We've used Elsevier for institutional access for over 5 years. The database is comprehensive and search tools are powerful. Occasional downtime during peak hours but overall very dependable service.

While the final publication quality is excellent, the manuscript submission system feels outdated compared to competitors. Multiple file uploads often fail and formatting requirements are overly complex. The peer review quality makes up for these technical issues though.

Solid platform with extensive journal coverage. Some journals have very long review cycles which can be frustrating when you're trying to meet deadlines. Content quality is consistently high.
