We hide A Renault small SUV for four days in it done approximately 4000 K, so was in good condition. The only annoying factor was a rattle in the drivers door. The service at the counter was good and fast as was the shuttle to the airport The right was okay cheaper than most but like everything these days too expensive. The only other negative comment that I would make is that their shuttle service only goes between their base and the airport. They don’t pick up or drop off at hotels. I know a lot of higher car companies only do that these days but Some will do the hotel pick up and return.
Best rental company in Melbourne
I have been using ECCR every time I travel to Melbourne. The experience was always great on the previous occasions and this time was no exception. Staff were friendly and quick and we got our two cars within 20 minutes. As we chose zero liability the staff did not even go through the cars with us and told us to just drive off. Returning was a breeze also. Just handed the keys to a guy after we parked and all good.
East Coast Cars is a great service and I'll use them again.
I've never used East Coast Cars before and so it was a gamble. I couldn't have been happier. From the pick up at the aiport to collection of the car, and then drop off and lift back 6 days later, I couldn't rate it highly enough. We ended up with what I think is a better car than I had booked (Mitsubishi ASX instead of a MG ZS). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, with clear communication on how to find the pick up point at the airport and also the drop off procedure. It was a great price for a great service and I will definitely use them again.

Date on car seats are missing
The pick-up and return to the airport was quick and efficient. The check-in took some time. First they couldnt find the right booking and then they had fforgotten the carseats for the children. The date on the car seats installed was removed so you couldt see how old the car seats were. According to the manufacturer they are not allowed to be more than 8 years and he only way to tell is the date on the seats. This is not very safe for parents. Great value and good cars. Booked through the entertainment book and got a good discount there.

Each time easy to pickUP & dropOFF. Easy to check IN with passport & drivers licence in advance. I rented 3 times in January 2025. In Melbourne 2x & in Launceston (Tasmania). I took full insuranse. 0$ excess.

Excellent service !! From the moment l was picked up from the airport ( l clearly couldn’t follow instructions to pickup point and got lost ) however the pickup driver rang called me and kindly guided me to the correct pick up point . Thank you ! The girls in reception were amazing and so friendly both on pick up and drop off , car was great and such competitive prices. Thoroughly recommend and I’ll be back 😊

Great Car, Amazing Customer Service, Would Recommend.
I arrived after a 25 hour flight to collect my pre-booked hire car. The service was amazing. From landing I received a message to let them know when I was at the airport. A transfer bus arrived and helped with my luggage and took me to the car hire place. The gentleman dealing with my booking took time to explain everything, very friendly and helpful. My initial car had a SatNav related issue, so they upgraded me without fuss. On drop off, they inspected the vehicle, and I was ready to head back to the airport. A frictionless and seamless transaction. Great customer service, friendly transfer to the airport. The car was reliable, amazing and very happy as I travelled Kangaroo Island. Definitely recommend and thank you to the gentleman that went the extra mile to help a very tired and weary traveller.

So good, I booked again!
The pick-up and return to the airport was quick and efficient. The check-in again was fast and efficient. Great value and good cars - got an upgrade on my first visit. Re-booked with ECCR when I returned to Melbourne - only minor criticism, I had to wait 30 minutes for the car to be prepared on my second visit.

The car was prepared according to my wishes. The vehicle handover itself was carried out with the appropriate level of professionalism. My request to shorten the rental period by one day was granted free of charge. When returning the car, everything went quickly and without any problems.
