Left in the lurch
Last winter we hired a (tired ol') van in Queenstown (with a young family) and the sliding door broke when we were in Invercargill - it wouldn't close completely. We called and were told it wasn't serious enough to get someone to help us. We drove to Milford Sound and back to Queenstown with the broken door - very noisy and cold on the highways!
