The chocolate is no longer the same quality: it tastes cheap but at a luxury price. Unlikely to buy again. It seems sadly you can't have quality and chase a large market share.

4 packets of my velvetiser sachets the assorted packets have a best by date of next month as a pensioner living alone it is a lot to use up. chocolate itself is first class

Great chocolate absolutely appalling delivery service. Arrived a day late and amazon even had the cheek to claim that they attempted delivery on the previous day when they had not. PLEASE change your delivery company.

Brilliant products. Very helpful on the phone. Quite expensive but beautiful sachet drinks. I love them. The downfall is the delivery by Amazon. My order came on the correct day and during the given hours but was thrown on to the doorstep with no attempts to ring the bell or knock on the door. I heard the parcel being thrown and when i went to the door no one was in sight
Yet again, HC has delivered 5 star service! Easy to order - with plenty of choice - beautifully packaged and delivered on time - what more could I ask for? These were delivered to an elderly family member who's not been too well recently, and to say they cheered her up is an understatement! They were received with a huge smile, and the statement of 'can't wait to try one, they look delicious'....she did try one, then another one and then a third! How wonderful to see a box of motivation delivered and tasting so good... thanks HC - you never let me down!
Recieved the With Love sleeker box as a wedding gift. Nothing special about any of the chocolates at all. The ones that were ok were just bland and tasteless. The Vanilla tasted like gone off cheese, the Lemon Curd like stinky feet, and the Armaretto just like cheap rum. If you looking to buy chocolates for an occasion look else were, wouldn't recommend.
Box that was a gift ( it said Simply Thanks on it ). It came with the opening side partially bashed and half open … be embarrassed to give that now !
I received my package on time, it was well wrapped with plenty of packing to protect it. The three liquors will make a lovely present for my daughter’s birthday as a change from chocolate. Thank you!

Ordered a box of the 10 single serves of drinking chocolate for the velvertiser we are very disappointed with the best before date ( 09/2025) lot no 24281. One reason why we did not buy from the shop at Cheshire oaks because of the short shelf life. We have some left in our cupboard that we bought back in December last year with a longer date .
Vegan Hselection box. I was so looking forward to these brought for me as a special gift as I have a dairy allergy. Wonderful packaging and the chocolates looked fantastic. However the orange nutmilk batons were too subtle for me and just tasted of nutmilk. All the different flavours of Gianduja praline just tasted of nutmilk. Pecan, just tasted of nutmilk. The only ones with flavour other than nutmilk were: The salted caramel, which is much better than Galaxy Vegan, The Bauche too was wonderful flavour and texture The best in the box was raspberry probably due to it being dark chocolate. I would buy these 3 separately if they were available to buy. In conclusion if I just wanted some 'milk chocolate' I would probably buy Galaxy Vegan, side buy side there is a difference Hotel Chocolat being richer and slightly less sweet. But both are heavily nutmilk. I will stick to Hotel Chocolat dark chocolate from now on and hope that one day a Vegan dark chocolate box will appear.
This is a second order which was purchased from a gift card that the company has given me as a “refund” for the melted chocolate from the previous order. Let’s say the chocolates were still melted. Not as melted but definitely not perfect. The box at least had the brand logo inside this time. The card with a personal message though is what has left me speechless. It is a free marketing campaign for them with your message casually typed in. The CARD (!) says “makes delivery simple” or some sort - how disrespectful! I would rather not have received anything. How can I hand it to our teacher? Is it a marketing leaflet or a loving card from a dear pupil? Not a pleasant experience at all. Will definitely seek alternatives next time but not buying from this brand again sorry.
Was so excited to order. Quality of the goods - Excellent! However, delivery was terrible which has massively put me off ordering again. I always get my deliveries to work ( My factory) so i dont miss them and if i do they wont be left outside as the factory is clearly SHUT! My delivery arrived at 4pm, gates, shutters and factory quite clearly CLOSED and the driver left it outside on public display when the sky was black and it was about to rain. You are charging premium prices for delivery and receiving terrible service.

I ordered a Velvetiser starter kit and the boxes of drinks have an extremely short date. I have contacted Hotel Chocolat twice and have had no response. Not great customer service
Order arrived two days later than it should’ve done customer service couldn’t tell me where it is all the reason as to why it was late and “hopefully it should turn up today” I was told to refuse delivery if it does arrive that’s the only way to get my money back. I was not in when the item was being delivered so they’ve delivered it and now I have to return it. I forgot to mention that I paid next day delivery for this item on Monday and it’s only just been delivered at 3:45 on Friday
So easy to order and a great offer price. It was delivered on time to my friends address. The Velvetiser was bought as a gift and was very well received.
