GivEnergy Battery added to existing…

GivEnergy Battery added to existing solar system. I chose JPS energy to install a GivEnergy All in One Battery and Gateway to add to my exisiting solar panel system. I had contacted a few companies, but JPS were the only one that got back to me straight away and talked me through the options available rather than just giving a quote. The service I received from JPS was very professional thoughtout, from the initial enquiry, through to the site survey and installation. The engineers that installed the battery and gateway were very professional and did a neat and tidy install of both devices. The whole installation process took less than a day. Once the system was commisioned the engineer took the time to talk me through the system and answer any questions I had. From my experience I would definitely recommend JPS.

Initially unreliable and amateurish

Having waited months for an installation, paid a deposit (in which time the market price of the equipment had dropped by 20%) JPS Energy cancelled the installation appointment at the close of business the previous evening and delayed for another month. Of course no acceptable explanation was given and the office was closed as soon as the email was sent, so none could be sought. This company charge top market rate but provide ghetto service. In hindsight it would have saved me time, money (literally thousands) and effort to have used someone else. Edit: Once the issue was raised, JPS took steps to find and rebook a more acceptable date for the install and made a financial discount gesture to help compensate for the delay and late change. I am satisfied with a fair customer service response.

Excellent service.

The service we've had from start to finish has been excellent. Miles and Dan to begin with. Then the scaffolders (sorry - can't remember all their names). Then Steve and Dave on the roof and Stuart and Kaydon in the house. Really great team. Very polite, considerate and helpful, really neat work, and all cleaned up and cleared away before they left. Thank you, team!.

After sales service severly lacking

After sales service is poor or non existent. I purchased my house in November 2024 and the installation of solar panels was a prerequisite of the purchase and was arranged by the previous owner. I was told that when I took possession of the property JPS, who installed the panels, would help me get set up with the app and connect to the Enphase unit so that I could monitor performance etc. I contacted JPS shortly after moving in and was advised that one of their team (Miles) would contact me to help. I did not hear back and chased after 7 days and was advised that Miles would be in contact. I chased again after 4 more days and insisted on speaking to someone else. This time I made some progress and was helped to get set up with the app, but encountered further problems in connecting the wifi to the Enphase unit. Despite emailing them again, both before and after Christmas, they finally suggested I contact Enphase direct or alternatively they could arrange a site visit for which there would be a fee. I have now managed to connect to the Enphase unit myself. A shame that it worked out this way as I was interested in talking to them about additional solar cell and battery installation.

This is our second Powerwall installed by JPS, on both occasions we experienced excellent customer service from start to finish. We have found them to be professional, efficient, polite and well presented. We would happily recommend them to anybody.
