Review summary
Paisley Freight has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Booked a collection. Was given a 2 hour expected collection time. Was in my garage getting it ready for collection. They rung my doorbell and 60 seconds later left. It takes me that to walk from my garage. After speaking to paisley freight the supervisor is rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend
I recently sent two bikes with them via their courier partner. I couldn't believe the damage that was inflicted to both bikes on separate occasions. I seen photos of the damage and I must admit it was shocking. The bikes where properly packed up in bike boxes with internal wrapping for more protection. I have sent bikes in the past with no problems until now. Both of these bikes where practically brand new as well. One of the pictures it looked like the box had been run over by a lorry? That was bad enough but what was really terrible was the lack of support and negative responses from them about trying to resolve this or indeed make a farcical claim through their so called insurance, it looked liked you had a form to fill in that asked everything from you which wasn't really all that relevant in my mind? My feeling is that this was to put you off claiming (maximum £100)? Anyway shocking service from them recently and would never use them again.
AVOID! £2500 Parcel lost for over a week. Excuse after excuse.
I’ve used Paisley a few times and never had an issue but I’m absolutely disgusted by the service this time round. I appreciate they are only an agent for APC, but the entire purpose of booking through an agent is to act as the middle man for any issues and ensure deliveries run as expected.
I had a very high value (£2500) parcel collected on the 14th Feb via a next day service with APC. It is now the 22nd and it has still not been delivered. Every time I’ve spoken to Paisley via email or the buyer of item gets hold of the depot we are relayed a different excuse from APC. “Driver shortage”, “trouble finding the address” and the most concerning today “the depot have lost it”.
So now I have a £2500 parcel that’s been apparently scanned on and off vans repeatedly - no doubt taking a battering being driven round in vans all day for no reason that’s suddenly and miraculously lost. Despite being over a metre long, boxed and covered in bright white pallet wrap that’s been scanned at various points of its journey.
Every time I’ve spoke to Paisley in the last week they are apologetic but the same useless response is received. “We’re really sorry but x and y” usually followed by “we can’t get through to the depot” or “they’re delivering it tomorrow”
It’s absolutely not good enough. It’s been over a week and service from both APC and Paisley has been awful. Absolutely do not use either for high value items.
I used to be a business user with APC and have used Paisley for over a decade (not so much recently) but used to send wheels. Car parts. All sorts. They were great. I won’t ever be returning after this and will be contacting my bank to issue a charge back for not providing the agreed service as well as making an insurance claim with you (which I’m very relieved I took out) if the package is not delivered tomorrow.
Enough excuses now. I know things go wrong. But this is poor. It’s not any package. It’s thousands of pounds apparently suddenly lost. “We can’t get through to the depot” doesn’t cut it. Send someone physically to it. Ring their head office. Emailing a clearly struggling depot is not achieving anything.
I will gladly amend this review if resolved but just warning others. If you’ve used in the past. They’re not what they used to be. Avoid at all costs - in this case. The cost is About £2500
Great service. I will use it again. The only "problem" is the delivery window from 8 AM to 6 PM. You must plan to be there the whole time, and this can be difficult managing work etc.
