We hide A Renault small SUV for four days in it done approximately 4000 K, so was in good condition. The only annoying factor was a rattle in the drivers door. The service at the counter was good and fast as was the shuttle to the airport The right was okay cheaper than most but like everything these days too expensive. The only other negative comment that I would make is that their shuttle service only goes between their base and the airport. They don’t pick up or drop off at hotels. I know a lot of higher car companies only do that these days but Some will do the hotel pick up and return.
Best rental company in Melbourne
I have been using ECCR every time I travel to Melbourne. The experience was always great on the previous occasions and this time was no exception. Staff were friendly and quick and we got our two cars within 20 minutes. As we chose zero liability the staff did not even go through the cars with us and told us to just drive off. Returning was a breeze also. Just handed the keys to a guy after we parked and all good.
East Coast Cars is a great service and I'll use them again.
I've never used East Coast Cars before and so it was a gamble. I couldn't have been happier. From the pick up at the aiport to collection of the car, and then drop off and lift back 6 days later, I couldn't rate it highly enough. We ended up with what I think is a better car than I had booked (Mitsubishi ASX instead of a MG ZS). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, with clear communication on how to find the pick up point at the airport and also the drop off procedure. It was a great price for a great service and I will definitely use them again.

Great Experience
This was our second time using East Coast, and once again, it was a really good experience. The Brisbane Airport shuttle was easy to locate and fast, and the staff at the depot were friendly and efficient. The car provided was in excellent condition, and their rates are very competitive. Highly recommended!

Efficient and good valve
Fast, friendly, efficient service. Good price. All the staff I encountered were friendly and answered all queries. Photos of the car taken before and after rental by staff and sent to email. Smooth, timely transfer to airport. One of the easiest car rental experiences I have had.

Avoid Getting Extras
Our experience with East Coast Car Rentals was frustrating and disappointing. Initially, we had no plans to buy insurance since we’ve been driving in Australia for years without issues. However, the staff member was extremely pushy, using fear tactics and aggressive upselling to pressure us. Despite repeatedly declining, we eventually gave in and purchased a $123 insurance package we didn’t need. To make matters worse, he added the $174 full coverage to eftpos of the $123 option we asked for, which felt deceptive and manipulative. East Coast Car Rentals should train their staff to respect customer choices and stop using unethical sales tactics. Avoid this company. 1/5 stars.

Efficient company…
Very easy pick up from Cairns airport to the car rental office . Car was waiting . Staff very friendly. Only downside was that they doubled what I was quoted because they added a 1500 dollars one way charge . I only noticed this after I left the office. However I contacted the central office online and the money was refunded almost immediately. So I was very happy. The car was newish, in good condition . We had it for 24 days with absolutely no problems. So a good company but check your bill for anything added to the confirmed quotation.

Competitive pricing with good range of vehicles and the Hyundai Tucson I was given was a 2023 model in very clean condition providing 7 days of comfortable trouble free driving around the top end of Tasmania. I will say that my original quote was for a Mazda CX5 but when booking was told that all those vehicles were hired and I would get a Mitsubishi Outlander and this was available if I could wait for it to be cleaned or as another alternative I could take the Hyundai which we agreed. That said, each of these vehicles were acceptable so not a problem. The booking process, staff and shuttle were seamless and very easy to navigate. would definitely recommend and use ECCR again.
