Disappointed

I pay health insurance, so that in situations like today, I get quick help, for 3 days I have had a fever, sinus pain, cough, I needed medicine right away because I feel it is getting worse, the doctor told me to wait 10 days and I will get better. I will not pay for such advice, I just feel cheated, I have to go to the GP and pay again, I do not recommend services in this company,And all the negative opinions are unfortunately true.

Don't waste your money

You can only get appointment for the next day at the earliest. They have wasted 4 days of my time, while being sick, as first they asked me to send a photo, then they scheduled the second call to discuss the photo and examine for 2 days later, just to say that it is best to go and see a GP in-person. It is a waste of money.

Referred back to NHS

I was told I would have to go back to the NHS as they wouldn't complete a form for me that my workplace has requested which would allow me to work from home for just a few weeks while I wait for a procedure at the hospital, It's not like I'm asking for the world! Now I've got to struggle to get my doctors as my mobility is bad due to plates & pins in both feet, Very poor service didn't want to help me at all.

Terrible

Terrible. There was a link to this service through my own GP surgery and,in desperation I decided to pay for an online consultation for my son as I could not get a GP appointment. I was told when the video started that the service is not for under 16s, that it was in their terms and conditions and I would therefore not receive a refund! I've complained but if course they've all backed themselves up so I've paid for nothing. It was NOT clear the service wasn't for under 16s. Awful company.

Why hide costs

When checking to use this service I fortunately went to Trustpilot first as well as other reviews on the web. I decided to dismiss them, as it always concerns me when the costs are hidden. Additionally I note on their own web site that they do not serve the UK as yet, but forthcoming. ** Their H.O.is in London :)

Rude, judgemental and horrible consultants, pay to be judged!

I had an awful experience with HealthHero. I booked an expensive, last-minute appointment before travelling for advice regarding some pain I was experiencing. The consultant was rude, judgemental and condescending. I explained I had booked the appointment as I was travelling the following day and working and unable to get an appointment with my usual GP. The consultant’s response was “so you have time to work and you have time to go on holiday, but you don’t have time to go to a walk-in clinic”. I never said I was going on holiday, I could have been travelling for a funeral or any other reason. It was a judgemental and rude comment that was irrelevant to my appointment. I was left in floods of tears after how the consultant spoke to me. The appointment was so terrible I had asked the consultant not to speak to me like that and told him how rude he was during the appointment. I made a complaint and they concluded the consultant was not rude and I was wrong - not only do they charge you to be spoken down to, they will then tell you that your feelings are invalid if you try to question them. Please, don’t use this service unless you want to pay someone to make you feel terrible and judge you on the spot. Their consultants lack any empathy or compassion, which are generally qualities I would expect to find in a healthcare professional…

I had a very concerning experience with…

I had a very concerning experience with HealthHero that raises serious questions about their operational safety protocols. I had a telehealth visit for an ear complaint and was prescribed medication. After taking this medication for 6 days, I received a call out of the blue from their helpdesk informing me that I had been taking the WRONG medication. The only reason they caught this major error is because another patient received my incorrect prescription and flagged it as an issue. HealthHero did not have any systems in place to catch this themselves before dispensing an entirely incorrect medication to me. This is an unacceptable lapse in safety. If it weren't for the other patient speaking up, I could have continued taking the wrong medicine indefinitely, potentially causing serious health issues. I cannot believe HealthHero did not have protocols to immediately contact me the second they realized the prescription error. I am deeply troubled by the lack of safety checks and sloppy operational controls at this company. Being prescribed the flat-out wrong medication and only finding out by chance after 6 days is dangerous and unacceptable, especially from a medically non-qualified help desk employee. I will not be using HealthHero again after this incident shook my confidence in their ability to provide safe, reliable care.

a fraud!!!

i needed a HPV Vaccine prescription, so i went to their website that indicated a link that i could book an appointment with the GP, so i payed 40€ to do that. when the doctor called me he refuse to give me the prescription and told me to do another thing where i would pay another 35€, i called the info number to ask about that and they just told me it was completely my fault and i would not have my money back since they have absolutely nothing to do w that, now i dont have my prescription, didnt have my appointment and have to pay 75€ all because this horrivle site and their horrible costumer service, terrible experience!!!!!!

First time experience with Health Hero GP

I was a first time user with the Health Hero GP service, which I accessed via my employer's cash health plan. The fact I could book an appointment for a bank holiday Monday alone was impressive but that was just the start. I had several appointment reminders throughout the day and the GP rang bang on the scheduled time. I didn't feel rushed; the GP - Dr Pettifer was very personable and took the time to listen. He was very thorough and gave me very helpful advice. The prescription was emailed to me within 15 minutes. This service on its own is well worth being a member of my employer's cash health plan for. I'll definitely be using the service again (although I am usually fit and healthy, touch wood!) Thanks Dr Pettifer and Health Hero.

Doctor was almost an hour late to my phone appointment. I pay a lot of money every month for health insurance, and so my frustration is also at WPA for partnering with Health Hero. Why should I be paying for a service that is as badly operated as the NHS

Health Hero are shocking

Health Hero are shocking. Their GPs do not have access to your notes. Got it really wrong with my wife. Made her issues sound far more serious than they actully were. review them yourself and Beneden health £15.50 per month times two in my case is a lot of money for almost nothing AVOID SAVE YOUR MONEY

Dr Butt was brilliant

Dr Butt was brilliant - from swift correct diagnosis to follow up calls to make sure my partner was getting the correct treatment. Couldn't recommend this service highly enough if all the Health Heroes are like her! She's certainly our hero and probably, literally, saved my partner's life.

Quick to take your money then you need to chase

Very quick process to make sure you have paid for the service Waited 40 mins. No one joined the call. Called customer services who told me gp had not started the clinic session. With today's technology it would have been nice to get a notification. Asked for a refund and was told it would be processed. 2 weeks later had to chase customer service as I remembered I still hadn't recieved my refund. Finally got my money back. I'm pretty sure if I didn't chase them I wouldn't have got my money back.

Really helpful and easy to use service.

Struggling to get and appointment with the NHS I called up health hero which is a benefit from my work. It was easy to make an appointment and get speaking to a GP on the same day. My appointment was ban on times and the doctor I spoke to listened to me well, was helpful and I didn't feel rushed. What was discussed was then forwarded on to my own GP

Dr called 15 minutes late…

Dr called 15 minutes after scheduled appointment time, I couldn’t then use the appointment as I was due to go into a meeting. Was told I would need to reschedule the appointment. Had it been on time it wouldn’t have been an issue. Total waste of time for all involved.

Spammed with strange emails

Bombarded me with 20 emails this morning saying my documents had expired... except I have never signed up with them or even heard of them until now. They said I was one of their EAP therapists, which I am not. I have no idea how they got my details unless the EAP company Validium that I contacted three years ago (who have been utterly useless) sold them on.
