Just purchased the vehicle 4 months ago. Since then the change oil light came on. Thinking they might have just not reset it. I placed a phone call to drive time to see if they changed the oil and they told me that was proprietary information. They left a lock on my spare tire and did not provide the key had to tire on freeway and had to pay extra. 3 months later I had to purchase a new battery and now the transmission has failed and needs $2000.00 to repair. Called drive time to see if they would help and they said sorry should have purchased an extend service contract for $4000.00 which I could not afford. I am a disabled veteran on a limited income. Now I am forced to return truck because I don’t have the money and ruin my credit.

The world should buy their cars from Danielle. She did everything that I wanted to help me find the right car and get the financing done quick and easy. Youtube videos about how to buy a used car were nothing like my experience. It was like buying a car from a friend. I felt that she was very honest and truly wanted to help me get the car. The car is perfect. It looks like new and was at a great price. The credit and down payment process was very smooth. No surprises and no pressure. All of my questions were answered. To Whom It May Concern, I recently purchased a vehicle from DriveTime, and while my initial sales experience was positive, my overall journey has been profoundly disappointing and frustrating. The sales process was smooth, and I appreciated the courteous and accommodating demeanor of your team, especially as I traveled from out of state to complete the purchase. However, concerns emerged during the test drive when I noticed a howling noise, vibrations likely caused by a failing wheel bearing, and a non-functioning front passenger window. Despite these red flags, I placed my trust in the process, believing the vehicle had been properly inspected and was safe to drive. Unfortunately, my trust has since been severely broken. Within two months--and after driving the vehicle for only one week--I have had to replace the transmission, a wheel bearing, a window switch, an air flow sensor, and all four tires. After replacing the tires, I was informed by the alignment technician that the rims were severely damaged, causing significant safety issues that should have been disclosed before the sale. This situation could have endangered my family, as I transport my children daily in this vehicle. Seeking a resolution, I reached out to DriveTime's Missouri location, where Area Manager Katie courteously referred me to Customer Relations. However, my interactions with representatives Essence and Raul left me feeling dismissed, unheard, and frustrated. Despite enduring over $12,000 in repairs to address issues present from the start, I was told no assistance would be provided. Instead, I received what felt like a generic, automated response designed to appear empathetic but ultimately hollow in substance. After being directed back to Consumer Relations--where the cycle repeated--it became painfully clear that DriveTime's post-sale support lacks genuine care and meaningful solutions. As a customer, I had expected better. The common wisdom of "the customer is always right" once guided businesses toward fairness and satisfaction. Sadly, this principle seems lost in my experience. Without a significant change in approach, I worry that a truly tragic incident will be required before lessons are learned about prioritizing customer safety and well-being. I recognize that not every vehicle will be perfect, and I do not intend to discredit DriveTime as a whole. There are undoubtedly good vehicles on your lots, and I appreciated my initial positive sales experience. However, my case exposes critical gaps in inspection standards, warranty policies, and post-sale service that leave customers vulnerable to unsafe conditions and financial strain. I trusted DriveTime, and that trust has cost me dearly. I am requesting a comprehensive, compassionate review of my situation and a resolution that aligns with the fairness, transparency, and integrity I expected from your company.
The car is great the people you works there were very friendly and professional I would recommend anyone who’s looking for a car to shop there. The only thing I have a problem with is the interest rate why the price is so high for my vehicle

Drivetime was a terrible experience after 3 days of buying the car it was going bad on me cutting on off and when I tried to swap the car they ended up taking the car back from me saying they wasn’t supposed to sell me a car nd took $700 of my down payments they are a big scam I don’t recommend anyone to go to drivetime I hate drivetime and will never ever try buying with them again they don’t deserve any stars
I should have known better than to believe the pre approval "see your terms"! Took off work early and drove a hour and a half just to be told i had to have co signer. The website said I was approved on any car, but nothing about a cosigner. The sales lady was not very helpful at all. Very, Very disappointed!
