EYG Home Improvements

This is the second time we agreed for EYG to complete some home improvements to our home and it is with a mixed review for overall service and quality. The initial discount offered for loyalty, looked reasonable. However after an issue with our order EYG were not able to fulfil the order, even after the surveyor completed his visit and agreed the work. A new order was place for a different, less glazed door and the price proved not to be that great a deal in the end but still competitive to other suppliers. Due to the change in the order, which was not of our doing, this delayed the fitting schedule significantly and communication was poor throughout. We received many phone calls from the company enquiring if we were happy with the work completed before the door had even been fitted. Eventually when the door was fitted; we were very satisfied with the completed work. The fitters were very knowledgeable, experienced and professional with respect for both our family and property.

Very good service and discussion of our needs (patio doors). The installation was quick and easy and in freezing conditions! I did, however, feel that the build quality of the doors could have been better in that the mitre joints did not fit well with gaps between some of them. This means I would shop around next time for better quality.

Bob and Chris from EYG fitted 2 windows and cutt out and installed a juliet balcony.... patched up the plaster work,replaced skirting.sealed all.... We found Chris and Bob to be punctual ,very respectful of our home and Us as owners. The job was completed in the allocated time ,they cleaned up as they went along and we are very very pleased with the standard of the job done.... i would not hesitate to use EYG again in the future, in fact we have a;ready made another order to be done in Feb , March... We would definately ask if bob and chris were available...

Despite the lengthy delay between ordering and fitting, the whole operation went smoothly other than one of the panes was cracked and still needs to be replaced. The fitters were efficient and courteous. Would recommend.

We have used EYG before and thought we had found a decent company however our last experience with them was very disappointing and I would never recommend them. Very poor workmanship from the fitter that originally came.We were left with a bathroom window that didn’t open,a back door that was incorrectly fitted and didn’t shut properly or lock,an outer windowsill that was cut short,a damaged lower door panel.I could go on but I won’t have enough room. It took over a month for these problems to be sorted out thank goodness for Kevin the trouble shooting fitter he sorted out the total chaos that we had been left in. The management at EYG really need a shake up,the standard of the fitters is poor,and the company director refuses to take any calls after all we are only the customer!!! Poor business practice.

Too many promises unfulfilled, great staff! Initial contact was good, very friendly and professional, but promises were made of fitting within a short period of time, that contact would be made soon etc, when it wasn't I had to chase, the company wasn't interested in keeping contact once they had the deposit. The doors were fitted very professionally, but the measuring had been wrong, so had to be done again. Once again, there was on contact from the company, I had to chase them for this to happen, the fitter did it brilliantly. Of course, payment was demanded very quickly.... The company does a great job but needs to learn to communicate with customers and look after them.

Fitter arrived alone as they'd received a message that colleague wasn't coming to work. Fitted patio door and window in worsening weather conditions and we felt rushed to finish. After they left we discovered neither was in straight. To EYG's credit they sent an engineer out, delayed by Christmas, who refitted them to our satisfaction.

We have recently replaced all windows and doors with EYG. The installation and after sales have been first rate, nothing was too much trouble. During the installation any issues were resolved without question, the installation team explained everything before the start and during the work so we were fully aware of the process. After installation we needed some slight adjustments made which were done by the service team, again without issue. Extremely happy with the finished result and the service we received. Would strongly recommend EYG.

Would use again and definitely recommend They have a great variety of styles and colours available and will customise products to your preferences. Just be aware that due to me mixing and matching styles and colours, Covid related issues meant I was waiting around 6 months for my new door. However staff kept in touch to inform me of where they were in the process and once the door was ready they arranged an installation date really quickly. Their contact system is very efficient and any queries/questions were responded to within a few hours. I'm really happy with the installation and quality of the product, the only thing it needed was some additional sealant round the letterbox. The workmen maintained a safe distance and tidied up after themselves. I'd use the company again and would definitely recommend.

Awful at communication. Not once did they contact me first and they ‘forgot’ to arrange to install my order despite having paid a substantial deposit. Took 9 calls to finally get hold of someone on one particular occasion when I’d finally had enough of never hearing anything despite over two months lapsing since sale/deposit. I literally had to beg and chase for the survey to be done which was done by a lovely man, even if an age after the deposit. The only truly bright point of the whole experience was the fitters, Paul and Carl, as well as the builder John and the fitters who didn’t give me their names but installed the final front door panel this morning (EYG hadn’t made it when the majority of the windows and other doors got installed despite the rest of the order being ready!). They were incredibly professional, quick, polite and helpful with far better communication than any of the other areas of the company. The fitters and the surveyor are literally the only part of EYG that I would actually recommend and give 5 stars to, and it is solely because of them that this isn’t a one star review. Treasure your fitters and surveyors EYG.
