🚨 Disappointed with Costa Cruises Shore Excursion to Rome (Code#02FY) 🚨

Just a heads-up for anyone planning to book shore excursions with Costa Cruises — especially if you're an English-speaking guest. We paid €95 per person for what was clearly advertised as an English-speaking tour to Rome on 10 July. But when we arrived, we found out it was actually a bilingual tour shared with German guests, without any prior notice! The guide had to repeat everything in two languages, meaning we got half the content and rushed explanations in English, while the German part was much longer and clearer. It felt like the tour was really meant for German speakers, and English guests were just tacked on. There were 17 English-speaking guests on our bus — more than enough for a separate guide, but Costa didn’t provide one. Ironically, the Pompeii excursion the day before (also with Costa) had two guides on one bus, split by language. So clearly, it can be done! Worse still, I emailed Costa’s customer service and got a generic, dismissive reply that ignored key issues. When I followed up with more details, they stopped replying altogether. The worst cruise ever out of 50+ we have been on...f a Norway cruise on Costa…

WE went of a Norway cruise on Costa Diadema in June. It was the worst cruise - out of over 50 we have done on many different ships. The breakfast Buffet was a complete disaster, terribly organised, long queues, hard to access items, not being able to serve yourself - what is the point, when guests keep touching other surfaces like elevator buttons all the time? No free coffee after breakfast, many services have been removed or are now paid only. Generally, a stingy, mean, poorly organised cruise experience, much worse than other cruise lines we sailed with, and even much worse that Costa used to be.... Costa was always a low-class cruise, but at least it had a cheerful, generous Italian spirit. This is now all gone... Many standard services disappeared - for example, there is no longer salt or pepper at the tables and you have to queue separately to get some salt with your eggs... this is just insane! There are no tablecloths anywhere. everything is now charged as an extra. It is high-pressure merchandising everywhere, what used to be social activities have now turned into high-pressure sales meetings. The whole experience is low class, irritating and mean, and the buffet restaurant manager should be sacked for quietly standing by at the disastrous breakfast queues without doing anything. Return to earlier standards of service, arrange for multi-queue self-service islands at the buffet, and generally stop treating your customers like idiots trying to make them pay for everything!

They sell the tickets and after cancelled with all bookings from airplane London to Barcelona.days off from work .hotel suddenly they can selling all of them, even no money back.Don't trust this company to book in your holiday

We had an alwful experience with Costa…

We had an awful experience with Costa cruise lines. 1. Their application is not user-friendly and their informational campaign before the cruise was intended only to sell us upper package and next cruises instead of highlighting the embarking period in the onboarding day. Lack of instructions regarding the embarkation process. We nearly miss the ship because they showed in the application "all on board 6 PM" in our onboarding day without emphasizing that customs is leaving 4 PM and our embarking hour is 3:30 PM. 2.Our cabin smells disgusting, I believe that vent system from the kitchen somehow was close to our AC system and we could smell what they cooked. 3. No free tap water in the restaurants. The first cruise ship that requires to pay our tap water. 4.Dirty cups, forks and spoons in the buffet all the time. The suspicious hygiene was everywhere. 5.Long queues in the buffet 6. Extremely humble list of dishes in the buffet. Usually, the good taste was not their higher priority. 7. On Costa Pacifica Cabin 2202 is for the crew, two separated beds that they even do not have an eye contact. They promoted this cabin as standard and assign it to our friends. For 4 nights they refused to change it because they were "full". On the 4 our of 7 nights they found a normal cabin and compensate is with champaign for 5 $ and 5 macaroons. 7. Reception team was full of non-professionals. NEVER ever I will book a cruise with Costa cruises line. Don't do it too!

Fantastic

Good morning . We have just returned from a wonderful.holiday on board costa toscana . Our names are alexandra and Alexander Campbell in cabin 5079 Our dates were 21st to 28th Jan. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much tomorrow cabin lady . Kept spotless every day . I would like to.mention specially the waiters who made our trip special with their friendliness and exceptional.manner and service . These people are listed below Please please pass on our thanks and say its from the Scottish guests . In infinity bar the waiter was called Beshoy george bai From Egypt In leonardos lounge The waiters names are Ardian Dwi From Indonesia and another lovely young man from India who we did not get his full name but I can send picture of him . If you ask your staff in Leonardos who had a wee friendly arm wrestle with my husband one evening it was that guy who was fantastic . In argentario restaurant where we had our evening meal the waiters were Shubert and Prizelo from India They were are absolutely first class . Thank them so so much All food,drinks etc on board were great with so much variety and we found all the service we experienced first class. Cruise Costa Esmaralda

Ik ben met mijn familie van 30 september t/m 7 oktober op vakantie geweest met Costa Esmaralda. Het is een super mooie boot maar veel te groot en heel massaal. Aan boord moesten we de Costa card met de creditcard koppelen. Doe dit niet want ze halen er bedragen af die niet kloppen en dit is nog steeds niet opgelost.

Not for English speaking people

Not for English speaking people Costa Toscana ship was beautiful , but the experience was awful. The staff doesn’t speak English , they don’t care about you if you don’t speak Italian. We didn’t have a restaurant booked for dinner for 3 days , and no one cared about it . The entertainment is all Italian and Spanish . When we complained about all these we were told they will give us £100 discount for the next cruise. The next cruise will never happen with them and I will never recommend anyone to cruise with them .

Ist das guter Kundenservice?

Ist das ein guter Kundenservice? Im Rahmen einer Kreuzfahrtbuchung innerhalb Europas unterlief mir beim Ausfüllen des Bordmanifestes ein Fehler. Auf die Frage nach meinem Vornamen setzte ich meinen Rufnamen ein und speicherte meine Angaben. Bei einem späteren Anruf des Kundendienstes erfuhr ich von einem sehr netten Mitarbeiter,das dort alle Vornamen eingetragen werden müssen und eine Fehlerberichtigung(zwei Vornamen hinzufügen) 50!! in Worten FÜNFZIG!! Euro kosten würden. Ist diese Berichtigung so arbeitsaufwendig,oder ist dieser Betrag als Strafe zu sehen? Auf jeden Fall macht man sich so seine Gedanken.

Terrible website, noisy experience on the ship.

Terrible website : nothing works. The website is a disaster. The webmaster doesn't react. the info.europe@costa adress answers, and this polite person added my personal information for the booking, but not that of my wife and daughter. When I try to pay a few thousands , the master-card app asks me to pay 1€ and doenst give an error, but also no 'payment succeeded'. I hope the trip on the cruise will be a little but better than the website. When I choose 'Belgium' as country , I have to go on in French (a minority in my country speaks French!) I can't choose the main language of my own country. After the cruise, that brought us to many beautiful places in Norway, I am really in need of rest. We did many splendid walks in the fjords, and searched for the paths without masses of people. But back on the ship... The loud announcements in 5 or 6 languages, the music everywhere, in some places you hear 3 different songs at the same time, the acoustics in the swimming pool... the really over-done colors and lights... I'm so happy to be home and relax again. I feel like I spent 14 days on a fancy fair... for the first time in the 50 years I lived i feel overstimulated.

Goed; personeel, werken enorm hard is helft personeel als in het verleden. Theater shows super goed en gevarieerd. Slecht; weinig bespreekbaar m.b.t. E11 p.p in het verleden bespreekbaar (wij gaven altijd enveloppen met bedrag voor diegene waar wij mee te maen hadden) Tip betaal de mensen die je niet ziet (keukenpersoneel etc meer) Niet meer de hele dag water koffie en thee, nooit geweest..tragisch is dat er veelal erg veel moet bijbetalen en alles beargumenteerd wordt als; komt door corona en verlies. Communicatie niet altijd juist; bv als je lid bent-meerdere keren hebt gevaren dit lidmaatschap blijft. Klopt dus niet. Mijn 6e keer nergens meer terug te verhalen. Informatie klopt veelal niet. (zoals korting na 30 maart boeking.

Rib Trip Vasgoy via Costa Cruise slecht en te duur.

Prachtige reis gehad met de Costa Favolosa naar Noorwegen. Maar een geboekte excursie via Costa met Stormstad.no, Rib boat, gaf niet wat beloofd was. We zouden allemaal hoogtepunten van het eiland Vasgoy zien, maar dat is allemaal niet gebeurd. Reactie van een personeelslid Costa, welke meevoer op de Rib Trip was dat zij het wel mooi vond. En dat degene van de organisatie die dit aangegeven had, dit niet had mogen beloven. Grrrr.. € 140,=, het geld niet waard.

The cruise staff was very kind, but the company's policy of milking the customer under various pretexts is disgusting. 1. If someone does not drink alcohol, for a one-week trip he has to buy a package of soft drinks for 200 euros so that he can be served with a glass of tap water at dinner. You got it right! You are not served tap water, and a glass of still water costs you 3.5 euros. 2. apart from the expenses shown, on the ferry you find out that you have to pay an official tip of 11 euros per day... It is deducted from the card you register with them. 3. The service is quite impersonal. 4 Excursions on land such as short trips are presented bombastically. On the spot, however, you often encounter bored guides, lack of attention and carelessness on the part of the organizers. Burn-out and sadness at crowded and overexploited tourist sites (at least in the case of the Carribbean islands)
