Review summary
P&O Cruises is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and quality, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
It was just a lovely cruise. There was everything we wanted and being very much older, plenty of time to relax if needed. The staff are amazing, respectful and welcoming. The Baltic cities are wonderful sights and the talks by Dave Wright were inspirational and riveting. We went to every one. Loved every minute
What a beautiful ship, staff, food, drink, rooms the whole experience was memorable, my first cruise and a fantastic experience with great and beautiful locations visited in Norway.
Have recently returned from PO Britannia 10 anniversary cruise of the British Isles which we had been really looking forward to as it was visiting places we haven't been to before, although disappointed they cancelled our trip to Edinburgh. The cruise got off to a bad start for us it took nearly two hours from dropping our luggage off to actually get on to the ship (usually takes 20-30 mins) so was not happy it was exhausting and would have put of off if it was our first cruise. Luckily it all improved from then on and we had a fantastic and relaxing cruise. Food excellent and staff very friendly in particular Akrita and Stanley from the Meridan restaurant and Jenson our cabin steward. Britannia certainly pulled the stops out with the entertainment this cruise it was spectacular on deck and in theatre, you had to queue early to get a seat in theatre even though they did 3 shows a night it was full half an hour before show started. We did three shore excursions with PO and all where very good with knowledgeable guides on the coaches and the shuttle bus in other places was well organised. Sort the boarding out and back too 5 stars next time.
We have just sailed with Arcadia to…Iceland and Norway
We have just sailed with Arcadia to Iceland and Norway. There was no negativity on this cruise. The food was amazing the crew and staff were amazing. It’s an old but beautiful ship. I am on on her again next year
The worst holiday I have had the misfortune to go on. Service appalling.
Would never travel with P&O again.
update the link you gave doesnt work and i have already contacted customer services but you have not replied ---- more poor service
Just back from a cruise to Belfast, Iceland and Norway on Arcadia, It was amazing destinations one mind blowing Arcadia is an adults only ship and is looking tired but still comfortable and still does what it says on the tin would recommend 100%
I have just come back from my first cruise to the Norwegian Fjords on the Iona. The ship is fantastic, clean and caters for all ages. I had a cabin with a balcony and I was so glad I did, not only to be able to sit out and have my own space but to see the views when entering the ports etc. The cabin was kept spotlessly clean every day.
The crew work so hard and are always polite, helpful and professional.
Entertainment was good but you have to book early as a lot of venues get sold out. The same with the restaurants and with excursions.
However you can book excursions externally when you get off the ship at the ports. As it was my first cruise, I did book with P& O for the excursions. The excursions were good, but one did not give much time to actually spend enjoying the views, and we didn't get our coffee and cake that was included due to time restraints and business of the area.
Would I cruise with P&O again, yes definitely .
Just back from the Norwegian fjords on Iona. What can I say….the whole experience was fantastic. It was out first time on a cruise, was a little nervous prior to going, but soon felt safe & enjoyed every minute.
Cannot praise the wonderful staff enough, excellent choice & standard of food, fabulous entertainment. A lovely balcony cabin, so clean & comfortable thanks to our cabin steward Agus. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
Embarking & disembarking was so well organised & efficient.
Thank you P&O for such a relaxing holiday. Your staff are a credit to you!
Just back from a terrific trip on the Arcadia, visiting Iceland and Norway. We enjoyed everything - the crew work hard and always ready to help. We enjoyed the adults only experience and found lots of friendly like minded people to chat to. The destinations and tours were great, food excellent and we very much enjoyed the entertainment. Was sorry to leave!
Iceland and Norway on Arcadia
Iceland dramatic, Norway stunning and calmer
P&O the perfect way to visit both these destinations, memorable moments for sure
Team on board work hard , they want you to enjoy the experience from start to finish
P & O Arcadia - 16 night Iceland and Norway June/July 25
We have just returned today from a 16 night cruise on Arcadia to Iceland and Norway. The ship is adult only and smaller than the other ships, this makes her easy to get around without getting lost. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, always a different selection of dishes available in the buffet or MDR and hot chocolate every night at 22:30! We covered a lot of Iceland and did all of our own trips as the ships trips were very expensive but this is due to Iceland being an expensive country - £10 - packet of crisps! We also went to two ports in Norway, the Fjords are so beautiful and the weather was very warm throughout our cruise. we would recommend cruising to Iceland as you get to see so much more of the country without having to drive anywhere.
We are returning to Norway in October on another P&O cruise on Aurora and we are even more excited for our holiday now!
The ship was clean and tidy, neither of us were ill, the beds was super comfortable and dark as we had an inside cabin, this was useful as it did not get dark outside due to the sun not setting.
Top tip do your homework on trips to save a fortune and join the cruise FB page for lots of tips and to ask questions.
Just returned from Iceland & Norway on Arcadia - we had the best time. The ship was as beautiful as always, the staff were excellent, the food was lovely and our captain was very informative and the sunshine button worked when needed 😁
