The connection due to customs closure

The connection was missed due to customs closing their connector line leaving us in general customs at 11:00 PM in ATL. We called Heymondo rep that night who assured us it would be covered. We sent the paperwork needed and after months later, heard back they would not cover our necessary stay and Uber. We stayed in a 1 Star and only had Uber rides, not much. It is the principle of the thing we are disappointed in; the company is not honoring what the rep said NOR the insurance. How is it possible we won’t be reimburse? It was not anything we could have prevented ourselves. They should pay door to door on flight disruptions. Plus, no calls allowed, only email once trip is over so we sit around waiting for months with back and forth. Pay the extra expenses. We will not use them or recommend them. ADDENDUM: After a couple of months of back and forth emails, they did finally reimburse me a majority of the cost but not all therefore I have increased the stars to 3.

no answer after 4 days!

Sent a query to customer service about a refund for cancelling a booking due to natural disaster - hurricane. It was 4 days ago and nobody contacted me back. Don't think will renew my annual insurance next year.

Experiencia nefasta

No me gusta hacer este tipo de comentarios pero creo que de vez en cuando hay que hacerlos. Por desgracia contraté el seguro de Mondo para mi viaje a Tailandia, con la mala pata que el primer día que llegué allí tuve un accidente y me atropelló un bus. Ya de primeras cuando recuperé la conciencia y llamé al seguro el personal tan eficaz que tiene me dicen a mi que a qué hospital me llevaban porque dependiendo de a qué hospital me llevaran me cubrían o no. Al final la hospitalización me la cubrió el seguro del autobús que me atropelló porque mi seguro no hizo nada. Llamó mi madre en muchas ocasiones para solicitar un traductor que nunca llegó, pidió asistencia jurídica (que supuestamente me cubrían) y me escribieron a mi que estaba hospitalizada sin poder moverme para que hiciera las averiguaciones de quien era el señor que me había atropellado y que seguro me estaba pagando, y después, por si no fuera suficiente, nos dijeron que yo (desde el hospital) me tenía que contratar un abogado allí. Hemos llamado demasiadas veces y lo único que me hicieron fue una repatriación y 3 días en el hospital porque me estaban a punto de dar el alta y pretendían que me fuera a un hotel cuando no podía ni estar sola porque tenía que estar bajo observación médica. Por no hablar del tema de recuperar el dinero de las actividades que pagué por adelantado y que obviamente no pude disfrutar. Lo único que recupérate fue parte de vuelo y fue porque mi madre lo gestionó directamente con la compañía con la que compré el billete de avión. Aún estoy en espera de que me respondan los miles de correos que hemos enviado para que cumplan con algunas de las coberturas que ellos me vendieron en la póliza y a las cuales aún tengo derecho.

POLICY AMENDMENT

I needed to amend a new policy I had just purchased. E mailed to Heymondo. Job done in a few minutes, new policy documents received, no fuss. Polite, friendly and helpful.

Hard work to gain your refund, customers inform yourself

Firstly I think do your research and make sure you read reviews about the service people received with Hey Mondo, not how easy it was to sign up. My experience- it took an extended period of time to be reimbursed for ~ 1700 euro. It took several emails to Hey Mondo and their contracted insurance company IRIS global (who are terrible) to receive my refund. I will highlight I sent blood tests, receipts, doctors prescriptions, contact details of doctors and STILL had to rebook a doctor appointment for the doctor to type a small paragraph to get my refund. I then realised they underpaid me 400 Euro and I once again had resend the same information. I appreciate I got my money eventually, however you MUST be switched on to email, and literally fight for your money back and honestly it was extremely stressful! As a side note IRIS global the company HeyMondo work with are terrible and should be called out for their terrible terrible customer service. Addit reply: The doctor did not write a report, my doctor literally wrote 4 sentences, stating less information then my blood work report. Sorry but it was definitely a way for HeyMondo or Iris to get out of paying a claim unless people really wanted it. The 400 euro missing was a way to see if I would notice something wasn't paid out, because no one told me something was not paid until I did the math and asked for a breakdown of the recipt. Like I said it was paid- but with a lot of hassle, stress, many emails, and loops to jump through. I imagine people claiming less wouldn't waste their time, which is what HeyMondo would hope for.

Seguro de cancelación de viaje

Buscando un seguro de cancelación de viaje encontré Heymondo por casualidad. Lo recomendaba una viajera influencer. Revisando las coberturas y los tipos de seguro acabe recurriendo al chat de Heymondo. La verdad es que no me aclaraba y no quería equivocarme. Quería un producto que se adaptará a mis necesidades. La operadora Alex se puso en contacto conmigo, le expliqué lo que me pasaba e inmediatamente me llamó por teléfono. Intuyó que mi asesoramiento iba a ser complicado. He de reseñar que Álex es toda una profesional entendida en el tema además de ser encantadora, supereducada y agradable. Me ha explicado todo lo relativo al seguro poniéndome supuestos prácticos con los que he entendido con claridad cuales eran mis necesidades y que producto tenía que contratar. También me ha enviado un enlace a través del cual he gestionado la contratación. Gracias Alex, debería de haber más gente como tú en todos los sectores.

È difficile recensire un’assicurazione per i viaggi almeno che non si possa, malauguratamente, averne bisogno. Ieri, durante il nostro viaggio in Florida, mia moglie ha avvertito problemi ad un orecchio. Niente di serio, ma non abbiamo voluto sottovalutare il problema soprattutto in vista del viaggio si ritorno. Abbiamo chiamato quindi il call center tramite l’app. Ci hanno risposto subito e dato assistenza. Ci hanno trovato un health Care dove andare a Miami e, quando siamo arrivati, avevano già inviato tutta la documentazione necessaria. Mia moglie è stata curata con cortesia e professionalità ed il problema totalmente risolto. Assolutamente tutto perfetto. Grazie e bravi non ho altro da dire

assicurazione che non usero' mai piu'

assicurazione che non usero' mai piu'. il 15 luglio il mio volo roma- venezia e' stato ritardato di 9 ore e quindi ho attivato il sinistro di ritardo che prevedeva euro 300 a persona dopo 8 ore di ritardo. i rimborso e' stato declinato perche' dicono che non pagano in caso di sciopero. il mio volo era da ney york a roma con ita e poi roma -venezia ,il mio ultimo volo non e' stato annullato ma solo spostato perche' i controllori erano in sciopero dalle 10 alle 18 del 15 luglio. troppo comodo , cosa serve prevedere ritardo se poi non pagate nulla, per qualsiasi motivo: sciopero, eventi atmosferici, eventi politici, o dite che se ne deve occupare la compagnia aerea? mah sono delusa al massimo !!!Pensa se succedeva nel volo principale!!
