Review summary
Postoffice has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Parcel returned from Royal mail. Post office staff did not know why although they had completed the CN22 and I signed it. The parcel came back after 7 weeks with a CN15(b) form on the returned parcel. After 15 minutes, they sent me off with a contact number that could not help. Poor service. Visit an alternative post office if you want your post to be delivered.
My local Postman is great BUT when it comes to parcels they do not come any where near the time that they are due such as 9:30 11:45. It it ALWAYS well into the afternoon.
This makes it impossible to plan. I have commitments which I am willing to work around but NOT the WHOLE DAY.
If you say you will deliver between these time THEN YOU SHOULD.
On top of that it's the same guy - who's not too friendly - it's like you have disturbed him by having a parcel delivered.
Possibly the worst delivery company in the UK.
The regular guys are great who deliver your letters, however, when you have a parcel being delivered not letters, it never arrives on time, the time slots are too long as well, and when they stick a note via your door they don't tell you what neighbour they left it with and the item reference on the last two were incorrect. I have heard they use agencies workers to deliver parcels. They clearly need more training. Lastly trying to get hold of anyone to speak to is like trying to speak to Pope.
I used this service for years. Staff was always polite and i have always spoke respectful back. early last year, their building had smoke coming from the ceiling, and this young asian comes out and says your not allowed to record here, I replied im on a public footway and are allowed to record.. He walked off and i walked off recording.
Just over a year later, Im still using Walsall post office to post my items. Once you have paid you need one of the staff to scan their badge. So i called a short asain lady there and she comes over 5 mins later, I asked her if there will be another staff member who waits here like one who did previously. She replied "No" in a abrupt manner, I replied "well thats a shame because ive ended up waiting long a few times. She replied "Well you cant have everything can you" and walked off. I said "excuse me please dont talk to me like that" i asked for her name, she refused. I asked to speak to the manager and was pointed to at back. I wait in line for another 5-10minutes. I finally get to speak to the manager who was serving. I told her the issue with the staff and she replied "i'm sorry to hear that, I will be sure to escalate it further with the post office" i walk off.
Then 2 days later. I return to post an item, Machines was switched on, So i cued up for 5mins, and i was coming to the front of the line, She looks at me and then gets up and goes in the back. A few mins later she comes and i go up. Before i could say hi, She said sorry your banned from here. I was in total shock and disbelief how on earth would this be possible. I thought it was due to the complaint i made, but she said "I just got off the call to the owner and hes said he checked the CCTV and banned you in the previous store.
I was totally shocked and clearly remember that he did not ban me. I still have the footage to show we both walked away. So Im speaking to the manager and i ask when the owner will be in next so i can sort this with him. She said monday i said thats fine.
I have a 14 minute video of me speaking with the owner and clearly anyone is able to see, how badly he has lied and by turning the manager and other staff to lie against me.. The manager actually says on recording "I was being threatening, because i said "I will sort it" There is so many mistakes they have made, including the owner getting aggressive and clearly says, Im banned because "He just doesnt want me there" How is the owner exactly allowed to discriminate against me like this, and POST OFFICE take no action to what clearly shows a corrupt system, that is exposed liars. I will add the youtube link for anyone to see what type of people are running in the middle of our town. Also notice the minor working there who says "hes recording" then later is recording herself. Always comes outside soon as i do smoking at the front door and waving at me.
I cannot believe i have lived here for over 40 years and ive been treated and made out to be an aggressor when i have spoke with nothing but facts. I wont ever forget how you all stuck together to lie against me,, all them years of seeing you liars most days of the week. Not only the staff but the POST OFFICE management too. The footage is key, those who have sense can read how badly the owner of WALSALL POST OFFICE LIED! bridge street unit 1. SHAME!
YOUTUBE > WALSALL POST OFFICE LIAR!
Please view this and read his body language aswell as the self caught lies, they have portrayed!
Attending the post office at the Bailfate in Lincoln shortly after 10am today 26/4/25 we encountered a rude , hostile aggressive assistant who did not want to assist us at all . I would go as far to say she was abusive . Not just towards us but another customer as well . She accused him of stealing a pen and an envelope. Royal Mail should rethink this woman being the face of their branch . The woman the week before 19/4/25 was so lovely and helpful we went back this week . What a contrast in attitude and service .
Stolen parcel.
£600 of rear shock absorbers. A picture of the parcel being delivered was provided but no delivery. Contacted the Post Office who told me immediately that they could see it was a non compliant delivery. After nearly 3 weeks of ignored calls/emails and some 6 days after their own deadline to respond to me, I got standardised email to say they are only willing to refund £50 even though I have sent all PayPal and posit office receipts detailing/proving the item stolen by their staff and costs involved. I’ll be taking the post office and DPD to small claims court
Trying to get a small transfer from a post office isa to my current account. They said they couldn't verify my current account so I sent off the requested paperwork to verify it and was told it would take 2 or 3 days once they received it. Two weeks later, was told by another customer service person it could take 3 weeks because April is always busy with the end of the tax year. After 3 weeks rang to be told by a very helpful lady - Zoe - that it could take 4 weeks. This seems like such an antiquated process. I've had the same high street bank account for 53 years, how it can take 4 weeks and the necessity of sending off paper copies of bank statements to verify that it's legit is astonishing - and although I can see that April is busy because of the end of the tax year, surely they know that April comes round with absolute certainty every year and could plan their staffing accordingly. When I was clearly exasperated by this Zoe told me that she could sort it out that day via a secure email link, which she did and my account was verified within 10 minutes. She was extremely helpful.
What I then found was that it would take 4 days to receive this very modest amount of money into my current account. 4 days! I could have drawn the money in cash and walked it round to my bank in 10 minutes. Usual justification about guarding against money laundering but they're transferring it from an account that they've held for me for a year to an account that they've spent 4 weeks verifying, hard to see how money laundering could have been involved. It's also really hard to avoid the thought that it's so they can keep the cash in their own account earning interest for a couple of days and once my small sum of money is multiplied up by thousands of customers, I can see that it becomes a decent income stream.
Post Office delivery person accessed our boiler room without permission (although we accept they meant well), failed to latch the door securely on a day with high winds and severe weather warning. Result - broken door and a significant repair bill. Post Office failed to accept responsibility. Disgusted.
Special Delivery Service Failure
£8.75 was paid to use P.O. Special Delivery Service. The letter was returned with a notice the address was incomplete. Post Code, City, Stree Name and Number given. Having never been there I used Google Maps to see what was shown. It was the Fitness Gym that the letter was addressed to. Attempted to phone but was told it was a 20 minute wait. A lazy and ineffective service
I was today at one Post Office and I saw "€ we buy - 1.13 and we sell - 1.11". I wanted to buy €200 and he told me the rate is 1.05 (not 1.11). I wanted to challenge him, but there were too many people inside.
Always calculate before buying or selling. Don't rely on Post Office, another (diabolical) agenda 2030 compliant
I’m running out of some stuffs and I paid extra for the post office to deliver my items! Last minute telling me that they can’t deliver on time 🤬 and will be in 4 freaking days 🙄🙄!!
So Standing In The queue of 12 people, if you average for each person takes 5 minutes plus to get served, that is an awful big wait ... Can the post office address this problem at Staffords main post office... :-( ...
