It was just a lovely cruise

It was just a lovely cruise. There was everything we wanted and being very much older, plenty of time to relax if needed. The staff are amazing, respectful and welcoming. The Baltic cities are wonderful sights and the talks by Dave Wright were inspirational and riveting. We went to every one. Loved every minute

Britannia 10th anniverary cruise

Have recently returned from PO Britannia 10 anniversary cruise of the British Isles which we had been really looking forward to as it was visiting places we haven't been to before, although disappointed they cancelled our trip to Edinburgh. The cruise got off to a bad start for us it took nearly two hours from dropping our luggage off to actually get on to the ship (usually takes 20-30 mins) so was not happy it was exhausting and would have put of off if it was our first cruise. Luckily it all improved from then on and we had a fantastic and relaxing cruise. Food excellent and staff very friendly in particular Akrita and Stanley from the Meridan restaurant and Jenson our cabin steward. Britannia certainly pulled the stops out with the entertainment this cruise it was spectacular on deck and in theatre, you had to queue early to get a seat in theatre even though they did 3 shows a night it was full half an hour before show started. We did three shore excursions with PO and all where very good with knowledgeable guides on the coaches and the shuttle bus in other places was well organised. Sort the boarding out and back too 5 stars next time.

Mediterranean cruise on Azura

I just came back home from a lovely week on board the Azura, visiting Taranto, Corfu, Cephalonia and Catania. It was a fantastic experience and I really enjoyed it - very polite and friendly crew, brilliant shows at the theatre, excellent food and beautiful views. I hope to cruise on the Azura again.

First ever cruise to norwegian fjords…

First ever cruise to norwegian fjords on iona...ship was beautiful, embarkation was extremely quick and the staff were very helpful. Cabin spotless and loved my balcony. Not going to lie but the cruise was a means to get to the fjords without me having to plan every aspect and as carer for my dying dad i needed a holiday that basically lifted and laid me and it certainly met that detail. I liked the fact that i could explore myself and we got.loads of time in each port to wander. Would i do another cruise? I honestly don't know but my p&o experience did go a long way in my decision to not fully discount it in future. Ps they have now fully converted me to maitai cocktails so thank you.

Cruising with P&O on Iona to Norway was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend P&O cruises.

This was my first ever cruise and I would highly recommend P&O. The bathroom and balcony cabin were spacious with more than enough wardrobe and storage space. The cabin also included a seating area. The quality of the food at all the restaurants was brilliant and the variery of gluten free meals on offer even without preordering was excellent. The cleansliness on board was very good despite it being very busy and the largest ship in the fleet. My group spent most of our time exploring Norway on sightseeing trips so did not have time to attend much of the entertainment or many of the facilities on board as there was so much on offer. On two of the evenings we went to the specialist restaurants and thought the small extra cost was certainly worth it considering the quality and presentation of the food. I found my experience on the cruise such great value for money considering what was inxluded and everything that was available.

Our cruise was a joy from beginning to end. We enjoyed every single excursion we went on and learned a lot from the knowledgeable tour guides and staff at the historic Avaldsnes and Viking village. The particular highlight of that day was the singing in St. Olaf's Church.

P & O Cruises never fail to deliver.

You could say that we are now classed as cruise fanatics, this being our seventh cruise and all with P & O Cruises. Each one has provided us with amazing memories and we have always been treated like royalty by all the crew members, they are a delight to travel with. Some would say you can't give a true comparison without trying other cruise lines first, but why would we do that, when we are treated so well by P & O Cruises? We've wanted to visit Iceland for quite a while, so as soon as we booked we couldn't wait for the date to come around. First port of call was Belfast, a beautiful city with so much to offer and a chance to finally visit the Titanic Museum, well worth the wait, with a walkthrough of the White Star tender Normandie. Iceland didn't fail with all it's stunning natural beauty and we were so lucky with the weather, bonus. Reykjavik was lovely, but the further north we went the scenery was stunning, we were fortunate to see orca from Arcadia as well as video footage and in all fairness the bridge would make announcements if they spotted any wildlife or something of interest. Next on to the Norwegian leg of the voyage and despite two previous visits to Norway with P & O Cruises, we hadn't been so high up northern Norway before so the port visits were also memory making moments, taking in all the wonderful scenery and way of life. I would like to extend our sincere thanks to our cabin steward, Francis (Canada Deck 6 Cabins C171 & C175) and our two restaurant waiters, Angelo and Jerrick (Table 21, Meridian Restaurant), they were all incredible and a pleasure to be with throughout the cruise. That said, all the crew throughout the ship were exceptional, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, a reason we like travelling with P & O Cruises. We are already planning for next year's voyage, possibly to the Mediterranean again, but maybe some new locations we haven't yet visited.

Azura cruise

Really wish I wasn’t writing this and we have given ample opportunity for things to be made right. We picked an inside suite not wanting to spend quite as much time in it but more time exploring. The first week was great, all the places we visited were lovely we really explored the different locations. When we were on the ship we avoided the upstairs buffet area as there were lots of flies hoovering around the food. We had to request and remind reception a couple of times for prepaid robes and conditioner which were not in our room. The food in the main restaurants was fine but by no means gourmet we heard others complain and I did send back food twice myself. Serval times we had to ask for clean silverware and new cups due to being unclean and bad smells which will be from dishwashers. This aside first week was lovely. Entertainment was mostly good. Benjamin Ross was the best, Jo little appeals to the older generation and the two staff from creative waves were lovely. Some of the tributes singing acts weren’t good at all. Second week was a complete nightmare. We got new neighbours, we asked reception twice to move I begged a night manager, I even contacted them on their Facebook page who told me they could only deal with the complaint when we were home which they havnt dealt with at all. I’ve emailed the CEO to escalate the complaint. I wish on board I’d kicked off on the ship, they said no other rooms were available but I highly doubt this was the case. It ruined our second week of our holiday and I’ve had to contact p&o 4 times and email the ceo for a complaint to be logged which has been on for 3 weeks with no outcome yet. The new neighbours wern’t noisy because of alcohol. They were partially deaf and had their tv on max volume which wouldn’t be bad except they fell asleep with it blaring out all hours. We had two port changes on the second week from our original itinerary and they were both disappointing and not the “quaint pretty towns” as promised. Whenever we tried to relax in our rooms we heard through our walls Donald trump with his “maybe i will, maybe i won’t” antics which is not what you want to hear on holiday at all. The air conditioning broke 4 times during our holiday. Once for the whole deck. You couldn’t get mobile signal or internet in our room. On change over days the cleaning staff made so much noise collecting bottles. I had to go out at 10pm on one night remind them the time. The captain always did a speech in the morning at around 7.30/8am which if your neighbours had you awake until 2am was frustrating to say the least. On departure day you were expected out of your room at 8am even on a 7pm flight. I don’t know why they don’t stagger the departures in accordance to guest leaving and arrival. We asked to be moved during our second week ample enough times and if we had been moved this trip would have been so much better. The lack of sleep really dampened our second week. When you’re on holiday you just want to unwind and relax you don’t want to know about disasters and pending doom going off in the world. I really wouldn’t recommend Azura for going around Greece. They’d cancelled two ports on us and when we got to Athens we were warned of lots of crime and made us question why we was brought here. The acropolis is covered in scaffolding. Promised unicorns and ponies. Delivered a dead horse. We had afternoon tea in the epicurean, I asked for a coffee and was brought English tea and the experience of the afternoon tea wasn’t one I’d want to repeat. I didn’t rate the quality of the food or the atmosphere. We did fine at the beach house one night and that was hats off the best restaurant on the ship. Highly recommend this. We both have allergies and staff dealt with this amazingly. Yoga was our ship steward and he made our room up beautifully each day.
