I honestly simply cannot believe a property manager company would rent out a residence with this many issues. I'm sure no licensed inspector has been in this unit.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This property management company is the worst. I had them manage a duplex in the Indy area. There's no local maintenance team, they use subcontractors. There'... See more

Problems not resolved. What if I was a family member, would I get the same treatment? If I can respond in a day, there’s no reason for me to be told that the owner still hasn’t responded after weeks have went by.
I made a maintenance request through latchel. The serviceman was kind courteous told me what the problem was and unclogged the drain but told me this would be a temporary fix and that he would need to put another work order in but he wasn’t going to do that but will call the office directly to tell them what else needed to be done in order to make the problem go completely away.
I had a bad experience my move in was 3/11/2022. I didn’t have water for 6 days and the back door had a whole in it. The hot water heater wasn’t working prior to me moving in. I put in maintenance request on the online portal and it wouldn’t take my request bc the property manager didn’t put me in the system. When I asked for a credit on my account for the inconvenience I was told no. I finally got running water on 3/16/2022. The property manager Laura Nelson is rude and unprofessional. She called me back after numerous of text messages and emails on the 6th day. I had to commute an hour away to shower with my 3 small children in the cold. I wouldn’t recommend using them not professional at all. Oh, and you can only talk to them through emails and text messages.
Worst place ever put in a application only for them to never getting in contact with you constantly giving you the runaround
Ceiling leaking for 2 months and still no repair yet I received a 3 day notice
Well I currently can’t live in my home because I have no heat or water. Broken promises to fix things, unanswered emails, no contact number to speak to a real live human being. Offhand, I’d say it’s going pretty well, wouldn’t you?
I was approved and accepted for a home. Impossible to get in contact with ANYONE. Even through their “support email” or “leasing email”. Something needs to be done. I have no follow up with putting a deposit down and no one is taking this seriously. At this point I am contacting their corporate. It has been days after getting accepted and still no emails or calls back. I don’t understand why it is so hard for them to respond to an urgent message. This makes me want to rent from another property management. No one answers the phones or follows up with me. I have left numerous emails and phone calls. I need to be moved out in 3 weeks and I figured that once someone is accepted that they would go forward. Spoke to someone on the phone today and told me someone would email me back TODAY about my next steps. Still nothing. Is this even a real company? Id hate to get an attorney involved and legal actions but they need to do better as a property company. I’m surprised after all these horrible reviews they haven’t fixed anything. Someone please respond to my emails. I have sent SEVERAL and did exactly what they told me to do and still NOTHING.
Wondering if other Great Jones owners have not gotten their March rent?? After 4 days of increasingly angrier inquiries I finally got a convoluted and false answer about not getting mine. They sent copies of both February and March owners statements. On March THEY REMOVED ALL THE TRANSACTION DATES! Then tried to tell me the rent was late so that's why I didn't get it. LIES!! On the owners portal it showed the rent had arrived on the date it usually does and they had taken out their management fee 4 days later. 2 days before they should have sent me my portion. They removed the dates to try and cover up the fact they were lying about why they didn't send the rent!! When I pointed this out it was back to no reply. And still no rent money!!!!
I love my new home. But on the 3rd day my toilets backed up into the tub. I reached out to maintenance and was informed they had no contract with the home. I asked of they could reach a property manager..no one helped.I called at least 7 times before someone helped me. And sent a plumber to fix the issue. There is no trash can. I called and was told I would have to cover the cost unless the owner would. There is no way to reach the owner to ask. There aren't any street lights by my home also called about it and was informed I could pay out of pocket or start a petition for a $100. Theses are fees I did not anticipate on covering.
I have only been in my house for two months, I feel that it's to early to be writing a review. I will however write a review after six months. However I don't have anything negative to say at the moment...
I just got approved for the home that I applied for today, the staff was very helpful, nice and patient with me particularly Pasquale handled me with care. I am excited for what my future holds with this company and my future home. Thanks for your help.
Recently the furnace in our unit began making a strange noise so I contacted the maintenance line and they set up a service company to come out and take a look at the Issue. I was pleasantly surprised that the service company contacted me almost immediately and scheduled a tech to come out same day. Within a few hours the tech showed up and was very professional and knowledgeable. The issue was repaired in about an hour. Thank you Great Jones for your quick response to our concern.
Horrid experience with this company! I started using Great Jones to manage my rental house in 2019. There were SOOOOO many issues with them before this last one, but I am not going to go into them. The latest problem was when I decided to no longer rent my home out. I told them in October of 2021 that we no longer were going to rent it and were going to sell the home. They obviously didn't listen and decided to bill us 200 dollars to get it ready to rent again in January when the current lease was up. They still haven't removed it from our account. Then, once we finally got it through to them that we weren't going to use them anymore, they assessed the damage done by the tenants that moved out and it came to a total of over 4k. Backstory, one of the tenants moved out after the first year and was taken off of the lease. They DID NOT however, redo the security bond with the remaining tenants. So, after the tenants moved out with all of the damage, we tried to get them to reimburse us for the damages. The Jetty bond company refused to pay because it was in the removed tenant's name. You can't get in touch with Great Jones any other way than email and half of the time they ignore them. Right now, we are out that money and we will have to use the court system to get that money back.
Application fee is $50. It took 3 weeks for me to get an answer of approval. 5810 Blueridge drive looked great during walk through but we later found out the house was full of mold (especiallyin the bathroom walls), had a leaking roof(in master bedroom and the conjoining bedroom) and a hole in the gas line. There is no office or direct line to speak to a person about house issues. You have to put in an order and they will get back with you. We had toilet issues every month and they would send out a different plumbing company each time but only to get an estimate for how much it would be and then we would never see the people again. Great Jones is such a horrible company that they are now on the "Do not service" list for Columbus, Ga! We were told this info by a friend who works for Roto Rooter who came out to our home to get an estimate for Great Jones. He said after they came out and reviewed the plumbing issues they called Great Jones and left a message but never got a call back and Great Jones never paid them for coming out. We moved out after a year and was sent a bill for $5,000 in damages even though we didn't damage anything and cleaned the home before we left. We were sent pictures of leaves and a piece of paper saying it damaged the yard and charged $500 for each. A sticker on the wall was said to cost $300 in damages. They wanted to charge us for the mold although the mold was there before we moved in. I am fighting these charges because I refuse to pay $5000 for petty reasons. I would not advise this company to a person's dog! DO NOT RENT FROM GREAT JONES!!!!!!!
Protect yourself from this company who wants nothing but to scam people out of thousands of dollars. We are lucky to have a renters attorney on hand who is making suing them a breeze, but we know not everyone will have that gift. Our attorney says it is the easiest job in the world to form a case against them because all of their documents and rules show that they are oblivious to SC renting laws. Looking forward to seeing them pay the consequences of trying to scam innocent people.
Please believe me when I say that every single 1 star review is absolutely true. Horrible company with the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The entirety of my stay at my rental was marked by negligence. Now that it’s up, they are charging me $3,000 in “damages” — even though we had the house professionally cleaned and left nearly EXACTLY as we found it. My favorite “damage” is a photo they sent of leaves in the yard, citing $500 in landscaping damages. Hahahaha. My attorney has just started combing through their documents so we can sue them and has already found multiple errors where it is obvious they don’t even know what South Carolina law is. Comical! Notable mention: They also have had more turnovers in their staff than any company I’ve ever seen. Every time I email the last person I talked to, it’s a new person answering me and saying “So-and-so is no longer with us, but I’m new and I can help you!” Believe all of the horrible reviews! Run far far away!
I just recently placed a application for one of Great Jones Rental Property in Jacksonville Fl . Nevertheless I have not received an email stated that my application was approved nor denied. The application & $50 for fee was submitted on Feb17th 2022. At this point Greatjones lack of communication & professional left me to believe that they are incompetent, unprofessional & scammers. $50 application fee is costly when you trust that your payment will be credit for the investment of renting a house. Please read the reviews before you invest your money & time for any of their rental property.
Absolutely a scam. They'll do everything possible to give you the runaround, and different employees don't even know of the lie the last employee just told you so they end up with different stories.
I found this house put in my application and then got the bright idea to read the reviews (After). All I can say is I wish I would have read them before. My money & time has been wasted. Every bad review I read it’s something on there I can relate to. They took my application fee and then told me the house was unavailable and here it is six days later and the house is still up on the site showing as available. It’s very hard to get in contact with someone and when you do they contact you near closing time so you can’t ask questions. My experience was horrible and I’ve decided to forget that application fee and Thank God that I have a chance to run and that fifty dollars is all I lost.
