorry, we can refund you to an imaginary PostOffice wallet". No thanks. 0 stars. Will never use this terrible website every again.

I had Terrible Experience – Children’s Artwork Returned Due to Staff Mistake! a deeply disappointing experience…

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Royal Mail, which not only caused me financial loss but also left several children heartbroken. I sent a parcel containing children’s artwork for an art competition in France. At the Post Office, I clearly stated that the package had no commercial value. Despite this, the staff member arbitrarily assigned a value to it, which led to the parcel being returned. As a result, the children’s artwork never reached its destination, causing great disappointment and embarrassment. I now have to explain to these young artists why their hard work and creativity were disregarded due to an avoidable mistake. I reached out to Royal Mail to file a complaint, and while they asked what resolution I expected, this situation should never have happened in the first place. A formal apology and a full refund are the least they can offer. Moreover, Royal Mail needs to ensure that their staff are properly trained to handle non-commercial items like this with more care. If you’re sending something important, especially something sentimental, think twice before using Royal Mail. A careless mistake like this can cause unnecessary stress and disappointment.

Unpleasant surly asocial reception by counter staff member

Post Office, Newland Avenue, Hull. I went in to post a parcel. The man behind the screen did not say "hello" or "good morning, how can I help you?". He just looked at me blankly. In fact, he looked straight through me as if I was not there. I greeted him and asked him in very clear English to send it by first class post. He looked at me oddly, shrugged his shoulders and said he did not understand what I was saying. So I had to repeat myself. Again in very clear modern English. His manner was surly and a 'couldn't care less' attitude. He did not even give me a receipt. Although I did not ask for one. He took the parcel, licked a stamp and stuck it on the parcel. He just gawped at me with a disingenuous smirk through the window screen. No "Thank you" or "Have a good day". He possessed none of the usual social graces and propriety which we expect from post office counter people. Just poor service. Looks like the same guy in Aaron Micheals' picture in his post on Google Reviews. It is awful for any customer to get a surly, asocial reception. Unpleasant. OK. I will not use it again. Boycotted.
