The staff are really helpful and try to help as much as they can. If my store doesn't have what I'm looking for then they ring the other local stores to try and see if they have it.

Bought some festoon lights for outside, they were installed correctly, however they only lasted 3 weeks.

No school cakes or giant monster munch. Absolutely raging. Not acceptable. This place is terrible.

DON’T BUY ONLINE Half of my (£100+) order never arrived, I had no communication to find out why, tried ringing 3 times (homebargains & delivery team), I still don’t know why. Had to wait several weeks for a refund. I worked out exactly how much it should be. When it came it was £21.54 short. I’m bet the next two weeks I fought to get my money back. I even found out exactly what the problem was, but Collette, the lady assigned to my problem, wouldn’t listen. She just repeated that as far as she was concerned the delivery people have said that this is what the refund should be so that’s what I got - £21.54 short of what I paid. I ended up circling her own statement and the delivery statement she sent me, to clearly show her where the problem laid, also said I was getting my bank involved. By this point, it wasn’t the £21.54 anymore, it was the fact that I was repeatedly sending proof to Collette and she just wasn’t budging, couldn’t be bothered to sort it. As soon as I mentioned the bank involvement I received a refund, but to this date, I’ve had no apology whatsoever. Disgusting way to treat a good customers who ordered at least £150 worth of goods every 6 weeks or so. Not ordered from them online since and never will again- thanks Collette 👎
Went to my local shop, asked staff to check if an item was available in the warehouse... They replied... They are too busy to check if something is in stock.... Very poor customer service and very unprofessional, won't be using again.
Sarah at home bargains speke on the christmas isle was really helpfull testing lights and even persuaded me to buy a 16.5 foot grinch which my kids loved really nice person and lots of time for customers which is rare these days keep up the good work
Got robbed inside Caerphilly store by cashier Tom I bought some sweets for my grand Kids for £2.50 I gave him a £20 note and said hes not giving me my change SCUMBAG!!!
Thankyou so much to Eve from customer support who sorted a refund in no time after contacting. We always love shopping at Home bargains.
Well run store in Sunderland. This is a great value store we use now and then. The garden Centre has real bargains and like the rest of the store its always neat and tidy. Plenty of checkouts open so you get served quickly. Love the bread rolls cooked fresh every day.
I don't understand why at the busiest trading time of the year i.e Christmas retail establishments are reluctant it seems to have staff manning the tills. Visited BM bargains in Arnold Nottingham today and only one young women on the tills despite a queue of customers waiting to pay for goods. A lady who appeared to be " in charge " was more interested in clearing up baskets than taking money....no wonder shops are closing and people use Amazon when this is the experience of shoppers. It's no good spending money on marketing when the instore experience is poor. Priority should be money in the tills.
I would like to praise the lady on sunday that help us so much after I fell in the car park. She was wonderful credit to the store
Holyhead Store!!! I have been to many home bargains in north wales and nothing is better than Holyhead! Management should be given a medal and a heafty raise All the shelves are stocked and everything is lined up nicely Other stores should take a field trip down to this store to see how it’s done
Kai and jason thieves!! Stealing someone's hard earned money, I really hope your ready to have no job for Christmas.
Kai store manager of Dover has allowed or participated in theft alone side co worker Jason of £300 AND £300 worth of Christmas nut crackers that was owned by the customer coming to collect! Disgusting, I do a huge shop at least twice every December with my two best friends and not only will we be going to b&m instead, this is going all over my social media! Vile behaviour share this scam far and wide!
Jason promised to hold 3 nutcrackers after taking payment of THREE HUNDRED POUNDS. When the customer went to collect them Kai said they were no longer in store and refused to investigate it. DO NOT shop here unless you want to be scammed
Home Bargains Dover should be disgusted with themselves. Scamming a person out of £300 of Nutcracker decorations. They were paid for and meant to have been put in a safe place until she could return with a vehicle big enough to put them in along with showing her receipt to be safe. After lots of poor communication she goes tonthe store and surprise surprise they have “already been collected” one claimed on Tuesday whilst another claimed on Monday. Of course this should not have been possible because the receipts could not have been shown. The manager and assistant managers and other staff who had knowledge of where they were are deceitful and untrustworthy. Do not expect good service from this store its run by Alibaba and his thieves. The CEO should be refunding this poor woman and her family. DOVER HOME BARGAINS SHAME ON YOI
Absolutely disgusting behaviour from "managers" of your store. Stealing money and lying is disgraceful.
May want to avoid this Store. Current reports that the managers Kai and Jason prefer to take payment and then the items disappear into thin air before customers can collect, leaving customers out of pocket and concerned about potential theft is very concerning. The fact that this is all over social Media, and caused such distress, and still Head office haven't reached out to offer any resolution either is shocking. Is this what you consider good Practice?, cause your ethics are questionable, if it is.
I went into Home Bargains in Northwich and Lynda was AMAZING !! She went above and beyond for me and after a while in the store I left the store feeling like we were friends!!! She was friendly and helpful and offered to get me a deeper trolley (I was on a mission!!) and she reminded me to pick up my fragrances. What a star you are Lynda- THANK YOU so much.
KAI AND JASON NEED SACKING ROBBING SCUM Leaving a woman crying her eyes out after scamming her of £300. I won’t be shopping in any home bargain store ever again as this is how you treat your customers!!!! Sort it out before you regret it!!! TRAMPS
Would give no stars if I could! DOVER STORE Stole a customers item which cost £300 thought it was funny it’s not it’s a criminal matter GIVE HER THE NUTCRACKERS OR HER MONEY BACK OR BOTH AND SACK YOUR STAFF!
Dover Branch: Scam Absolute disgrace that a customer has been scammed out of £300, particularly at this time of year. Kai and Jason at the Dover store owe her £300, 3 Nutcrackers and an apology. Is anyone from Home Bargains thinking of contacting this woman and resolving this?
