We hide A Renault small SUV for four days in it done approximately 4000 K, so was in good condition. The only annoying factor was a rattle in the drivers door. The service at the counter was good and fast as was the shuttle to the airport The right was okay cheaper than most but like everything these days too expensive. The only other negative comment that I would make is that their shuttle service only goes between their base and the airport. They don’t pick up or drop off at hotels. I know a lot of higher car companies only do that these days but Some will do the hotel pick up and return.
I have been using ECCR every time I travel to Melbourne. The experience was always great on the previous occasions and this time was no exception. Staff were friendly and quick and we got our two cars within 20 minutes. As we chose zero liability the staff did not even go through the cars with us and told us to just drive off. Returning was a breeze also. Just handed the keys to a guy after we parked and all good.
I've never used East Coast Cars before and so it was a gamble. I couldn't have been happier. From the pick up at the aiport to collection of the car, and then drop off and lift back 6 days later, I couldn't rate it highly enough. We ended up with what I think is a better car than I had booked (Mitsubishi ASX instead of a MG ZS). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, with clear communication on how to find the pick up point at the airport and also the drop off procedure. It was a great price for a great service and I will definitely use them again.

Car as requested. No hard sale for additional insurance. Great reception team and quick transfer and book in. Hired car for nearly 5 weeks and no issues. Certainly would recommend the company and would use again.

Great service, but feel it’s better to book direct rather than a 3rd party. Even tho we had paid for full insurance with Bookings.com, we were told the excess was so much more than if we had just booked direct. Ended up paying an excess waiver with them. Also car had window screen crack, we changed it and upgraded car.

Great service - shuttle from the airport took 5 mins. Promptly given immaculate car with great AC, which was essential in Cairns. Drop off and returned by shuttle to airport. Quick no waiting around !!!

I booked a rental through Booking.com and paid the full amount of $1,188 for 23 days. However, the East coast car rentals refused to provide the car or issue a refund because I returned the previous car 3–4 days late. Booking.com also stated that a refund is not possible. 13.01.2025 Thank you for your response. I would like to address a concern regarding the inconsistency in your actions. After I returned the vehicle, I was informed that I had been blacklisted in your system, and you refused to honor a booking made via Booking.com. However, a few days later, I made a booking directly through your website, and a vehicle was provided to me without issue. This discrepancy raises questions about the application of your policies. Could you please clarify how such an inconsistency occurred and provide an explanation for the differing treatment of bookings? 17.01.2025 Thank you for getting back to me. I really appreciate that you provided the car again with a $500 deposit when I booked directly through your website. However, I feel the same approach should have been taken when I booked through Booking.com. As someone who’s been a customer for a long time, losing $1,188 feels really unfair. Don’t you think this could have been handled better?
