We hired a Renault small SUV for four…

We hide A Renault small SUV for four days in it done approximately 4000 K, so was in good condition. The only annoying factor was a rattle in the drivers door. The service at the counter was good and fast as was the shuttle to the airport The right was okay cheaper than most but like everything these days too expensive. The only other negative comment that I would make is that their shuttle service only goes between their base and the airport. They don’t pick up or drop off at hotels. I know a lot of higher car companies only do that these days but Some will do the hotel pick up and return.

Best rental company in Melbourne

I have been using ECCR every time I travel to Melbourne. The experience was always great on the previous occasions and this time was no exception. Staff were friendly and quick and we got our two cars within 20 minutes. As we chose zero liability the staff did not even go through the cars with us and told us to just drive off. Returning was a breeze also. Just handed the keys to a guy after we parked and all good.

East Coast Cars is a great service and I'll use them again.

I've never used East Coast Cars before and so it was a gamble. I couldn't have been happier. From the pick up at the aiport to collection of the car, and then drop off and lift back 6 days later, I couldn't rate it highly enough. We ended up with what I think is a better car than I had booked (Mitsubishi ASX instead of a MG ZS). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, with clear communication on how to find the pick up point at the airport and also the drop off procedure. It was a great price for a great service and I will definitely use them again.

All lovely holidaywent to plan on our holiday

Exceptional Service

What a great experience from East Coast Car Rentals. We would definitely use them again. Firstly, the welcome was warm and friendly. Secondly, our travel agent had completely ballsed up our booking and booked it for next year, so when we arrived we have no car waiting for us. The team were patient and supportive whilst we spend hours on the phone to our travel agent and car rental broker and did everything they could to try and help us. Eventually, we found a solution and Eastcoast found us a car. The car was in excellent order, we had no issues with any paperwork or process and when we returned the car, we were directly invited into a shuttle bus and transported back to the airport. The whole process was a delight, the staff were warm and friendly and everything was simple and clear.

Hired a car in January 2025

Hired a car in January 2025 - easy pick up without normal delay - transfer from and to airport great. When we dropped off car they said stay in and took us straight to airport in the hire car. Staff efficient, car clean and photos taken and sent prior to leaving yard. Highly recommend

Great customer experience

Booked through an agent for thsi hire but east coast were the guys we got the car from. Super friendly people to deal with on pick up. When I returned the car (polestar electric) it was on 87% full. The lady was pleasantly amused and said they don’t mind you bringing it back with less than half( the company we booked thru had 80% as the minimum). We had a good chat while she looked over the car, and I went to wait for our shuttle back to the airport. Another agent came out to give me a $30 refund on account of the electricity I had put back in the car. A really nice offer. They also got another staff member to drop us back to the terminal in one of their rentals, as the bus had just left and wouldn’t be back for 8-10 minutes or so. Another friendly guy to deal with on the way back. All in all, they were brilliant to deal with and would 100% use them again.

Good cars, good price

We used East Coast car rental in both Adelaide and Melbourne. For both places, two important factors determined our choice - location and price. For Adelaide, we wanted somewhere close to the Adelaide Parkland Terminal as we were on the Great Southern and then catching The Overland. In Melbourne I wanted a city pick up and drop off at the airport. It ended up being perfect. Cars were less than two years old both times.

The customer service

The customer service. They were able to find me car the day I needed it. Life-savers. They were patient even though I was a little flustered at how to go about booking face to face. Recommend to all.

Only gave one star as rental car was…

Only gave one star as rental car was cancelled as we flew into Hobart. Left us with an expensive Uber as an option and now carless. Complete disregard for customer .
