I’ve been renting with Martyn Gerrard Estate Agents for two years, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Before moving in, I requested a deep clean of the flat, which was never done. Instead, I entered a property full of mould and dust, making it clear that tenant well-being is not a priority for this agency. Throughout the tenancy, the property manager changed four times, and every single one of them was rude, unhelpful, and unpleasant to deal with. They have all been unprofessional and seem solely focused on ensuring rent is paid, with no care whatsoever for tenant welfare. Within the first six months of living in the flat, I developed a serious illness due to the extremely old and dirty carpets. I repeatedly requested that they be replaced, but this was ignored for almost two years. It was only addressed earlier this year, after one property manager mentioned that the landlord had already agreed to replace the carpets long ago—but nobody had bothered to communicate this to us. In October, we were served with a Section 21 notice. I tried negotiating for an additional three months as I’m starting a new job in December, but the landlord rejected this. We managed to secure a new property and planned to move out a month early, but since then, their renewal consultant has made my life miserable. She has been disrespectful and sent nasty, threatening emails, demanding full rent payment for the final month—even though I’ve offered to surrender the tenancy on my vacate date, which aligns with their plans to sell the flat. Dealing with Martyn Gerrard has been a deeply distressing and appalling experience. Their behavior has been unprofessional, uncaring, and outright abusive. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through them to think twice—you deserve better than this.

Tyler and Oliver were absolutely fantastic in helping us secure our rental property. They were incredibly supportive and patient, answering all our questions promptly and thoroughly.
