So patient, supportive and understanding
We had cause to use DLG Legal Services Ltd, who were appointed to represent us, by our home insurer, to handle a personal injury claim on our behalf, with a view to obtaining suitable compensation. Contact was made in Oct 23 and the matter finalised and compensation received on 4th March. Our Litigator was Agnieszka Chambers, who’s service we could not fault on any level. Thank you Aggie. Based on our experience, we would recommend this practice.

The first 3 years of my experience with DLG were not good. Reasonable progress was made initially and the case handler was courteous and helpful when I spoke to him on the phone. He did move things forwards although I now realise his experience was limited in relation to the complexity of the case and the monthly updates didn’t happen so I had to take responsibility for finding out what was going on and chasing up actions. Everything took FAR longer than it should have done and a whole year was lost because the case needed to be moved to the multi-track team but they were too busy to take it on! Given that I was struggling with health issues from a car crash, the whole experience was extremely frustrating and exhausting. Finally, I reached the end of my tether and wrote a letter saying I was going to make a formal complaint about the unacceptable delays. It wasn’t answered but not long after that a senior solicitor was allocated to the case. Over the next 2 years, Irfan Khan’s professional experience and conscientious approach increasingly turned the situation around. His willingness to go the extra mile was a game changer and my confidence in his grasp of what was – and what was not – required grew steadily as the months passed. He appointed Tim Found, a first-rate barrister who understood what I was going through and gave excellent advice. I came to trust Irfan and Tim completely throughout the remainder of the legal process including the trial which successfully resolved the case, 5 whole years after the accident happened! I wouldn’t recommend DLG Legal Services as a company but I highly recommend Irfan Khan and Tim Found as extremely capable, caring, skillful professionals, and I remain extremely grateful to them both.

I have recently been in a car accident. I called up to find out what is happening with my claim. I spoke to a gentleman called Scott Newton who was very helpful and explained to me the process and the timeliness and the time the process takes. Which was very helpful. He was very polite and answered all my questions. He then explained the next steps. I was very grateful and felt more relaxed and confident after the phone call as I have no prior experience in an accident before. So thank you Scott
Very trivial case. Third party hit my car admitted fault, so no dispute. And for DLG is a case for over 2 years so far. Now their Settlement Unit pretends this is another mission impossible as they can’t communicate effectively and can’t respond to any email. Incompetence is a very accurate description. Do not recommend to anyone as this is only waste of time and energy to let them deal with even simple case - Update! Told to wait up to 10days. We will see how fast they can manage this this time? Update ! Very long waiting time. Competent in the payout negotiations. Payout done! Case closed.
If I could give this company negative stars I would. They had been supposedly dealing with my boundary dispute since October. The communications are sparse and only when I chase. I had even spoken to my allocated persons supervisor who called me and was very supportive but now she doesn’t respond either. I sent 3 emails in early January. Nothing back. I chased last Monday 19th by phone. Still no reply . They have a SLA of 48 hours but they don’t stick to it. I even told the receptionist that I’d be forced to write a bad review but she didn’t know what trust pilot was. I think it’s unfair to name names on here but would be happy for a response. They were allocated to me by my Direct Line insurance but Direct Line says I have to file my complaint to DLG directly. Maybe this is a start.
