Review summary
Paisley Freight has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Booked a collection. Was given a 2 hour expected collection time. Was in my garage getting it ready for collection. They rung my doorbell and 60 seconds later left. It takes me that to walk from my garage. After speaking to paisley freight the supervisor is rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend
I recently sent two bikes with them via their courier partner. I couldn't believe the damage that was inflicted to both bikes on separate occasions. I seen photos of the damage and I must admit it was shocking. The bikes where properly packed up in bike boxes with internal wrapping for more protection. I have sent bikes in the past with no problems until now. Both of these bikes where practically brand new as well. One of the pictures it looked like the box had been run over by a lorry? That was bad enough but what was really terrible was the lack of support and negative responses from them about trying to resolve this or indeed make a farcical claim through their so called insurance, it looked liked you had a form to fill in that asked everything from you which wasn't really all that relevant in my mind? My feeling is that this was to put you off claiming (maximum £100)? Anyway shocking service from them recently and would never use them again.
Sent a bike with them, incurred £30 charges because it was 20cm too big.
It was a small ladies bike! Completely misleading and much more expensive than other sites. Try ipostparcels.
Complete timewasters.
Paid £19 to send a car seat on Saturday morning at 8am, got confirmation but no label. I had booked collection for Monday.
Sunday comes and still no label, then on Monday morning at 9:35 am, I get an email saying driver is picking up between 10am to 6pm.
After that is when I receive my label which left me only about an hour to wrap my item ( a car seat for DS3 ).
I wrap it with 2 layers of bubble wrap, and a layer of blue car package wrap. Then about 45 minutes later driver comes and picks it up without saying anything and takes the item.
A couple of hours later I then get an email saying the seat wasn’t collected because it wasn’t packaged properly in a box.
I email using their email, and she says I have to rebook collection and re package it inside a box and pay £9.99 again to resend it.
Bare in mind this means the delivery for the buyer of the seat will be 2 days late minimum.
I ring the customer services and wait in the line and then after someone picks up they just cut me off instantly. So I had to ring again and then she says it isn’t their fault and that I have to pay £9.99 again and re book collection.
Complete waste of my time, definitely will not use this company again...
Should have just paid the £3 extra and sent via parcel2go
Can’t fault them. I asked for a large parcel to be picked up from South Wales and delivered to Carlisle. Picked up Friday and delivered before 09:30 Monday morning, and that is their basic service. I could have opted for next day! For only a few pounds more. Very happy will definitely use again in future.
TOOD me that my hard tail mountain bike was too tall and to wide
It has a dropped saddle a sloping too tube
(Intense Tazer) and thin Xc bars
So well below a average bike size!
Now they want a extra £25 - shouldn’t have picked it up and shouldn’t have
Tried to lie about the size - shame on you
Paisley bike for trying it on.
What a fantastic service! I know there are always the times it goes wrong but I didn't expect it to be delivered the next day for £40 (insured the bike for £500 to cover any issues)
Easy to use the online service, inputting details straight forward, completed they details and PayPal payment at 10pm Monday night, received a email early morning to confirm collection.
I had it boxed ready, APC picked it up at 3.30pm, it was delivered 10.30am the next day!
This was for a bike sold on eBay.
Great service after a bad experience with Parcel2Go / Hermes
I had originally booked the collection / delivery of 2 bulky items via Parcel2Go & My Hermes.
After 3 failed collections, without reason, 3 days of waiting in from 8am to 8pm, I decided to use Paisely Freight.
Although slightly more expensive, the experience was the opposite end of the spectrum from Parcel2Go.
Booking was easy, quickly confirmed and the driver (from APC) arrived mid afternoon on day of collection to collect the items.
The parcels were delivered the next day.
I have seen Paisely Freight recommended on several forums, I originally didn't use them due to the difference in price, however, it shows that price isn't everything!
Great service, quick and reliable. Recommended.
Had major issues with Yodel, took them 2 weeks to tell me they can't do the order. Went straight to these as they were recommended to me by a friend.
Ordered on Friday 7th June 7:10am, picked the parcel up at 10:25am. Delivered to myself today on 10th June at 9:45am. Could have paid a bit more for the Saturday delivery, so would have had it on the 8th June. Could not recommend them enough.
