10 months to sort a badly fitted window out 15 visits later finely ok not perfect but will do

We have used EYG twice before and we’re very satisfied. The third time was a complete disaster. Obviously have changed supplier as the frame design and colours have changed. Of the 3 windows and sliding patio doors, 2 of the windows were broken on fitting and the patio door was so badly fitted, the door could not be closed. EYG sent technicians to sort the patio door and it was so far out of true had to be replaced. Replacement arrived and the damaged done taking out the patio door necessitated a further visit to repair plaster work. Door is still not true and is a pain to shut ( ie have to slam it shut to be able to lock it without straining the lock) also there are holes in the corner which we will have to fill with mastic and the internal bottom plinth is badly fitted to the floor so that it could be easily pulled up, but we are so fed up with their attitude can’t be bothered but expect to have several maintenance calls to have it adjusted over the years of the warranty.

When the initial fitting date was cancelled because of Covid, I was sympathetic, but when the next date was cancelled I was angry and was in 2 minds whether to go ahead with the fitting. However, FULL MARKS to both of the lads who did come to fit them, they were terrific, efficient and leaned up after themselves. I am very pleased with the windows.

The communication from the company wasn’t great but the fitters were brilliant. They were friendly and professional. The door looks amazing and just as ordered even though it did take time to arrive due to building shortages.

New small bay PVC window fitted yesterday to the bathroom. Looks really good, well finished, all neat and tidy, both guys cleared everything up afterwards leaving no rubbish about at all. Excellant.

I was disappointed with the workmanship when fitting our door and window and lack of response when I rang up and was promised someone would ring me back but I had to ring up to find out why they didn't come back the next day to finish when I was told it would take a day..We ended up having to wait 10 days to get it finished..

Looking for a new front door , i wanted a composite one in a Chartwell green ( sage colour ) . EYG quoted a reasonable price and i ordered it . The survey was done and the order placed , but that was basically when they went radio silent for about 6 weeks. I had to chase them and found it difficult to get answers . Eventually delivery was arranged and fitting. The guys who came were excellent , clean and thorough and the end result is very pleasing. Product supplied great , but they need to work on their communication skills with the people who employ them , we the customers They would have got 5 stars but for this factor.

We had new windows and doors fitted in 2013. A few minor issues were resolved very quickly. On Friday 27th August 2021 our front door would not unlock. It is our main entrance for a wheelchair user. I rang EYG just after 9am and they sent a service engineer that afternoon who repaired the door. That is service above and beyond.

We have just replaced our old Victorian Conservatory for a new one with a tiled roof. I can only say the installation was carried out by Jon & John in the most professional manner and the finish is spectacular. The fitters were on time daily, easy to approach and very polite and cheerful. I would recommend this company to anybody considering a new or replacement conservatory ¬ The company are not cheap compared with other suppliers, however the finish is worth the money.

New roof in the conservatory. The product was good, and the men who installed it were great. But the administration was appalling. In the quote £450 was included to take down and refit the ceiling fan/light. Within the statutory 14 days we cancelled the electrical work, as we decided that £450 was extortionate. When the bill was presented, the £450 had not been taken off. When we queried this we were only offered £167.50, as this was what they told us was the amount on the detailed account, which we never saw. The remainder was for scaffolding, which was not used. We finally got £430 off the bill. BEWARE.

Truly appalled with this service Will not recommend or use EYG and have reported our experience to trading standards A small garage window was fitted by two men they left two gaping holes in the top and bottom of the beading in the upper left aspect of the top window. They left knowing this and not mentioning it When reported to EYG another man was sent a couple of days later he stated that the beading has been crushed BUT then tried to re-install it We stopped him requested that it should be completely redone and encouraged pictures to be taken and the piece re-measured to fit Two weeks later another man came stating it had seemed as though the job had been completed No pictures had been attached and the measurements taken were incorrect He returned a couple of days later and replaced the beading and altough repaired the gaps on the left NOW left gaps on the right He remeasured and said would return During this time we were twice called by Dan to see if we were satisfied with the completed work. Fully expressed our disgust at the lack of professional expertise ,and reported to him how I had been spoken to by a manager called Paul who stated mistakes happen , what was my problem as it was being corrected and no good will gesture would be offered as he didn’t get involved in unnecessary things such as that. He was most rude and I was appalled Eventually after a six week interval the window was complete and a good will gesture applied. I cannot say the work is perfect Will look elsewhere to replace the windows in our home as no confidence or trust in a company which works in this manner on one small window !!!!

Just want to thank everyone at eyg, for what has been a job very well done. Barry the sales representative guided me and my partner through the design and sales process, also a massive thank you to Paul and Andy who did the installation to a very high standard. We are so pleased with our new windows and how it's transformed our home.

Great service. The crafts persons were very professional. Their was a personal pride in doing a good job. Instead of doing a bodging job on a pre-existing fault it was repaired professionaly. Every thing was done cleanly with minimal disruption. All was explained from first visit,very helpful, and polite. A Big thank you.

We have had the pleasure of Mark and Damien fit new windows and doors to our house and we can not fault their work we are very pleased with the work finish and quality of the product would highly recommend

I have had numerous work done on my property by EYG and I have found that the finish is exceptional good, the only down side is they are very expensive compared with other suppliers

From the initial visit by Fraser to quote for the replacement of our Facias, soffits and guttering , the visit of your surveyors the fitting within the estimated 11 week timeframe everything went according to plan and we were kept informed at all stages. The fitting team of Dave and Regan were excellent in all that they did, were respectful of our property and despite encountering an unforeseen set back , soon solved the problem and finished the work to a very high standard. Very very happy with the outcome and will not hesitate to recommend EYG
