We had the pleasure of working with Zoe McLeavy as our solicitor for our house purchase, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. I wouldn’t recommend JS Law to my friends and family. My estate agent recommended I use them and bring a first time buyer I thought it would be easiest option. I looked at reviews beforehand and saw a mixed bag so gave them the benefit of the doubt but I wish I went elsewhere. There was no chain either side, yet I had to chase everything. Even 2 weeks before my mortgage offer was due to expire I had many outstanding actions. Nothing was really explained to me, just received actions on the portal. I finally completed and exchanged on the day of my mortgage offer expired which was so unnecessarily stressful and took the excitement out of the whole process. I was in contact with my mortgage company having to get my offer extended as a back up as I couldn’t trust everything would be completed in time.

The whole sale process went smoothly and without any fuss. Using the online app which sent text notifications when there was an update or request for information was really useful as it meant we were kept informed of progress and didnt need to keep checking.

Big thanks to Laura who made buying our first house a far less daunting task than we had anticipated. She communicated well and explained the process as we went through right up till completion. The eWay system was great aswell. Laura was always friendly and polite in communications. Thank you!

Laura Maycock has been very quick, efficient and helpful on the sale of our property, which has been a long process because of problems at the other end of the chain. She has kept in touch with the buyer’s solicitors regularly, given us good advice about how to answer quite vague questions from the buyers, and helped keep us calm when we developed concerns. You couldn’t ask for better support in what is, at times, a rather stressful process!

JS Law have been conscientious, thorough and professional throughout even when issues cropped up that were challenging. Laura took over my case half-way through, she was professional and friendly and always responded promptly to any questions or requests I had. There were times when we experienced challenges which Laura was instrumental in resolving and moving the sale and purchase along effectively.

Absolutely aweful! I dealt with them for conveyancing & had to chase up numerous times! Didn't have the same conveyancer - kept changing & had trainee at one point. They even got my plot number wrong, not just once, but twice. Don't answer the phone or emails - just shocking! AVOID - AVOID - AVOID

I have been using JS Law for almost 14-month time for three purchases, as I could see that the solicitors in JS Law were calm and professional when processing my purchases. Laura Maycock is my solicitor for the third purchase, she has been very efficient and provides swift responses to my queries. Also, the responses are detailed and clear, so that I can fully understand the situation and my best interests are kept before getting ready for exchange.
