Ecoplex Energy is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
The company are extremely frustrating to deal with with poor customer service. Calls not going through and not answering emails. Called out to install but short cable and no reinstallation date. I'm at the stage I'm looking to cancel and get deposit back.
Zero customer service when things went wrong, which they did. Instillation delayed and then didn't turn up on day of installation. Once system was installed, it wasn't working, they insisted it was until I paid for an independent electrician to come and confirm that it wasn't working. Unable to get on the phone despite many attempts. They didn't submit the NC6 form for over a month AFTER installation, after I had to remind them. So many emails just ignored, staff were rude when they did respond. Had to pay for a second time for an electrician to come and fix work they said was fine.
Fantastic Service & Products, 2 week turn around from survey and quote now up and running. From the outset the guys were top notch, Professional, knoweldagable, and friendly. We were so happy with the price also Ecoplex don't charge you the €1800 from SEAI they chase all all that up for you, so no chasing the SEAI for your grant. The guys on site we're excellent from Roofers to the Electricians and great communication from head office. All in all a great experience with a price to match.
Had Solar panels with storage battery and Eddy (water heating system) included. Excellent service, workmen were polite and tidied up after themselves also. Had a few teething problems at first, and even though we are in Wexford, someone was sent down as quickly as possible. We are now reaping the awards, happy days. I’d have no hesitation in recommending this company.

I initially would have given them a 4 or even 5 star for the installation, but the aftercare has been miserable. System installed last May so only in the winter did things get interesting. System wasn't setup to charge at night on the lowest rate. I enquired and was sent a you tube video of some random guy doing a DIY on the inverter settings. Anyway I got it working eventually but my bills were coming in very high and certainly not tallying with what the Solis app was telling me. So after eventually getting them to send an engineer down to take a look (he agreed with me that the system was pulling from the grid when it should be pulling from the batteries) I thought good now they can see and will get it sorted. Not so. Numerous emails since, with the poor tech support guy who could only keep passing it on to his supervisor, and then with another tech operator who got Solis to "upgrade the firmware", I'm still in the same position. I've sent on screen shots showing the system pulling from the grid when the batteries have loads of capacity and I'm generating electricity. Crazy. The engineer has now stopped replying to me. This has been going on for months now. There doesn't seem to be anyone in charge at Ecoplex. No accountability.

Generally speaking, we have had a very good experience with the Ecoplex teams who installed our solar panels. Dennis and his team of roofers were fast and efficient. They were extremely professional and courteous checking with us regarding placement of solar panels as they were installed. The electrician team arrived the following week to finalise the installation but unfortunately hung the fuse board in such a way that the door to that room cannot be closed…waiting on a call to schedule this refit. I would echo a previous reviewer’s comment that perhaps a better clean-up following the installation is the only point for improvement

Avoid Ecoplex at all costs. Our experience has been nothing short of a disaster — over 10 incorrect quotes, an 8.7kW Huawei system installed without optimisers (so it didn’t even work!), and when we raised the issue, they demanded more money. They sent us someone else’s invoice, refused to issue ours, wired the system into the wrong fuse board, no-showed on numerous appointments, and even blocked our number when we called to follow up. We’ve emailed asking for a resolution and received no reply. Issued the incorrect paperwork to SEAI so now we can’t even claim the grant we are entitled to. Massively underperforming system, zero accountability. Absolute cowboys. Do yourself a favour — steer clear.

I install solar panels with EcoPlex in March this year. My overall experience was excellent, very professional, quick there to explain everything if you have any doubts. I personally want to thank Amina she was there for us all the way, always available for all our questions. She is very professional in conversation, every email was answered in quickest possible way. Great experience with the electricians and installers. Full recommendation for instalation.

Denis and the panel installation team were very helpful and efficient. Also very professional . They did a good job. I just hope we have no leaks in our roof where the holes were drilled 🤞 We decided during installation that we might install extra panels but I couldn’t make contact with the sales rep for pricing. Called the office but still no sales rep returned my call - we didn’t proceed with extra panels… Also the number of panels the sales rep suggested would fit on our roof was inaccurate as when the fitters arrived they showed us we could fit many more…looks like mock up in sales talk is inaccurate. Electrical team arrived but inverter was out of stock so they must revisit - no estimate timeline given. Electrical team left quite a mess for us to tidy up in side passage - may I suggest in future houses they sweep up before leaving.

Recommended Ecoplex by a neighbour. Got several quotes from solar suppliers but these guys had by far the most competitive offering. Bence the salesperson was highly knowledgeable and made good recommendations after listening to our needs. Conor and Chem, the roofers, and Paddy and the rest of the electrical team, all did a fantastic job, tidy, quick, and safe. Admin side of things was really easy too, very glad we went with them, system is working great now.
