The chocolate is no longer the same quality: it tastes cheap but at a luxury price. Unlikely to buy again. It seems sadly you can't have quality and chase a large market share.

4 packets of my velvetiser sachets the assorted packets have a best by date of next month as a pensioner living alone it is a lot to use up. chocolate itself is first class

I love the taste and variety of their chocolates. They are rather expensive so I only order them for special occasions. These were chosen for the birthday of a family member. They were delivered on her actual birthday as requested. She was very happy with them.
The customer care team, was so helpful when I couldn't place my order for the Hotel chocolat mint. Which is so tasty. Lady Jeanna
This review relates to Hotel Chocolat's courier, not HC themselves. I was out at an appointment when my delivery was allegedly made. My parcel wasn't there when I arrived home, no card was left and none of my neighbours have knocked to say they have the package.
Excellent product as expected. Delivery was spot on, arriving as predicted. Only disappointment was that I ordered the goods and paid, the next day I received an email giving me a 10% discount which would have reduced the cost of my order.
The chocolates were lovely, as usual, and they were beautifully packaged, but the delivery was most unsatisfactory, with the parcel being thrown into a flowerbed just beside the gate at the end of our driveway. We are some 20 miles from a Hotel Chocolat shop, but I'd be reluctant to order chocolates by mail now, unfortunately.
I am very pleased with my order. I am looking forward to placing more orders.
I ordered what I thought was a nice box of chocolates when paying it said payment hadn’t gone through so did it again ended paying twice and getting two boxes. Wouldn’t of minded but when they came the boxes were a quarter of the size I thought they were from picture on site. Totally disappointed. I will have to buy further gift now as this is totally unacceptable and total waste of money
If I could leave 0 stars I would. This was my 1st subscribe order. My order was delivered & left beside my rubbish & recycling. I was out for the day & didn’t return until 10pm. No surprise it is was not there. My guess is it was removed along with rubbish & recycling. Why didn’t they leave on other side of door where there was no rubbish.
As a VIP.ME Member, I got a bit of discount on my order which was appreciated. I purchased two Exuberantly Fruity Sleeksters which are my favourite, one box for me and one for a present. Hotel Chocolat are undoubtably expensive, however, in this case, you get what you pay for and I do limit myself to one chocolate per week, which means the Sleekster lasts me a while. Sadly and annoyingly, on this occasion, the Courier (Amazon) delivered to the completely wrong address and the householder had to bring it round, however this is not the norm.
The chocolates were a gift for an ailing friend... they were well received, but then they were a gift so the sentiments will not necessarily reflect the full truth. But I have every reason to assume the chocolates and presentation box were excellent. However, I paid extra for guaranteed next day delivery and the gift was delivered (by Amazon) a day late. The world didn't crumble as a result, but now I have the feeling that I can't rely on Hotel Chocolate's promise of performance. I chased delivery this morning, but received no response from customer services... so I wonder how many complaints they receive. Then it's what the company does that matters... not the words.
The product ordered was great as described. However I paid extra for next day (for a special occasion) and this was apparently delivered by Amazon, they did not deliver next day! Notifications kept informing me it was to be delivered but it was another day later before it actually happened. While next day was only £1 more, it is the fact it was a day late that I am disappointed!
Speedy delivery. Chocolates bought for my daughter (to celebrate her early retirement) and for my granddaughter (to say week done on exam results). Ideal as a special gift.

What a joke of a company. Happens to every business that goes big, low quality ingredients, expensive prices and disgusting, rude, lying members of staff. The chocolate is average!

I called Hotel Chocolat customer services on the morning of Monday 28th July after having an issue ordering via their app. The man I spoke with was really helpful, completed my order on the call and provided complimentary delivery to compensate for the difficulty. It's now Thursday afternoon and I'm happily drinking my dairy-free hazelnut latte, thanks to quick and efficient delivery via Royal Mail. I appreciate Hotel Chocolat's diverse vegan range and have consistently received a high quality of customer service.
Paid for erly delivery which said Tuesday as we was going away on Thursday. Amazon messaged to say there was a delay and would be Wednesday but nothing arrived u till Thursday so now it has been left outside
Really disappointed second box of chocolates delivered a day late by Amazon chocolates gorgeous but delivery terrible. Don't use Amazon for deliveries
No parcel received. Nobody has been to property. I have checked CCTV footage and the only visitor I had walking along the drive was a cat.
