Very pleased with both my doors, very good service and value for the money.

Save yourself the stress and emotional torment - go elsewhere. Job was started 17 May 2021 with 4 days allocated to replace 9 windows, back door, front door and replace a window with double doors. Fitters seemed only interested in being off site by 1430 each day. One window had only half the glass, double doors were damaged (frame and doors) but only noticed AFTER cutting the hole in the house. Door reveals were a botch from the start - looks like the open ends of the wall were dressed with trim panels with a couple of spots of silicone. Another window's glass was broken. After leaving, a long list of faults was discovered and fed back to the Newark office. Assessor came out, agreed job was not up to standard... took some photos and a list. Plasterer came to repair the walls and failed looking exasperated at what he was having to dress. Walls still unfinished around the double doors to this day (14 August 2021). 10 June expected fitters did not show. 12 June, one fitter shows and couldn't understand why he was sent alone for the number of faults needing rectification and allocated only half the day with another job to go to. Fitter listed more faults that he could see with the fitting which we were not aware of (technical). First assessor revisits - agrees new double doors and frame are required and that all the other faults will be fixed - including a piece of glass for the front composite door he claimed would be coming from abroad (remember this). Discovers that the double doors are practically open to the elements hence the draught coming from the gaps in the render applied to the reveal by the "plasterer". Calls later and informs us double doors are ordered and will be in the yard in a week. Having no confidence the windows had been fitted correctly, we asked that an inspection under the outer sealant be made. This was agreed. 3 July - Fitter arrives without double doors. Checks under sealant to discover the windows are held in with a few screws and nothing filling the gaps between frame and wall. Performs same check on back door and finds the same. Declares that all windows are likely "fitted" the same. Again, allocated only the morning. Some foam applied to the window where the sealant had been removed for inspection and the back door was sealed correctly - all that could be achieved. States it will be a 3 day job to rectify all faults and fit new double doors correctly. 7 July General manager comes to visit - agrees job is awful and not up to standard. Agrees that all faults will be rectified as listed including replacement of the double doors and frame. Work arranged to be carried out 16/17 August with the fitters being allowed an additional day if required. Called 13th to see if we could receive fitters the following day instead. Informed they would attend 14/15 - oh, and the double doors were returned faulty and will not be fitted until the replacement is received on Thursday. Solo fitter arrives Saturday 14th unaware he has been promised to work our windows the Sunday too - had his own family commitments and therefore would not be available. Apparently, front door glass still on order - from a supplier 3 miles from the fitter's home. Nothing achieved. CURRENT STATUS 3 MONTHS SINCE JOB START: * 8 x windows incorrectly fitted * 1 x composite door incorrectly fitted with damaged glass * damaged double doors and frame incorrectly fitted with one reveal badly trimmed whilst the other is bare filler currently crumbling and dusting the treadboard - which is the incorrect material and fitted on dabs of silicone causing flexing. * 1 x opener which feels like it may fall from the 1st floor whenever opened. * various other finishing faults, scrapes and scratches. Contact with the office is never forthcoming and they always seem evasive when attempting to call - in a meeting or just "popped out". Feels like they feed the customer with falsehoods and false hope of rectification ever being made. Also sounds like they are less than truthful with the fitters. In summary, we were better off with our tatty old windows and doors - at least we knew what we had, they were fitted correctly and we had walls we could decorate. One star is the minimum allowed.
Very efficient service, and the work has been done to a very high standard. This is the 2nd time we've used EYG and will do so again. The quality looks exceptional and the finished product is very professional. Thank you EYG!!
We are very pleased with the quality of our kitchen window and back door. We particularly like the tilt and turn stable door. Excellent for extra ventilation in the kitchen without having the back door open. The fitters were polite, efficient, careful and cleaned up after themselves. Like many other employees we have met they had worked for EYG for a long time. This speaks volumes to us! EYG fitted our conservatory, which we love,so we had no hesitation in contacting them to replace our back window and door. We were not disappointed!
From beginning to end of process, we had no issues, Gyles Lawton was excellent during the purchase of the windows and kept us up to date with all that was happening, couldn’t do enough when had to contact him. The two guys that came to fit the windows we can not fault either, never stopped working even when it started to rain
Don’t deal with E.Y. Double glazing. Nothing but problems. We have been chasing them for everything, was for a new front door and surround. When the surveyor eventually came , he had no idea he was suppose to come 2 months earlier. Then at last minute they told us after we contacted them again, they couldn’t get the glass, JUST stopped dealing with the glazier the day before. !! .When we eventually got our deposit back ,after ringing and visiting the showroom, the cheque they gave us was post dated by 7 days. Apparently they can’t do bank transfers. The person who wrote the cheque made a mistake, the two people that signed it were not checking what they were signing for. Or maybe just making it awkward for the customer, that is us. DONT DEAL WITH THEM
The front windows were fitted with no problem. The bathroom window was fitted the next day with a large crack in it. I then had to wait for three weeks to get it replaced. When this was fitted the the beading was not secured into place. It took a further 3 weeks to get any communication with the company, I ended up having to contact the salesman to see what he could do. Finally had contact and had to wait a further 2 weeks to someone to come and knock the beading in. I said I would not use EYG after they fitted a bedroom window with an unserviceable opening handle, this took 3 months to sort out. I have learnt my lesson and will not be using them again and will not be recommending them either,
There were problems, but these were dealt with very professionally, and the end result is fantastic. The last fitting team, Kaj and Neil were outstanding in every detail, without complaint and to the highest of standards they put right all the problems that had been left by previous teams. The windows and doors look excellent and finished beautifully. Thank you to Martin and his team.
friendly heard workers made a good job
Not a very good experience, rude fitter and extremely untidy leaving nails, screws and bits of plastic everywhere. They left my neighbours carport in a disgusting state and I spent 2 hours cleaning it.they were supposed to board out my flat roof before work began but didn't bother, when I asked why it wasn't the fitter said its not his problem. The work quality was good but everything else was not, won't be recommending this company to anyone
Happy with work completed and the product
The guys turned up and got started straight away. They didn't stop until the job was finished. They even sorted out my black out blind on the bedroom window that I wasn't able to remove. Extremely pleased with the fitters, so careful and cleaned up after themselves. The new window sills are excellent, gives me a bit more space for plants, and "no painting", just a quick wipe down. The price was good and I would have no hesitation in recommending their services. I'm glad I spoke to my friend for the original recommendation as she was happy with the quality, price and service given. Thank you so much.
The guys who came to fit our door we very professional they cleaned up any mess they made and worked continually until the door was completed they also cleaned the side window and door .
Jon and John plus electrician and plasterer did a fantastic job, Ian, Installations Manager, kept us informed throughout and it was a seamless installation. I would highly recommend!!
We are very happy with the installation, man done a good job. We have been waiting for this door for months, this was due to material shortages from Europe, I know most Building Suppliers are in the same position . The workman was tidy and left a good job, so a big Thank you to him. workman left a clean finish and was careful wi
I had a hybrid roof fitted on to my conservatory and the workmanship was a high standard, the tradesmen were very polite, would highly recommend the company.
We ordered our new conservatory 15th January 21 and it’s was not completed until June 21, to say this took a long time is an understatement. The first part of the build went well and to plan, the electrician arrived as programmed on 29th April 21 the same morning the glazing fitters was due to start the roof and window installation the electrician managed to damage one of the brick pillars and left without advising anyone of the damage. When the window fitters arrived an hour or so later they advised the installation couldn’t be carried out due to the damaged brick work, we was then advised the install would need to be delayed due to the damage and would have to fit in with other installations due to the amount of work load EYG had booked in. The brickwork was repaired on 7th May 21 and advised the revised installation date would be 14th June 21, After much discussion with the Newark office the installation was rearranged for 17th May 21. The plastering then followed soon after along with the floor levelling which the floor had to be done 3 times and still wasn’t acceptable to lay a floor covering on. It was agreed with the Newark manager that I should get the floor levelled and the cost would be paid by EYG, this was alll agreed and eventually all works was completed and I had a meeting with the Newark manager on 8th July 21 to sign off the installation and it was agreed we would receive a cheque for £355.00 to cover the cost of the floor and a small compensation for our troubles during the long build. We still haven’t received any cheque from EYG dispute chasing this up with the newark manager. To say we’re unhappy is an understatement considering the cost of the conservatory and the very poor management during the build. Just one other thing the electrician that was used is by far the most untidy and ignorant trades man I’ve ever come across, I don’t say this lightly as I’m also in the construction industry and deal with contractors on a daily basis. Also despite being told by the sales man (Fraser Collingham) in January to contact him anytime if there was any problems, I called Fraser several times and sent messages only to be ignored. So much for after sales service!! Please feel free to contact me by phone or email. Disappointed D Fearn
This company is the worst I Have had to deal with first of gave a date they would come then canceled come week later fitted bifold doors and roof light fitted said glass had crack in needed replacing hard to lock rubber keeps coming out no keys Roof light fitted not finished of inside very expensive for fitting took two hours yet say it's our job to finish of Spoke to god's know how many different people to sort it must be three months ago sending theatering email to pay outstanding balance but no sign of saying to when it Will be finished
Top quality products installed by an excellent team of professionals. Thank you EYG
Jon & John recently fitted our new 'slate' conservatory roof. They were really understanding at our limited space to store things out of the way of their work and happily helped us move things whilst also leaving what the could manage to work around. Super friendly and fast working... As long as we kept them topped up with cups of tea 😉 We are thrilled with our new roof! They've done an amazing job! Cannot Thank you Jon & John @eyg enough! Looking forward to having our front window and door replaced too!
