Don’t see the point of this virtual GP

Don’t see the point of this virtual GP. Completely waste of time. EVERY SINGLE TIME you call them and go through your problem, they say that you need to see a doctor in your local GP. Called 5 times in the past 6 months, and ALWAYS THE SAME THING. Don’t bother calling them. Just go to your local GP.

Excellent service

I used Health Hero through my Health Shield work policy, it was Good Friday and I was away on a caravan holiday within the UK and was worried because the antibiotics that I had taken for a week had not worked for an infection. The doctor phoned me right on time and asked me lots of questions and he was able to prescribe me new antibiotics for me to pick up on the Saturday morning. The prescription was sent to my email and phone and I was able to get this with no fuss whatsoever at the local Boots the next day. Absolute lifesaver to be honest as my condition was very uncomfortable and I would not have been able to wait until the following Tuesday to get to see or speak to a doctor at my surgery. You saved my holiday! I really appreciated the support and understanding of my predicament being away from home and also it being a 4 day Easter break with two bank holidays here in the UK. Thank you Health Hero!

Would use this service again!

Used this service through my Employer benefits due to lack of appointments at my GP. Logged in, and got an appointment 2 hours later over the phone. The GP went through the consultation and provided much needed antibiotics for my sinusitis within 10 minutes. Only negative was the appointment felt rushed, but this is only the case at my home GP. I would use again, a smooth process 🙏

Useless and wrong advice

As other reviewers have said they didn’t help me, just wanted me to contact my normal gp. They also tomd me my symptoms did not warrant further investigation wheras my normal gp has now referred me to a specialist clinic. Waste of time and dangerous.

Disgraceful service and a scam

Disgraceful service and a scam! Can't do anything for you! I put in my notes previous to paying £50 that I desperately needed a blood test referral. So she knew very well I needed that. I never had 50 pounds to throw away she took the call took me 50 pounds and told me to see a GP. It's actually disgusting! I'm heartbroken and sobbing my eyes out. £50 to be told to go to my GP who I specifically told her in my notes before I couldn't get one through my GP so she knew and still took the call. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I did to this to another person let alone someone who is desperate for answers and feels extremely vulnerable at the moment. It's a scam do not even bother! Don't be desperate like I was and lose money to someone who isn't even a GP! It's lies.

ZGP24 is providing an extremely poor…

ZGP24 is providing an extremely poor service. If their telephone consultations only result in telling patients to book a GP appointment themselves, then what’s the point of having them in the first place? It’s a complete waste of time. The fact that this has happened three times in a year shows a pattern of inefficiency. If a referral is needed, they should issue it instead of forcing patients through unnecessary steps. Making people go through extra layers of bureaucracy instead of actually helping them is not healthcare—it’s just creating frustration. And then there’s the GP appointment booking system. Expecting patients to call at 7 AM and fight through endless busy lines just to *maybe* get an appointment is disgraceful. When someone has ongoing health issues, the last thing they need is a system that makes access to care even harder. ZGP24’s service is failing the very people it’s supposed to support.

Good service overall

The GP was over 10min late for the appointment but apologised. I felt listened to and had the opportunity to discuss a number of points. The recommendation was to see my GP at the clinic and a suggested referral to a physio, which did not solve my problem but reinforced my prior understanding that my condition was not just subjective.

Extremely disappointed with zgp24

Extremely disappointed with zgp24. The GP was 20 minutes late to the virtual appointment due to technical issues, then proceeded to tell me they were "not best placed" to do a virtual consultation! They were incredibly dismissive of my symptoms, blaming them on being a working mum and perimenopause. Complete waste of time, especially since I booked this to avoid NHS wait times. Would not recommend.

Pointless business

To call this a service is an overstatement. They have let me down twice, and when you ring their number, it simply says the line is engaged before cutting off.

AWFUL Service, GP useless

AWFUL Service!! The GP was useless and would not do a referral letter for my son, I just think he couldn't be bothered. They did not do any safety checks either which I found weird given that my appointment was for my son. I also requested a video appointment and the GP said video was not working and it had to be a telephone. I normally use other services like tapGP and Livi - the doctors have always been amazing. But as I get health hero from my gym I thought id try them - never again! They clearly do not care about their patients.

I had an appointment with these and it was great. I managed to get an appointment 4 hours after I looked on a Sunday and the Doctor called back at the time I booked. She listened to my issue and explained things and also sent the prescription within 5 mins. Great service.

SCAMMERS!

SCAMMERS! I had an online appointment to check some simptoms I was having, in like 5 minutes the doctor said: "Sorry, you have to go to your local hospital to have a proper check up", then I asked to have some cold or flu medices or whatever and he simply refused to suggest any and wasn't allowed to do, not even a paracetamol they were capable to suggest... its simply ridiculous. It was 50£ to have someone asking me to cough on the phone, what a joke... AVOID AT ALL COSTS, go to your GP or even wait in the hospital but DO NOT PAY THESE SCAMMERS!

Useless service for children

They knowingly accepted an appointment for my child - then told me they can't treat children remotely - refused to even send in a prescription for amoxicillin and told me to go to the emergency room instead. Absolutely useless. You would have thought I was asking for oxycontin for a child.

Made a video appt and was seen 3 hours later. Dr Patel was friendly and very helpful. I would use the service again. Some of the negative reviews are outside the scope of telemedicne and GPs cannot prescribe for some conditions.

Useless

Useless. They have a wide range of medications they won't prescribe (I'm not even talking about controlled meds). Only useful if you want a fruitless chat with a GP - which is no one.

Knowledgable helpful and explained my condition

Had a consultation for a second opinion on a condition which my GP had not explained properly. Consultation was efficient and commenced on time. At no time did I feel rushed. HH GP listened, asked questioned and throughly checked my symptoms before explaining her diagnosis and giving me advice on why to do going forward. Whilst essentially coming to the same conclusion as my GP, she filled the gaps, explained why I was experiencing my symptoms and also advised me why to do. Overall a very good experience.

Avoid at all costs, it’s a rip off.

I found this through a link in my GP practices page, so assumed it was legit. It said they could issue prescriptions. Paid £49 for a consultation, that was the only info. When the doctor came on, she said to be quick as I had 12 minutes and she had other patients waiting. She recommended some medication that was over the counter, I said none of it worked so that’s why I needed a doctor. She went on to try and sell me health insurance and said if I had a plan I could get x, y and z tests done. She was most intent on telling me all this and I couldn’t get a word in edgewise. I left the call feeling very disappointed that I had wasted all that money for such a poor service. I then received an email with a prescription and it was only usable at their pharmacy and it would cost £35. I get free prescriptions but I can’t use this prescription anywhere else. Needless to say they can stick their prescription where the sun doesn’t shine!

Useless

Doctor was 15 minutes late. Didn't go on camera. Treated me with suspicion because I was asking for a prescription only medicine to help me manage severe back pain. Asked me if I was hiding something from him. Didn't offer any practical help whatsoever.
