Matilda 3-Seater with footstool

This review is for the Matilda 3-Seater corner sofa. All started well. Quick delivery and seemed good value. Issues as follows: 1) Could not be assembled with parts supplied due to bolts for one section (attaching seats to the pairing backs) being a fraction too short. After a Sat afternoon, evening and Sunday morning I gave up, went to Wickes and completed the assembly in a few minutes. 2) Advertised as coming with two free pillows. Despite me emailing post order and ahead of delivery to say the items were not showing on my order I was assured they would be delivered together. They weren’t. I have been promised that they will come but it’s been a few working days and no confirmation they have been shipped so may have to chase up again. 3) The sofa has no dust cover material on the underside. I have never seen this on any piece of furniture and so not ideal if you have pets (we have 2 cats and so there is a high risk of damage from underneath scratching) 4) The sofa seats are very thin. It’s not an issue being lower to the ground but it is hard and uncomfortable. The seats are not cushions that sit on the base/ frame but three fabric covered seats screwed together. Hard to describe but am disappointed with the comfort element Shame as my wife wanted to by a cheaper sofa she had found from another retailer and I convinced her on spending the extra £200 as we got free pillows and this one looked more stylish. And Nordina had good reviews on Trustpilot! But, as I now realise, they text you a £10 voucher to leave a positive review before delivery and the majority of reviews are around the buying experience, not the product.

MAILS DE NORDIAHOME DEPUIS DEC / Nous nous excusons pour la réponse tardive, nos bureaux étaient fermés pendant les vacances. Malheureusement, l'arrivée de l'expédition contenant la chaise que vous avez commandée a été retardée en raison de la tempête Darragh, le navire n'a pas pu naviguer en raison de conditions dangereuses. La nouvelle date d'arrivée est le 6 janvier et espérons qu'elle ne sera pas retardée davantage. Une fois la commande récupérée de notre entrepôt, vous recevrez les informations de suivi et cela prendra 3 jours pour vous parvenir. 2EME MAIL / Nous nous excusons sincèrement pour le retard inattendu de votre commande, causé par les récentes vacances et la haute saison. Soyez assuré que nous faisons tout notre possible pour expédier vos articles dès que possible. Pour vous fournir une mise à jour, le nouveau lot d'articles devrait arriver le 22 janvier prochain. Une fois que le nouveau lot sera arrivé, nous prioriserons votre commande et nous vous enverrons les informations de suivi dès qu'elles seront disponibles. eT LES AUTRES MAILS DANS LE MEM STYLE ; Sur le site, la commande est prévue pour février 2025.

I had a bad experience with Nordina…

I had a bad experience with Nordina Home buying a standing desk. It is manually adjustable and the images and videos on the website show the height changing with relative ease and only a few movements of the crank. The reality is very different and it takes 1-2 minutes of furious winding to change the height of the desk. Is it more suitable to small adjustments to get the height just right than for actively going between seating and standing positions multiple times per day. Customer services completely disinterested and could not understand why I was not happy with this outcome or why the information on their website could be misleading. Apparently the images of the product are just illustrative and should not be taken into consideration when purchasing the desk. Nordina Home refused to take responsibility for this so I had to escalate to my credit card company. Thankfully I purchased with Amex and not debit card or I would be stuck with either a standing or a seated desk and no way out of it. Be wary of the five star reviews too. Nordina Home offers a discount after purchase for a five star review before you actually receive your product. I fell for this too, left a good review of my shopping experience (not the product!) and never even received the discount.

I really like the website and looking…

I really like the website and looking through the items, the only thing that confused me was that delivery charges were not initially obvious and that you did the Apple Pay option before finalising the order, and then did it again in another screen - where as usually it would go through payment being the last thing. But otherwise happy.

Delivery keeps being postponed and my cancellation is not confirmed. I just receive a number of messages about being contacted later by their staff - I just want a confirmation that the order is cancelled.
