New box design very inconvenient. Insole of Leap II not firmly attached as previous purchase of Leap. Back of shoe not as good either. .

I bought a pair of lace up shoes on 11/1/25. Today, less than four weeks later, I took them back to the shop because one of the laces was damaged and will probably break shortly. The staff were smug and uninterested, claiming that laces are not an integral part of the shoes, which is as ridiculous as suggesting that tyres are not an integral part of a car. I have not been able to buy replacement laces which are the same colour, which means the shoes.will shortly become unwearable. I was really shocked by the poor service and dismissive attitude of the staff.
My husband and I visited Hotter Eastbourne today. We bought 2x shoes, 1x trainers and a pair of slippers. Scott was very helpful. I have orthopedic innersoles so tried on lots of pairs. I can always rely on Hotter to have footwear with removable innersoles so I can fit my own.

Amazing! I ordered a pair of boots as gift and they arrived within 48hrs of purchase. Great quality and very affordable.
Widnes Branch at Rivendell/Notcutts Garden Centre. Although they haven't arrived yet, I didn't realise you could order in store from the sale online. The manager Nicki found my requested shoes, size and then she placed the order to collect in store. Even giving me an extra discount which I wouldn't have known was currently still an extra offer. Fast, friendly and efficient. 💯❤️ The shop always looks textbook tidy. A really great shopping experience. 😃😃
I am disgusted that I was charged over £7 to return boots that had 2 faulty zips. I clearly stated the faults on the return slip. I have 3 other pairs of hotter shoes and boots bought over the last 3 years. They are lovely and had no faults and I really appreciate the choice of widths. BUT I won't be buying any more shoes or boots from Hotter. It is such bad practice and very poor customer service even to charge for returns and even worse to charge for the return of faulty items. I also think charging for the return of faulty items breaks the law . Under the Consumer Rights Act, if an item is faulty, you are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement, and the seller must cover the cost of returning the item returns. You cannot get out of this by claiming your returns charges are clearly stated on your website like you do in reply to other reviewers below
I like Hotter shoes but I dislike companies that charge for goods bought online to be returned. This is particularly true of boots and shoes which need to be tried on. Return postage should be free
Delivery and packaging was good but the fit is very wide, and the ballet pump loses all elegance by the embellishment with a granny-style ditsy border. Return postage costs not reimbursed. I was irritated to receive an unsolicited email from Feefo to write a product review, which then attempted to lure me into providing personal data to be selected into a consumer campaign. Fortunately I checked Trust Pilot reviews of Feefo, and learnt it is a borderline scam where only positive reviews are published and negative reviews are clipped. Shame on Hotter for using them.
Easy order.
My experience was made great by customer service because when I tried two credit cards they were rejected. Rang customer service and gave my order over the phone, no problem. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and polite.
I bought a pair of shoes and a pair of trainers which fitted perfectly so then I bought another pair of shoes. Similar style same size and standard fit but with an option to take an insole out to make them wide fit. They were huge. Why? Supposed too be a 4 but more like 5. No stores locally so cost to send back. Soo annoying..
I had a pair of hotter shoes brought as a present. They looked lovely but the first time I wore them the rubber soles fell apart. I emailed hotter and told them what had happened but they were not at all interested and I got palmed off . I have purchased a few pairs of there shoes in the past and been happy with them . I didn't want a refund just the shoes replaced but they would not do that so I won't be buying from them again not good customer service.
I bought a pair of Hotter GTX walking shoes for £140.00 about 5 years ago. I hardly wore them due to health issues and the COVID lockdown years. The seams on both shoes have split on the big toe sides where the shoe bends as you walk. I have sent one back and got a phone call from a Hotter employee, on 'behalf of the quality assurance team', claiming these failed seams were 'wear and tear'. She refused to let me talk to the quality assurance team directly, then claimed as Hotter has a new owner it has not bought Hotters 'debt'. I said that companies bought and sold debt all the time. Clearly out of her depth she said this call was clearly not going anywhere, I agreed and said I would make my dissatisfaction known on social media. Takeaway: Please don't waste your money on Hotter walking shoes, they are not made properly and fail very quickly after light use
I sent a complaint to Hotter Shoes regarding a pair which I only wore once or twice. They were kept in the wardrobe in a shoe box. When I went to wear them today I discovered the soles have disintegrated to such an extent they were leaving debris o the floor! The shoes were bought some years ago but their reply was that they are no longer under guarantee so offered no help whatsoever, I just read another review highlighting the very same issue I experienced. This is the last time I will buy Hotter Shoes despite the fact I find them very comfortable. I did not expect the shoes for just disintegrate despite the fact they haven't even been worn!
Despite buying extra wide, their trainers (Chase II) were so narrow I think they'd be narrower than an average non-wide fit. Fine if you're thin footed but anything else and you're not going to find it here. By the way, I wear a wide in M&S and they are fine, just as a comparison. I wasn't very impressed with customer services. they just apologised and said I'd still have to pay to return them - so that's over £7 on postage for a pair of shoes that are essentially not as sold and not fit for purpose. They did tell me that their wide fits are the same on the base as non-wide fitting shoes, but that they are deeper, to allow for your foot to spread out above the base...not for me...not again. Second time I've tried them and same before. Unimpressed.
Purchased shoes online with Hotter but on arrival found that the shoes were scuffed and unfit for purpose. Postage an incredible £4.50 and £2.95 to return so decided to do return via a Hotter Shop, very accommodating but informed me that although the shoes were faulty I would have to ring the Customers Services to get the postage back. I rang on the same day as returned Wednesday 11th June and was assured I would receive the £4.50 and that the returns as yet had not come up on the system. I have had the monies paid for the shoes returned but not the postage. As some previous customers reviews suggest when I follow this up I really felt that the person I spoke to was not apologetic and when I rang today asking why I had still not received it I felt that the tone of the response was again unsupportive. Needless to say I am very disappointed all around both with the state of the shoes purchased and the customer online service hence I will not be purchasing in the future.
I didn’t realise until I read some reviews that Hotter had changed hands, but I could have told you without knowing! I have bought Hotter shoes for myself and my mother for many years and have noticed the quality is not as good recently. The most recent pair I bought for my mum in October, and the stitching on the shoe has split and is unravelling slowly after a few months. So I took them into store and had a really aggressive assistant who told me there was nothing they could do and was really rude and abrasive. A second assistant tried to help and gave me the phone number of customer services, as that’s now how you have to register faults and the store is apparently unable to do anything to resolve issues. I called, no reply. Sent an email, again no reply for over 72 hours. So I called again and finally spoke to someone who asked when I emailed and then told me he had forwarded my email to the relevant department and I would get a reply in 48 hours. So I’m now nearly a week on from trying to return the shoes to store and have just received and email inviting me to return the shoes for inspection (they are now out of stock so they won’t be able to replace them anyway) and if they’re “found to be faulty” then I will be contacted within 30 days to let me know. Hmmmm, I’m beginning to feel like I’m not getting the shoes back and I might be lucky if I ever get a refund! This is slightly ludicrous when someone could have looked at the shoes in the store and given me a refund for what is clearly a fault without everyone’s time being wasted. Hotter used to pride themselves on customer service (which genuinely was great and immediately resolved on the only other time I’ve ever had an issue) but it seems that like their manufacturing quality, their customer service is a poor imitation of what it used to be, which is such a shame. I’m not sure I will be returning as a customer again.
Have Hotter stopped fitting soles that disintegrate? I have stopped buying them after this happened several times. They seem to go hard, crack and fall apart. As a previous reviewer stated the shoe repairer has said it is a common fault and due to unsuitable material being used for soles. I previously contacted Hotter but they didn’t want to know.
I have bought hotter shoes for as long as I can remember but no more! Not only have they changed the fit and sizing, but the postage charges for both the initial delivery and returns is truly excessive. £4.50 to deliver the item, and a whopping £7.55 taken from my refund for the return postage. £12.05 postage in total - definately unimpressed. Goodbye Hotter! I may be cynical, but my guess is that they make more out of the postage charges than the shoes!
