Review summary
Paisley Freight has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Booked a collection. Was given a 2 hour expected collection time. Was in my garage getting it ready for collection. They rung my doorbell and 60 seconds later left. It takes me that to walk from my garage. After speaking to paisley freight the supervisor is rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend
I recently sent two bikes with them via their courier partner. I couldn't believe the damage that was inflicted to both bikes on separate occasions. I seen photos of the damage and I must admit it was shocking. The bikes where properly packed up in bike boxes with internal wrapping for more protection. I have sent bikes in the past with no problems until now. Both of these bikes where practically brand new as well. One of the pictures it looked like the box had been run over by a lorry? That was bad enough but what was really terrible was the lack of support and negative responses from them about trying to resolve this or indeed make a farcical claim through their so called insurance, it looked liked you had a form to fill in that asked everything from you which wasn't really all that relevant in my mind? My feeling is that this was to put you off claiming (maximum Β£100)? Anyway shocking service from them recently and would never use them again.
First time using Paisley Freight, and am very pleased....
Sent 2 tyres to separate locations, and both delivered in under 24 hours.
Will certainly use again
This is the first time I have used Paisley Freight and I have to say that I have been very impressed with the service.
I bought 4 car wheels and tyres online. They were to be collected from Glasgow and transported to London. I booked the collection late on a Monday afternoon and received my labels via email 20 minutes later.
The wheels were collected from Glasgow at 10:30 the next morning and were delivered to me at 8:30 the morning after.
The delivery driver was very friendly and insisted that I should not need to help him offload the wheels.
Really impressed
Cheers, Mark
Days of waiting and still no tandem or delivery date.
I am getting a tandem. It was meant to be collected on Monday, and delivered within two days - usually next day.
It wasn't. It was collected a day late on Tuesday with the sender having to stay home a second day. I'd taken Tuesday at home for delivery but it obviously never came. Same on Wednesday. The response from the company has been inept. Saying they can't deal with me as don't have a reference, then when I give them the reference saying they can't help as I am the recipient (which they knew). (They can apparently tell me how deliveries work but I just want to know when mine will be). They are not helping the sender who is trying to get them to tell me when it will be delivered. Another day off work and the actual delivery agent (Paisley just books them) sounded doubtful it would come today. 3 or 4 days off work. It would be so simple for them to chase this and ring me half an hour before delivery /on the day so I do not have to take days sat at home. Never again. Poor experience for sender and me. Hoping I do eventually get the missing tandem.
Found this outfit whilst searching for a courier specialising in carrying cycles. Bit more complex as I was buying the bike from a chap in Scotland and needed to get a suitable box to pack it in. Well, for a modest cost, Paisley Freight will supply the box, then return later in the day to collect. So far, so good! So, all booked for next day service, unfortunately, the box didn't arrive until after 11am (promised before 10), then they were back to collect in less than an hour, so was a real rush for the seller! Next day, about 7.15am, get an email to say delivery due between 10:15 and 12:15, so messaged home to let them know when to expect it, only to be told it had been delivered already at 7.30am!!
I know none of this is directly attributable to Paisley as they used ANC as the carrier, but could have turned out badly at both ends due to the lack of punctuality.
Overall though, a very useful, fast service that doesn't cost the earth and I'd not hesitate using these guys again in the future!
I regularly use Paisley Freight for shipping bikes, I have found them to be competitively priced with great service.
I booked a bike for collection on Thursday morning, it was collected 2 hours later and delivered to the buyer by 10.30 next morning.
Very impressive
I have used paisley freight on a few occasions for push bikes and recently push bike wheels.
Hassle free booking , pick up service prompt, always delivered next day with confirmation email sent.
