We were given a really old, smelly, cigarette burns on seats car - we had a two year old with a dirty car seat even the guy working there said sorry this is all we have.... 3 days into trip car broke down and needed a new battery.. We did get another car with free petrol but we will NEVER hire from them again!
We had a very positive experience with JUCY at Queenstown. They were friendly, helpful and appropriate in terms of what they expected in terms of wear and tear. The car was well presented, and despite having a few Kms on the clock, performed well. Returning was easy and we got a rapid transfer to the airport from a very pleasant lady which was a very positive end to ur us of the company. We noticed many other JUCY users on our trip and can now see why they are so popular. We will certainly use them again.
Hired a wee car at an affordable price, perfect for getting around Queenstown Lakes. Really easy airport pickup up and drop off service.
Easy pick up and drop off although a closer petrol station to the Sydney drop off would have been better for filling up.
Car quality was good for the price. Did not face any issues during my five day trip. It is not locacted at a walking distance from the airport. So a first time user at Queenstown Airport, like me, may feel it's quite a distance to travel before getting the car. Recommend that expectation is set outright- it is about 3kms and requires one to catch a taxi to reach. When dropping the car, the courtesy shown was commendable. Though I was a bit outside the normal drop off time, I was given a ride back to the airport. Overall, highly recommended.

Waited a long time to return the car, counter only one staff handle. Not to mention the shuttle to airport...
Great team. Very accommodating. Our group from Australia was desperate for a green van, and when a white one was lined up for us, the man at the desk changed it for us!
I had full insurance and windscreen got broken by harsh wind and hail and acts of god not covered never again
Last winter we hired a (tired ol') van in Queenstown (with a young family) and the sliding door broke when we were in Invercargill - it wouldn't close completely. We called and were told it wasn't serious enough to get someone to help us. We drove to Milford Sound and back to Queenstown with the broken door - very noisy and cold on the highways!
It was great to see other Jucy renters waving at us when we cross paths especially during the long drive from Queenstown to Lake Tekapo and back.
Tricky service about your car can handle snow weather in the snow mountains and snow chain can be ok. But we neatly stuck there under snow day. No telling truth about South Island Queenstown
The convenient was great but the 8 seater van need better/a lot of maintenance especially it's interior.
