Review summary
Postoffice has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Parcel returned from Royal mail. Post office staff did not know why although they had completed the CN22 and I signed it. The parcel came back after 7 weeks with a CN15(b) form on the returned parcel. After 15 minutes, they sent me off with a contact number that could not help. Poor service. Visit an alternative post office if you want your post to be delivered.
My local Postman is great BUT when it comes to parcels they do not come any where near the time that they are due such as 9:30 11:45. It it ALWAYS well into the afternoon.
This makes it impossible to plan. I have commitments which I am willing to work around but NOT the WHOLE DAY.
If you say you will deliver between these time THEN YOU SHOULD.
On top of that it's the same guy - who's not too friendly - it's like you have disturbed him by having a parcel delivered.
Possibly the worst delivery company in the UK.
The regular guys are great who deliver your letters, however, when you have a parcel being delivered not letters, it never arrives on time, the time slots are too long as well, and when they stick a note via your door they don't tell you what neighbour they left it with and the item reference on the last two were incorrect. I have heard they use agencies workers to deliver parcels. They clearly need more training. Lastly trying to get hold of anyone to speak to is like trying to speak to Pope.
I simply wanted to know if my nearest branch deals with Car Tax. The PO website lists just the same basic sevices for every branch. Selecting 'Vehicle Tax' from the list of possible services just takes you back to the page with the basics. I tried phoning the branch to enquire: but, predictably, no-one answered.
Tried to ship an item to an ebay buyer; printed the label ebay recommended, but on going to the local Frimley Green Post Office was told the postage paid would not cover the delivery. Refused to allow me to add more postage, and would then not provide a refund on the already paid fee, which I would then have used to buy more postage cover! Going to use a different shipper now, and will avoid giving the PO any trade in the future - bl**dy arrogant Victorian company; how do they survive in the modern world?

Went to return an item using post office service and decided to buy euros for an upcoming trip. I thought a well known, seemingly trusted brand would have somewhat competitive rates. They don't. I paid just short off £20 more for €250 than I would have at Tesco.
Made the mistake of opening a savings account.
The rate seemed good as advertised on Money Saving Expert. Trying to use the website on mobile (there's no app) was horrendous. Took many hours for a £10 transfer to arrive. Decided to just close the account, only to find that I can't close it for 8 days!!! What has happened to this once respected brand. Truly appalling.
Someone stole a leather jacket that I sent my cousin. They promised a refund but I live in the United States and won't respond to me now. I've sent numerous emails and nothing. My cousin who lives in the UK tried and was told no that I had to do it. Again I live in the USA. The file number is CAS-3720188.

It’s not worth the paper it’s printed on, total lack of empathy even with a 5 page police report. Avoid at all costs
139 Queens Crescent, Post Office, Terrible !!!Avoid at all costs
I arrived at the post office at 9:30 AM, expecting it to be open (since it’s supposed to open at 8:30 AM). To my surprise, it was still closed, with no sign explaining why. There was no information posted on the door to let customers know what was going on.
The postmaster was behind the counter, so I’m not sure why the office was closed. There were about 10 people waiting in line, and by around 10:00 AM, we knocked on the door to ask what was happening. After waiting for 30 minutes, we just wanted some answers. The postmaster came to the door and told us it would be "just 2 more minutes." Everyone was relieved, as we all have busy lives. The website also confirmed the post office was open.
But then, we waited another 20 minutes! People started leaving in frustration. After the postmaster promised two minutes, it was still another 20 minutes before the office finally opened at 10:20 AM, making it a 55-minute wait just to send a parcel.
This isn’t the first time this has happened. Just the week before, I had a similar experience and left a negative review online, pointing out the terrible timekeeping of this post office.
A simple solution could have prevented all of this—a sign on the door to inform customers about the delay would have been enough. It’s such a basic thing to do, yet it wasn’t done. This lack of communication is unacceptable, and the poor service continues to be frustrating.
I’ll be leaving reviews online everywhere about this branch, as that feels more effective than directly complaining to the Post Office. This is a very disappointing experience, and I hope the new postmaster can learn from these mistakes.
