The connection due to customs closure
The connection was missed due to customs closing their connector line leaving us in general customs at 11:00 PM in ATL. We called Heymondo rep that night who assured us it would be covered. We sent the paperwork needed and after months later, heard back they would not cover our necessary stay and Uber. We stayed in a 1 Star and only had Uber rides, not much. It is the principle of the thing we are disappointed in; the company is not honoring what the rep said NOR the insurance. How is it possible we won’t be reimburse? It was not anything we could have prevented ourselves. They should pay door to door on flight disruptions. Plus, no calls allowed, only email once trip is over so we sit around waiting for months with back and forth. Pay the extra expenses. We will not use them or recommend them. ADDENDUM: After a couple of months of back and forth emails, they did finally reimburse me a majority of the cost but not all therefore I have increased the stars to 3.
