We hide A Renault small SUV for four days in it done approximately 4000 K, so was in good condition. The only annoying factor was a rattle in the drivers door. The service at the counter was good and fast as was the shuttle to the airport The right was okay cheaper than most but like everything these days too expensive. The only other negative comment that I would make is that their shuttle service only goes between their base and the airport. They don’t pick up or drop off at hotels. I know a lot of higher car companies only do that these days but Some will do the hotel pick up and return.
Best rental company in Melbourne
I have been using ECCR every time I travel to Melbourne. The experience was always great on the previous occasions and this time was no exception. Staff were friendly and quick and we got our two cars within 20 minutes. As we chose zero liability the staff did not even go through the cars with us and told us to just drive off. Returning was a breeze also. Just handed the keys to a guy after we parked and all good.
East Coast Cars is a great service and I'll use them again.
I've never used East Coast Cars before and so it was a gamble. I couldn't have been happier. From the pick up at the aiport to collection of the car, and then drop off and lift back 6 days later, I couldn't rate it highly enough. We ended up with what I think is a better car than I had booked (Mitsubishi ASX instead of a MG ZS). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, with clear communication on how to find the pick up point at the airport and also the drop off procedure. It was a great price for a great service and I will definitely use them again.

Very easy to collect and return the…
Very easy to collect and return the car. The shuttle service from the airport was very easy to arrange and the shuttle bus arrived very quickly. The car was almost new and, being automatic, was ideal for driving on unfamiliar roads.

This is our second trip to Hobart this…
This is our second trip to Hobart this year and using ECCR. Very friendly staff. Excellent courtesy bus pick up and drop off with friendly drivers. We will certainly hire again with ECCR on our next holiday. Good value compared to other car rental companies I researched.

NEVER AGAIN!
The pickup from the airport was flawless, but when we get to the office we were strongly advised to buy an extra insurance of AUD 169. I told him we had everything covered because I bought an all-in insurance in our home country, but he kept saying that we were not covered unless we bought an insurance at EastCoastCar Rental. Even if a small stone hit our car and caused a little damage over 2 mm, we had to pay ( he even showed us a ruler with the allowed damage of 1 mm). We drove away without the extra insurance, but we had such a bad feeling while driving this car, it ruined our 4 days in Brisbane. EastCoastCar Rental: NEVER AGAIN!

Great Experience
Great communication. Pick up was very prompt and the person we spoke with upon our arrival at Brisbane Airport directed us straight to the pick up point. One of the few rentals that allowed us to pick up at Brisbane airport and return the vehicle to Melbourne airport. They were very quick to find a replacement car when we weren't happy with the original one which was fairly new with leather interior. Nothing serious just some squeaking noises that we could not put up with for our 2 month rental. The car they were able to provide at short notice was most acceptable. Our drop off was very efficient - and a minibus was available there and then to take us to the Airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff were excellent
The staff were excellent. The service was excellent. The only issue was that there was no return service to the airport as we left Melbourne early morning and the service started after the time that we needed to be at the airport. It was fortunate that we found this out in advance and could make provisions. Apart from that issue, would happily recommend.

Good experience overall but..
I had booked East coast rentals through booking.com. The car was amazing for the 6 days I used it and at a really good price. There was one thing that did slightly annoy me which was one staff member when picking up the car. I had bought full protection insurance prior to picking up the car via booking.com and had proof of purchase. Then I picked up the car the staff member was throwing numbers at me trying to make me take out extra insurance and it felt like a lot of pressure, as if the car insurance I bought wasn’t enough even though it was and they just wanted me to get it with them. After reading some reviews I saw that they’re on commission so I thought that was a little sneaky, was wary about the $1000 deposit but it was back in my account the same day I dropped the car off so that made me feel a lot better. Would go with them again and recommend them but they need to be better when it comes to insurance
